The gameplay is hard enough that it requires tactics if you want to even survive, but not so hard it feels like the AI is cheating. It doesnt try to pidgeon hole you into using CQB tactics for the sake of it, you need to use CQB tactics out of necessity. And by nature of CQB tactics, you start growing a mind meld of sorts with your buddies as you play, and work on your flow and teamwork, which is really gratifying.
