Love your videos, Dearest Hans, you take us with you on your fantastic adventures, journeys and explorations and discoveries in metal detecting. Your videos are so professional, informative and fantastic!! sound is amazing, and the scenery is so beautiful. I find myself pausing your video constantly just so I can look more longingly at the background and scenery and lay of the land. we can hear the beeps of your metal detecting equipment, bees buzzing and birds chirping which heightens our senses as you take us with you... love your weathered hands... from digging and scraping rocks and earth away from your fantastic finds, sometimes I want to massage essential oils into your hands and restore, thank you so much for sharing with us. with love from your friend in Montana.

wieder mal pure Entspannung deinem Video zu folgen. Genau so sollte man diesem Hobby nachgehen.
Great video with some excellent and unique finds. I especially like the weight. Your videos are edited very well, educational and so therapeutic. Thanks for sharing. Jason.
Great vidio Hans, you are to be commended on your patience in such a difficult site but nice to see you were rewarded with lovely finds , look forward to watching your next great adventure
I woke up this beautiful Saturday morning, sat down to enjoy a cup of tea and am utterly delighted to watch another outstanding video you have posted. Wishing you all the best from Missouri, U.S.A.!
It makes me proud and happy to be part of your morning :) thank you for watching and for supporting my channel! all the best to your too! greetings from germany, hans
I really love to watch and I especially love to drink in the beauty and clarity of the nature bits you throw in...it's all so pleasing aesthetically, thank-you!
Hi Hans. Your last find is either a lithic end scraper or a gun flint. They look similar and I can never be 100% sure when I find things like that.. Nice hunt again today and thank you for sharing.
it's a riddle.. but let's wait what the archaeologist will say. I will pass on the info to all of you. thank you for watching and for your kind comment :)
Enjoy all your videos here in Ashtabula Ohio USA. Great to see ancient finds. Our country is not near as old as some of the great Roman find. Thx. Dana Kirk. (Ohio Yankee)
I lived in Giessen, Germany in the early 1970s & I seem to recall those DAS badges were mounted on the front grille of some automobiles, nice find & good video. Danke Schoen.
I love that trade weight. A lot of people would have thrown away the strap end thinking it was just a flat piece of metal, it's a lovely little find. ATB MMMD
Hi Hans, another great video. The flint stone you found is the one archaic item that I can find plenty of in Kansas. The one you found appears to be a "Scrapper", used to scrape the hair off of an animal's hide. Also used to shape and smooth wooden items like a bowl, arrow, bow or similar item. The edge that can be put on a piece of flint rivals today's razor blades. When the iron age rolled around flint would have been used in creating a spark to start a fire or ignite gun powder. It is a very hard stone and can shave hot sparks from iron. It's hard to tell without seeing the piece in person just what it was used for, but its age could go back a 1000 years. They were also used as trade items, which would explain how that piece wasn't from your area. Thanks for sharing. - Fred
thank you for the explanation my friend. I hope it is stone age. most commentators say it is a flint from a flint lock gun though. thank you for watching!
Hi Hans as usual a wonderful video. I love your nature shots. The brilliance green of the of the betel and the wild flowers wow. Your knowledge of archaeology I see helps you a great deal with your instincts at knowing just where to go. Fine work my friend.
thank you for watching and for your kind words my friend :) the green beetle was very patient with me .. I was worried he could fly away before I set up my camera :D

