Ive lived here for 9 years on a pension and can confirm everything mentioned . Excellent video, very informative and captures the beauty and fascination of living on the North Coast
You killed it again brother. Great information, great video.. I am really obsobing all these information and put into action all I learn from your videos and Taylor made dreams videos . You is a blessing Mr traveler.
Great video. We are in a VERY SEVERE DROUGHT now in the DR. In the 16-17 years I've been coming here, (full time in 2013) I have noticed a big increase in high altitude jets with big trails.
Thank's Mr, T. I'm a Norwegian Living in Florida, And really pissed off about the Chem-Trails Here, was planning to Move to RD to get away from this poison, but it seems to be worldwide. Was living on my sailboat in Porto Plata back in the late 60's, and always wanted to move back. Bein visiting my friend a few times that are living in Cabarete, and just loving the N.Coast of the DR. Thanks again, and keep up the good work. PS, if you got a chance, I'll like to get a little inside from Luperon, and Gringo Hill.
Hi Kurt - Many thanks for watching and commenting! Please send me an e-mail, as then I can forward you some more details about the last topic in my video + suggestions regarding moving here - info@educatedtraveler.info cheers! Brgds Mr.T
Holaaa Love the video and the end was amazing!! Thank you so much Mr T. I’m from Puerto Plata but have been living in the States for more than 25 years now and I have to say, I’m learning a lot from your videos. God bless and thank you 😊
Hi Sarah! Many thanks for your kind compliments and for watching!! I'm currently making one about why many Dominicans itch to leave DR to find a better lively-hood overseas, the culture shock many get, and why many later return to DR. So hopefully you will find this interesting as I'm sure you've got plenty of experience on this topic. Take care! Brgds Mr.T
Educated Traveler I will love to see that video and yes I have a lot of experience on the topic. The reason why I found your TH-cam videos is because my husband and I are planning to move back to DR in a couple of years. We will be looking forward for your next video. Thank you so much 😊

Hi Tony and thanks you very much for watching again, your compliments and cool feedback! :) Yes we can all make a positive difference in this world simply by remembering, that "we don't have to shake the tree of corruption too hard, before the rotten apples start falling down" or as the other proverb goes "we gotta break eggs to make omelettes!" - Peace to you as well - Brgds Mr.T

Great great video brother you really put out content that lives up to the name of the channel!! And the ended was fantastic Thank you so much for your hard work and integrity in helping others get out of the Magical Maze call the Matrix!!! Keep the videos coming!!!😎😎😎
I'm looking to retire somewhere, been checking out SE Asia, but your videos have opened my mind to an alternative to SE Asia. Thank you for the information. M
I assume you're referring to Alan's comment. Most will have to live tight on $1000,-/month, where if you can arrange a $2000,-/month income, then you'll be able to live pretty relaxed. Also leave room for affording "things that go wrong", so have a buffer stashed away for emergencies.
rent is cheap in D.R. but $1000 is still not enough. The point is to live better or at least the same level as in your home country but not worse. That being said you will still want to shop go out to movies and have drinks and buy clothes occasionally. Santo Domingo the capital has fine dining many of the same fast food restaurants you'd find in the U.S. and is a very cosmopolitan city so you will need to factor in entertainment and GAS is very expensive in the D.R. so $1000 is not enough.
I don't think you could live on 1000$ a month, I live in London which is expensive an I live on 1090$ a month equivalent, an I drive a Suv, get my rent paid an that's what I'm left with. However I'm sure that's what I'd need to live in the dr..
That $350 a month, probably is for 1 room, and probably no beach view. Food can be expensive, and if you own a vehicle, gas and the cost of the vehicle can be costly as well. You definitely can live in $1000/month is you live like a student.
I was going to say working from home, if you know how to sell online then you shouldn't have a problem, you might colabatate with someone else from a different country, but as long as you can have a regular income you will survive an live a comfortable life in the dr.....
Hi Matt - Many thanks for watching! Yes the spraying is a global attack by the elite on us all. The best videos I've found online covering this, is by "Dane Wigington" in his channel also called "Geoengineeringwatch". Where did you move to if I may ask?
@@EducatedTraveler I've seen some of his videos but I'll have to check out his more recent stuff thanks. Living in Monte Cristi I actually spoke with you about a year ago.
