    The bald eagle chasing its voice actor away is a bold move for its public image.

      That is two of many reasons why the American Bald Eagle is the symbol of the United States of America

    At least the Hawk ate pretty good before the Eagle chased it off, nice footage.

    Thanks so much. We have eagles where I live and last winter we had 3 eagles feasting on a dead deer in our pasture. Other birds were 'very interested' but quite cautious around the eagles. What amazed me was how some magpies snuck in and out to get bites too. Not precisely sharing, but tolerating each other. I paint watercolors but only got still shots through my living room window. So nice to have zoomed in details!

    The hawk should have eaten faster.

    This Red Tailed Hawk seemed hungrier than the Bald Eagle based on the reaction of the eagle when she arrived at the scene! However, she was still very protective of his meal, and did a cartwheel at the hawk to drive it away. I gotta ask though, what happened after the video stopped and how much of that raccoon did she eat?

      She ate for at least 20 more minutes.

      @@pauldornbusch6408 I'm sure that Red Hawk finished what ever was left of that raccoon off

    Red tail hawk is pissed...😂😂 Im sure he dropped on that eagle many more times.... And i can assure you the Redtail didn't give up that easy.

      Yeah, after it landed the eagle was watching the skies because apparently the hawk wasn't giving up so easily. You could hear the hawk's distinctive screech in the background and at one point the eagle briefly hovered to free up its talons for a fight like it was thinking the hawk was coming back. The hawk must have given up and left the area because the eagle felt comfortable enough to start feeding. Maybe the hawk realized there was no way an eagle could eat a whole racoon by itself so it went somewhere nearby to wait for the eagle to get his fill and leave. 😄

      No, I feel bad for it too. I was thinking, that the fact it was out in the field and not on the road meant it might have been still alive for a while after it got hit by the car and it probably suffered. Unless the impact of the car was enough to throw it over there.

    • @pauldornbusch6408
      @pauldornbusch6408  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I moved it from the road, so the carion didn't get hurt while they were eating.

    Looks like it starts about 3:10 when the Hawk sees (or senses?) the Eagle about to arrive and claim it.

      "Eyes like a hawk" is an old expression for good reason. It's very difficult to sneak up on pretty much any wild animal, but especially a hawk.

    Fun fact, the sound most people "know" as a bald eagle is actually a RT hawk.

      A lot of the carcass and empty field, hawk walks up and eats for 3 minutes, cowering, flys away, eagle lands, eagle drags carcass out of view, then video or empty field. Is that what you mean. Beginning has been edited.

    This is nature at its finest The king of the skies claims his prize I would rather see the American Bald Eagle eat the raccoon instead of the hawk