That's exactly why I love detecting Hans, you never know just what will come out of the ground. That trade weight is awesome! Thank you for uploading :)
Congratulations for the findings, really very beautiful, despite the difficult conditions. I loved the weight, a really fascinating object and the ring. Thanks again for your fantastic videos, always beautiful and interesting. A big hug from Italy. Ciao ciao amico Hans 😊😊😊
thank you my friend. the weight is indeed beautiful. I like the year stamps of the gauging office. thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best and a big hug back, hans
Hi Hans , the traders wight was a nice find quit amazing ! looks great , enjoyed it , thank you my friend for sharing . good luck and all the best . Steve UK
Hi again my friend! Awesome treasures you found. Maybe the bowl shaped metal piece was part of a spoon . Just a guess. Thanks for taking us along. You always find such beautiful things! Take care in your travels. Hope to see you again soon!
I totally LOVE your videos! So instructional, many helpful hints, and your knowledge of history is most amazing!! Thank you! {your cinematography also rocks!}
Gut gemacht mein Freund! The 100g weight was very interesting to me. When I lived in Bayern I found several different sized cup weights and also the tiny last part that is small like an aspirin. I would love the opportunity to detect an area like you have there.
Loved it all -- especially the stone. Great eyes spotting that. I'm also looking forward to hearing what your archaeologist will say. Thanks for the video!
I'm happy to hear that my friend :) i guess it's what most viewers are commenting: a flintlock gun flint. but who knows... maybe the archaeologists can say more :) thank you for watching joanna!
Nice Job on going back for round 2. I really liked the old Insurance piece-BIG, and that Trade weight looked awesome after you cleaned it up! Thanks for the vid!...
I may have mentioned this before, me old mucker, but yours are the only videos I never skip through to find the "good" bit, It's ALL good and this one's no exception. I agree totally with adjusting settings to suit and many people are too hung up on Sensitivity. Like you, I reduce mine to cut out chatter in busy areas otherwise I'd go crazy! I also increase Reactivity. Doing this is supposed to reduce depth but I'm not sure how much depth you lose. I doubt it's very much. Thank you for the time and trouble you take to provide us with these videos, Hans. It really is appreciated. Oh, and I think the flint is from a flintlock gun, by the way. All the best to you.
thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear that as it is a big compliment :) a lot of detectorists are afraid to lower the sensitivity but in trashy conditions it's the only way to increase the find rate. thank you for watching my videos and for your support! all the best, hans
Always watch Hans look forward to your videos great relics we have assorted flint around the states as you know most are scrapers, or drills, or spears, arrowheads but in large numbers in some spots we dont have coins and such dated as old as you do though. Atb Russ.
Great finds again Hans! Such an interesting surface find at the end there! Never found any flint stones myself. The trade weight have some great detail to it after a clean! Love how your videos are put together. Very professional! Hope your well? Marc 👍
hello marc :) thank you for tuning in again and for your kind comment! the stamps on the weight are approval stamps from the gauging office frankfurt. all the best, hans

Very nice weight Hans , love them when they have alot of anual calibration markings 🤩... And the flintstone dies look fsmiliar and i live near the northsea
I really enjoy your excellent videography, it's SO good. I don't do metal detection myself, but this video epitomises what I feel it's like! The flint is a striker from a flintlock rifle. Actually, it made me laugh during the round-up, "hey he didn't show finding that!" Thank you Hans all the best to you x
I'm happy to hear that my friend :) thank you for watching and for sharing your thoughts about the flint. most viewers assumed that is what you've said. all the best and thank you for your support :)
Hello Hans, I think concentrating on the signals must be very tiring and I know I couldn't do it for long lol. I looked and thought strap end as the shape seems to be the same in the UK. Love the trade weight, and the little copper bowl which I think is very old. I enjoyed watching your video and learning as you explain things so well and I love the nature shots you use, thank you. Take care my friend, good luck and happy hunting Mary-Ellen UK
hello mary- ellen, it is very exhausting to detect in conditions like that but often there are very nice finds to make and that's why I kept at it. thank you for watching and for your kind comment my friend. all the best, hans
I know others say the flint stone is for a flintlock gun, and very well could be, But the depth of the find seems to indicate as you say -stoneage. I offer another possibility. I'm definitely not an expert, but have found and hunt stone artifacts and found a 10k yr old chert(type of flint) scraper (verified by the Archaeological Society) that looks exactly like your find. It has the same workings like small scoop marks on one end, broken off at opposite end, and the raised area in center, flat with percussive ring on bottom. I can't wait for you to report back. It's probably for the gun lol, but it's difficult to really say, as both items are very similar. I have to go by depth of the find at this point. It's def one or the other. Thanks for the new video!
I'm looking forward to presenting it to the archaeologists. very curious to find out what it is. thank you for watching and for your interesting comment!

Enjoying my lunch and watching your excellent video ! Please return to that site I'm sure there is more to be found!
bon appétit ;) and thank you for watching! I will be back there.. there is more to find :)
All the best to you.
thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear that as it is a big compliment :)
a lot of detectorists are afraid to lower the sensitivity but in trashy conditions it's the only way to increase the find rate.
thank you for watching my videos and for your support!
all the best,
hans

I really enjoy your channel. Thanks for that.
that's great :) thank you for staying tuned!
I really enjoy your excellent videography, it's SO good. I don't do metal detection myself, but this video epitomises what I feel it's like! The flint is a striker from a flintlock rifle. Actually, it made me laugh during the round-up, "hey he didn't show finding that!"
Thank you Hans all the best to you x
I'm happy to hear that my friend :) thank you for watching and for sharing your thoughts about the flint. most viewers assumed that is what you've said. all the best and thank you for your support :)
Thank you Hans! I should be out detecting but your video's are hard to resist ;-) Danke! GL&HH!
haha. . sorry! thank you for watching my friend :)
Take care my friend, good luck and happy hunting Mary-Ellen UK
hello mary- ellen,
it is very exhausting to detect in conditions like that but often there are very nice finds to make and that's why I kept at it. thank you for watching and for your kind comment my friend.
all the best,
hans
Thanks for another video Hans, love how much effort you put into your videos and the advice you give out. Cheers
thank you for watching and for appreciating :)