Hi Mr.T. i have to tell you that i have become very addicted to your channel. you are providing so much needed information. I live in the US, from NYC, and i have mentioned before that i have been to DR 17 times and will be there next month again. I am a general manager for going on 6 years now for a big vitamin and supplement company ( VitaminShoppe ). I am also a certified health and wellness coach where i help many people, especially the elderly, get off prescription drugs and start taking their health into their own hands and to learn not to trust doctors all the time. So i know very well about the chem trails and the conditions in our air and in our food and the global depopulation and the financial gain of the US government and the pharmaceutical industry. It would be great if you could do a video about the health care system in dominican republic, and to actually find someone there, anyone, who is born raised there, and has decided to live a vegan lifestyle. and have them speak about the importance of learning about ( if possible ) staying away from medical drugs and the side effects and why its important eat healthy food from the earth. i have a girlfriend there, who has a 4 year old daughter and her daughter is sick at least once or twice a month, and my girlfriend just runs her to the doctor every time and just doesnt understand that all the injections and medications her dauther is taking is weakening her immune system. her mother has type 2 diabetes and her father has mid stage Alzheimers. and if i could offer just one business suggestion that i promise would triple your subscription growth ( because yes i know you are in hopes to generate an online income from youtube ) . you have got to have these videos include Spanish subtitles. even if you have to upload a second video ( so you dont loose views ), that would be the best addition to increasing your views and subscriptions that we can share these videos with spanish speaking people as well. you are doing a great job MrT and i wish you all the best with this because it is very very informative!!! cheers brother! i salut you!
Thanks for watching Darren! Hope everything goes well for you, and feel free to reach out when you're ready, as I run a "Relocation Advisory Service" and I should be able to save you a pile of money about how to avoid the many pitfalls down here - Just send an email to info@educatedtraveler.info and I'll be able to send you more info, cheers! Brgds Mr.T
Hi there! Yes it's a global attack on humanity and our planet by the Elite, to create new markets based on destruction of everything good humans value. I will be launching a video about it all soon, thanks again for staying tuned! Brgds Mr.T
Mr. T, could you tell me what he's saying at 2:43 when he says, "You can rent a nice apartment here in the (?) area or the Sosua Puerto Plata area." It sounds kind of like 'Albateya area' but I can't find that anywhere. Could you please tell me what area he's talking about? Thanks, and great video by the way!
Hi there and thanks for watching and your kind compliment!! He said "El Batey", which is an area very close to the Sosua town center - good luck! Brgds Mr.T
I was looking at doing the DR thing, but New Zealand wont pay a pension for any more than 152 weeks(something in that order) while you are out of the country, otherwise it stops. The Gov't reasoning is that they want some of the pension spent in NZ. Makes it hard as I would love to be there. Great vids, very helpful.
Hi John, and thanks for watching! I suppose the Government also keeps a tight log of when folks fly in and out to help them enforce this pathetic rule to try to discourage people from leaving in the 1st place. Good luck getting around it! Brgds Mr.T
Mr. T first let me say your videos and the information you share is awesome! I will be moving to live in the D.R. in 2021 and I just recently started eating 85 to 90 percent of my meals plant based close to a vegan type diet. I know the D.R. culture is not geared towards that but do you know of any vegan eating location and if so can you do a video on that? Thanks sir I have learned so much from your show.
Thanks Darren for both watching and commenting! You won't find many restaurants specifically focusing on vegetarian meals, however there are plenty of fruits and various types of veggies for sale both in the supermarkets and from mobile fruit vendors, so if you're into cooking, then this should be fairly easy and interesting for you. I can suggest you invest in my "Relocation Advisory Service" as there are many potential and expensive pitfalls new-comers can fall into, and for a modest fee, I can help you avoid those issues and guide you in the right direction and to the best suppliers with just one or two sessions. If you send me an email, then I'll be happy to send you prices and further info, cheers! Brgds Mr.T
Great video love the song a the end. I thought thou when i was in sosua most of the food was organic i didnt even they could have afford to use pesticides.
Hi Ant - Many thanks for watching and commenting! On many of the larger plantations they do use pesticides, however there are many smaller growers one can get organic fruits & veggies from as well
I am glad u told me the first 2 times i stayed in dr i was at resort in punta cana and the food their tasted like food in the states. But when i was in sosua the food tasted so fresh and the vegetables and fruits were so delicious i guess that why i thought most of food was organic their. But either way i try to stay away from gmo types of food.
Yes most food here is produced quite organic, one just needs to keep an eye on packing dates of i.e. meat, as in some supermarkets here, they will sell you well expired products, or take the chicken they can't sell, then cook it with a crispy look and try to sell it as warm "ready cooked chicken" (always give it a good sniff before buying it)
That part of the video was so disheartening! I know that stuff is going on I’m the US but to know it’s happening on a global level is crazy! Btw anyone know the name of that particular version of the song because I can’t find it anywhere
Hi there and thanks!!! Please email me at info@educatedtraveler.info and include your name and your question again, and then we can communicate freely there, cheers!
Thanks for the helpful videos! My question. Can you just move down there and rent a place? As a retiree, don't I have to worry about immigration authorities, like restrictions and stuff?
