I have had that feeling for so long now Jack. The only thing really keeping this from being more popular is the simple fact that it's just not advertised enough. Some people will say, "It's better that it's underground" or something to that effect. But, the gameplay itself will always organically create the community. We need to see this game advertised more. End.
Disagree. The game has a very tough learning curve and the vast majority of players don't have the patience for that or have the ego that can take a bruising for a long time.
I started in PVP, got my ass handed to me over and over, so I went to PVE for a while to learn the maps and get a better feel for the gunplay. Returned to PVP and haven't look back.....2k+ levels later....
More advertising wouldn't hurt, never does, but that's not the reason it is a niche game.
@@touchgrasstryhard8604 I get where you're going but, don't think it's totally accurate. Compared to games like Squad, Hell Let Loose, Post Scriptum, etc.. ISS is much easier to get. I started on PvP and loved it from day one as did the majority of people I know who play it. Many of whom were coming to ISS on console in a wave to find something fill the void of BF and COD.
The fact that the game is HARD or HARDCORE for sure, is that I mean about the community cultivating itself. There are a lot more people out there interested in this style of play and honestly, it's the only one really doing it in a way that's so easily digestible. Game modes aren't complicated and roles are simple but important. Again, this isn't Squad.
I honestly like that you run into the same people often.
@@DJ-sn2wn I do too. Would just be nice to see some broader coverage for this game. Especially considering how solid the core mechanics are.
I think what might be restricting the playerbase is just the lack of any real progression system. A lot of people like having that carrot on a stick to keep them coming back and playing more.
This game is so damn good. Probably one of the best games to drop in the last 5 years
agreed. I just started playing a month or so ago and boy was I missing out. Better late than never though I suppose.

At 32:02 the A10 warthog sounds almost like it does in real life. Its very rare to actually find a game that gets the sound so close. Brings me back to my time in Afghanistan.

The part on the front of the m4 is called a post sight you’d keep the post on in case your sight died in the field you could still utilize iron sights hope that was helpful love your channel!

@@nickloven6728 I’m sure it has proper name but that’s the name that given in the army when I served and it’s the one I use to this day as a post rises and a mount falls easy way for me to always remember
Also you could get a cowitness sight picture which helps you train muscle memory and find the dot quickly.
@@acvfun I prefer a lower 1/3rd cowitness as it is the best of both worlds and provides less target obscurity.
I bought this over bf2042, great game. Surprised me how good it is for £25 and the menu music reminds me of bf2.
For me it says it’s £34.99!
Same....I was debating on which one, I couldn't even play the trial after a couple of hours do bf 2042. It wouldn't let me log in ....but this game is just so much fun. I like the voice chat....makes for interesting interactions

Fun fact the A-10 warthogs “Hellfire” machine gun has so much firepower it can only be fired in bursts, as it slows down the jets speed, and could be significant enough for it to fall out of the sky under prolonged fire.

One of the games where you can immerse yourselves and opt in and out of casual or hardcore very easily. Severely underrated.

@@tonsillectomy4002 I've heard from friends that are still on last gen that it can be rough at times performance wise but it seems like they're doing they're best to get it to run smooth. On the new consoles it now runs flawlessly. They we're extremely quick in fixing the bugs of the first week like leaning audio and so on. Very much recommend it
@@tonsillectomy4002 if you play on either of the next gen consoles it basically runs as smooth as it does in the video. Last gen has issues though unless you don't mind 30fps.

I doubted this game. But after seeing all the comments I finally bought in and got it…. Literally played it for 8-10 hours straight. Highly underrated game and has so much potential.

This game is honestly so much fun. Everything about it is great imo especially the sound it’s terrifying when you here a Warthog or attack chopper above you

This game and Help Let Loose are really fun but I have to be in the right mood to play. Right now I'm addicted to Dying Light 2 it's so good one of the best open world games I've played in a long time!
Easily my favorite tactical shooter. The Gunplay, Audio, Weapons. Everything is so solid.
Picked this game up a while ago and is hands down my favorite hardcore casual fps.

