    I read that the Honda Fresh air pipe was 2 inch ,if that is true I wonder why the 2 inch Fernco was so big that you had to go down to a 2x1-1/2 ro get it snug enough ?
    I also wonder if you had cut the pipe right past the snap on cover if the OD of the pipe is jarger there than it is where you tied into ?

    Hey bud, how do you plan on sealing your air box? I guarantee those clips holing the lid on will not hold all the water out when fully submerged .

      John Smith I'm going to go around the lid with dielec grease. Did this with my 700 grizzly and it works great at sealing without permanently bonding the lid to the box like sealer would. The next vid in the project series will show it when I hit all my electrical connectors.

    I love that design Jason - under the roof is ingenious.
    Do you have to sand it before painting?

      I didn’t and it’s made it through all year now and still looks great.
      Schedule 40 pipe don’t have that glossiness to it like some pipe and the paint seamed to stick well to it. If I remember correctly I put three coats on.

    I want to be like you. I have a 1000/5. Should I also include the p 500. Double the fun! Right ?

      It's a deadly combo! Between the two I can meet any riding condition I want to experience for the most part. Small, nimble, go anywhere trail buggy with the P5. Decently fast family hauler that can also get work done with the P1k5. It's great having both. The nice thing is you can pick up a nice used P5 for around five or six grand. That's easy to save up for if a brand new one is out of the budget and you don't have the patience to wait longer...lol.

      Thanks. Do you think they’ll ever put a locking front diff on the P5?

      A company called torq master is developing an aftermarket one but no release date for it.

    are you happy with your snorkle location.do you get any noise in your ear from it? does it interfere with seat belt or elbow room.thanks

    • @AppalachianMountainRiders
      @AppalachianMountainRiders  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm happy with how I ran it and it in no way interferes with the seat belt or impedes elbow room. I did, however, put the stock snorkel back on for winter because it was pretty loud right there by my ear with the enclosed cab. My summer tip that extends out the back is nowhere near as noisy though so with that on and the doors and back panel off during the summer it's not bad at all.

    I am probably jumping the gun but do you plan to deal with the pcm unit under passenger seat as well as the battery box?

    What's the largest tires I can put on the 500 before a lift.

      27’s with no mods. Some 28’s can fit if not to aggressive. You can fit some 30’s if you do the frame mode.

    I accidentally found the water line on my p5....needless to say, wasn't a fun ride after that. 75 bucks later in oil and filters she's running again.