Hi Zig! I can definitely give you advice, however if I give you "the tail" then you'll need the entire "dog" if you get my drift. There's different choices to be made for everyone, depending on their situation, their goals, part or full time living etc... etc... so if you're willing to hire my services, then I would open up on all the best ways for you based on what I learn about your situation and goals. To obtain my consulting prices, simply drop me an e-mail to: info@educatedtraveler.info and I'll send you my price plan. Brgds, Mr.T
Hi Mark! It can range from $60 - $120 / night Here's a good one you can try contacting: * Sosua Wellness Resort whatsapp: +1 829-693-2278 For others, watch my videos about hotels in Sosua / Cabarete Brgds Mr.T
I wonder where is the other 2600 dollars use for if 350 pays all his housing let’s say 200 for food a month , now what is 2400 spent on lol he is ether a heavy party guy or a big (John) lol
Hi Eric, and thanks again for watching! Actually food (for most folks here) end up being one of their major expenses. And yes a lot of the single guys certainly burn quite a bit on fun and partying, a major contributor to the economy here. Regarding Johnny, he travels a lot. Right now he's trapped in Haiti with all the turmoil going on (but safe with friends), so I just hope he can get safely back over here soon. Brgds Mr.T
Educated Traveler I like all your videos my comments are in humor never in bad taste I’m not a Sosua guy but I will stop by one trip and say howdie partner
Hello, thank you for the video and Info. If you don't mind, what are the safest and more sophisticated cities to live in the North area and which are in the East area? I am a baseball Scout and will be very probably sent to Dominican Rep. No problem with the language, culture or clima, I am originally from Cuba. Thanks in advance
Hi William, and thanks for watching! In this country, if you can jab a stick in the ground, then you're certified. However opening a business here (and succeeding) is a different story all together. If you're willing to hire me as a consultant for this and other topics relating to relocating here, then you'll probably end up making some wiser decisions. Here it's like "groundhog day" watching different folks come and make the same typical mistakes as other have before them (especially in business). If you're interested in finding out more about my services, then please e-mail me at info@educatedtraveler.info and I will reply with prices and info, many thanks. Brgds Mr.T

Yes most food here is produced quite organic, one just needs to keep an eye on packing dates of i.e. meat, as in some supermarkets here, they will sell you well expired products, or take the chicken they can't sell, then cook it with a crispy look and try to sell it as warm "ready cooked chicken" (always give it a good sniff before buying it)
Thanks for advice i will keep that in mind witch grocery store do u normally go to mr. t. Out their
In Sosua, there's Super Pola and Playero, and I also use the smaller "Colmardo's" (convenience stores) for smaller shopping visits
Good video
Many thanks! Brgds Mr.T
Dam those chem trails!
Yep and the bastards spraying them!
That part of the video was so disheartening! I know that stuff is going on I’m the US but to know it’s happening on a global level is crazy! Btw anyone know the name of that particular version of the song because I can’t find it anywhere
What's the name of the Hotel you were filming at , overlooking Sosua Beach?
It was probably at the old "Sosua Bay Hotel"
Good vid
Many thanks! :) Brgds Mr.T
Great video! How do you live there without sponsorship or a residential visa? I'm a USA Citizen.
Lots of Serbians in Thailand, too. What's the attraction for Serbs???
All the same as other Gringo's find attractive - the benefits are packed into all my videos. Thanks for watching and commenting! Brgds Mr.T
Sounds positive Eric and many thanks for watching. Yes come on over, we have room for all good folks :) Brgds mr.T
Hi there Arie! If you're relocating here, then feel free to check this video, cheers! th-cam.com/video/89uxIXnCyCI/w-d-xo.html
Hi there! On the North coast both Puerto Plata and Sosua are quite modern and down south it's either Punta Cana or Santo Domingo. Brgds Mr.T
@@EducatedTraveler Much Appreciation!!!
Is postal working good, sending packages from Dominican ?
Nope
do you need a barber certificate to open a shop in the DR
Hi William, and thanks for watching! In this country, if you can jab a stick in the ground, then you're certified. However opening a business here (and succeeding) is a different story all together. If you're willing to hire me as a consultant for this and other topics relating to relocating here, then you'll probably end up making some wiser decisions.
Here it's like "groundhog day" watching different folks come and make the same typical mistakes as other have before them (especially in business). If you're interested in finding out more about my services, then please e-mail me at info@educatedtraveler.info and I will reply with prices and info, many thanks. Brgds Mr.T
Nope. Not like the states.
Water shortage is due to lack of hydraulic infrastructures, not because there is no rain in the DR
and heavy incompetence by local municipal water cabal!
That black guy in 911 sounds like grant Cardone 😂
Enjoyed your documentary, I live in Ontario, Canada and own my own business in contracting, so if I brought down $20,000. for 4 months, I would be very comfortable, on account my busy time is from May-Nov.
Thanks for watching Jeremy! You would have so much left after living as a king that I would ask for a big channel donation - lol :) Brgds Mr.T
Niko is a cool guy..! Hope he and his girlfriend make it there.
Thanks for watching! Brgds Mr.T

Do you need 2000.00 / 3000.00 per person per month? Or a combination of 3000.00 for 2 people?
Hi Jillian and thanks for watching! There are many factors of course, but if you have $2000+ coming in per month, that should be fine for a couple. Brgds Mr.T
makes your money follow you that is the solution
That is the gospel truth!!!
:30 Divas...Is that a bar or strip club?