The new update basically got rid of all the tiny details like eye color for security and pistol equip animations

I play coop exclusively and I've racked up about 500 hours in the game since launch. Played the original Insurgency for years before that. Modded servers on coop are my favorite. So fun being able to use a whole arsenal of weapons.
Is this game still active? Currently on sale through Steam. Wondering if people still play this so I can purchase.
Glad your giving this great game traction, small developers behind it, I hope more players who use the excellent proximity chat and like hard core come to ps5, cross play between ps and xbox is coming this year as are next gen update and new maps, modes and guns etc

For the M4A1 the iron sights, the option for flat top in the beginning of the video I’m in the marines and we call it the A Frame
one of the best games I have ever play! I still play it every single night with my mates. We play a ton of hardcore coop with a lot of bots, slow milsim
2 of my close friends have their own characters on multiplayer also the instrument on the menu music is called the saz its a kurdish instrument

Been playing this game for a while now. Hardcore Co-op (PVE) is by far my favorite and the closest thing to a realistic tactical squad gameplay on console.
Anyone else find it weird watching modern fps games with an actual war now going on in real life too

I had a good run with it. Been awhile since I played it. I'll eventually come back but I'm not feeling it lately. Been playing super animal royale, Anthem, and battlefront 2
this reminds me of the Medal Of Honour reboot in 2010? that had very similar game mode to push
still has a tight and active community even today. It has gotten a bit of a revived with the latest PS5 update. this was the game that brought me back to PC gaming after all the years on console !

Hardcore coop is so much fun. A little more relaxed compared to PVP and not as toxic, while still be serious.

I’m a console sandstorm player on Xbox series x and the game runs very well. Highly recommend for anyone else on console. As the chat member says there’s no aim assist but you get used to it after a while.

Ivan the boneless is a badass he’s from a show I forget the name of it.. I’ve only wanted clips and part of a few episodes the show is called “Vikings” I believe if ur into that type of stuff I highly recommend it it’s a fking AMAZING show from what I’ve saw so far

@jackfrags The first Rainbow Six game I ever played was RS: Rouge Spear on the PC, at the time the gfx were really good, but obviously today's games make it look 8-bit lol but the gameplay was really fantastic, very much a medium milsim.
Next truly fantastic milsim I played after that was Operation Flashpoint that I played with a mate and my bro, was good times.
After that before I knew it Battlefield: 1942 came out and I was all over that like ants in a picnic basket 👍. Anyways love your channel dude, have a good one!

Insurgency has some of the best gunplay and sound and explosives and maps I love it

Graphics and animations over all looks like operation: harsh doorstop ( this game under development ) the same engine probably and both looks so damn good !
Tho i play at SEA server its mostly people speaking maderin or something. But the thing that makes me happy is that everyone tries their best to speak english and communicate. We have a lot of fun this game is a gem
Last time I played this game was 25 April 2020.
Been stuck on this game since I got it. It's best played slowly with group tactics, run and gun will usually get you wiped. PlayStation community seems to be active and fun to play with.
I just downloaded this game and I've been playing it almost exclusively. Gives me the realism I want while still keeping the more fast paced action of BF

The Xbox version still doesn't have gore effects, ever counter strike condition zero in 2005 had gore/blood effects.

the thing i love about insurgency sandstorm is you can talk to the enemies with proximity voice chat, i love sneaking behind them and whisper *psssht, turn around bozo*
That “triangular front sight post” is called an FSB or front sight block, because the M4 is direct impingement it feeds gas through a tube to the bolt carrier to cycle the spent casing and feed a new cartridge.
Flat top is typically referring to the upper reciever and not the FSB because you have upper recievers with forged carry handles.
You can see though that the “flat top” function just changes out the FSB (front sight gas block) for a standard gas block without a front sight
