- In this video I demonstrate how to set snaps into leather.
For this project you will need:
- a snap
- snap setter
- hammer (poly, wood, rubber or rawhide. Avoid metal hammers)
- hard surface
- a piece of leather with two holes punched in.

So I got a custom knife sheath and the male end spins what does that mean? Is the snapp set improper ?
What is the proper thickness of leather to use the snap of 10 mm and 15 mm? Is there different snaps in 1 size (10 mm) which can be used for leather with different thickness?

That one tool looks like a Co2 cylinder.
How many mm is the snap you are using?
I dont have a siter can i punch on the table ?
I would not recommend it. At least use a piece of leather under it or carve a sitter out of a piece of wood (you can also drill one).
