The biggest difference in the game is the rules designed to create more flow and coaches “greenlighting” everyone. Previously coaches would see a player do something in practice and forbid them to do it in the game based on size prejudice . Now if your shot doesn’t break the backboard, the coach encourages the player to shoot.
Kmart style of play definitely would translate in this era outside of him having an OK jumper all his other tools would fit perfectly just imagine if he didn’t break his leg at UC

K Martin was one of the few that had skills along with the physicality. Most of them didn't have any skills compared to the level on display in today's game.

If there's a way for offensive teams there needs to be a way to be a defensive team too. My theory on that.
