    These guys right here know the game fr. We always say it’s soft but they jus adjusting to the rules. It’s like u going to play ball in the hood, u know it’s about to be real physical and hard fouling so u play physical. So that’s how today’s players would adjust to the 80s and 90s. Now those 80s and 90s players will have to adjust

    Gil made a great point against his point. The fact that he’s played at the same weight as Kenyon invalidates the size issue by itself. You can’t just look at a player’s height and weight and think you have the whole story. The biggest difference in the game is the rules designed to create more flow and coaches “greenlighting” everyone. Previously coaches would see a player do something in practice and forbid them to do it in the game based on size prejudice . Now if your shot doesn’t break the backboard, the coach encourages the player to shoot.

I think shaq was always shaq and can get you 30+15, but it took kobe's growth as a superstar and the role players around them to make the break through.

    K Martin was one of the few that had skills along with the physicality. Most of them didn't have any skills compared to the level on display in today's game.

    That was over in 2008 about them the defense changed we haven't seen a great defensive team since the piston. There aren't any teams with a dominate defensive identity anymore what's a great defensive team now? Exactly there isn't one anymore. Who's q great perimeter defender? There aren't any anymore. Everyone plays no touch defense now the scoring is crazy and people aren't defensive specialists any more. I think it's wack you want a balanced game. If there's a way for offensive teams there needs to be a way to be a defensive team too. My theory on that.
