Yeah DJI customer service is ass. I’m 9 weeks in on my order and can’t get a definite answer as to when I will have the pieces I ordered I spent 17k and can’t get an update 🤦🏻
I completely agree with you about Daniel Jewelry Inc. with their customer service or lack of. I got my Miami Cuban chain from them a 10mm. A week later after picking up my chain I emailed them about having a sales receipt of my purchase so I can put insurance on it. I emailed them about 3 times about it and never received a response back. Also the first time I went their to put my order in Daniel came out looked at me I nodded my head Hi and he didn’t even acknowledge me. I should have taken my business somewhere else. Maybe since I not someone famous I didn’t get a Hi. I’m definitely upgrading my chain to a 12mm 24 in early next year from Reys. Also love your new chain so much better. Great videos

I 100% recommend Reys all day. With Rey he is the only one that makes your chain and he really cares about quality. With DJI you don’t know who is making your chain and some are better then others. I’ve seen both good and bad examples. I have yet to see or hear a bad thing about Rey.

I've been checking out Garcia's lately for a Miami Cuban chain. They do their work by hand and tge links are really TIGHT! I couldn't detect light leakage coming through between the links like I have in my bracelet from Daniel.

Yeah I originally ordered a 9mm from Lirys but returned it and went with Daniels for a 10mm. Lirys did have the best pricing (at the time) and good customer service but when I got my chain a good majority of the links were under 9mm as well as being unevenly spaced so sent it back + the Cubans they sell are outsourced. With CMG I’ve heard mixed things like not gray customer service and gold coming up under karat when tested however I respect the father and son team. As for Reys, the work speaks for it self and I have yet to see a single bad review. 100% best Cuban link maker in Miami 😎 BTW do you still have all of your chains/ bracelets? It would be awesome to see a comparison with all in hand?

In my case it took about 3 months bc Rey had a medical emergency that required him to stay in the hospital and then take some time off so he got backed up with his work. Definitely worth the wait though. I payed labor plus the extra amount of gold I needed to add to make the chain.
How much was the labor? I have a 10mm cuban from Daniel jewelry and I also don’t like the flat look either it bothers me every time I see myself in the mirror. It also doesn’t hang straight I’m looking to upgrade with Rey’s. Your chain looks really nice man 💪
As per Reys words: box locks are made in house out of solid gold partially hand made and partially casted without the use of soldering to make them less boxy and more low profile. As to your question if it’s better then Daniels I guess that would be subjective. Having had both I will tell you this one clicks in just as loud, the two ends on both sides snap into the balls just as tight, and the lock itself is just as secure. Looks wise this one is a bit smaller and blends into the chain more compared to Daniels which is more noticeable and bigger. In the end I guess it’s a preference thing which do you like the look of better but then again (In my opinion) I wouldn’t let the box lock alone dictate who to ultimately buy from. For me it’s all about the look of the links and the customer service.

Beautiful chain. Rey's Cubans look great and they're small you will always get great customer service which I like. My only question is the box lock is it casted or handmade? I'm looking for a cuban that is fully handmade and don't want to buy from Daniels.

So you have to call them to place an order? I went to their website and couldn't really choose between options. I can't see different cubans on display whether it's 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm etc. So you have to actually contact them and specifically describe what you want. Am i right?
That is correct the website doesn’t work. They are very active on instagram with lots of pics etc. @reysgoldandcash which has their contact details listed but yes you are correct calling or texting is best.

Thank you bro I 100% agree, you definitely need to be careful and mind your surroundings when wearing this or anything similar for that matter. Unfortunately we live in pretty desperate times. As for the insurance, in my case I have a separate policy for jewelry that covers up to a certain value from the same company I have my home owners insurance with but I think there are also companies that specialize in only jewelry that you can go with as well. I’d just google it.
Same reasons I went with Reys over Daniels. I prefer the traditional rounded link and the customer service. Norma is great. Daniel's doesn't give a fuck

They are an accredited business in Miami and have been around for years. They aren’t going to rip you off and risk their reputation. If you are really interested I’d say message them through Instagram @reysgoldandcash Norma will answer very quickly and she will walk you through the process. I’m sure once you talk to her she will put your mind at ease.

In my case I already had most of the gold needed to make the chain so I basically only paid labor plus the extra 10 or so grams needed so there really wasn’t much to negotiate for on my end. However if it’s a straight sale like in your case it’s definitely worth a try but I’m not sure what they will do. Maybe mention my video and say I referred you lol
@@GlizzysGalore sorry just seeing this now. They didn’t melt the old chain. They did me a favor and handled it like an upgrade so they made me a new one from scratch with their gold. The 2k was there labor plus the extra gold.

Correct. I hate those fake polish cloths tbh! These are just extremely soft cloths that I use to wipe and buff after I clean the chain. They leave no scratches or fingerprints.
Cool i ware my chain everyday and i have to clean it every week to keep that shine i allso have a reys 10mm i cant believe how the skin touching it makes less shine
@@kylesikes9818 I’m kind of OCD when it comes to cleaning my jewelry bc I always want it to look pristine and shiny so I never really let it get that dirty. Like once a week I use this natural plant based spray made for gold and jewelry from the same company I buy the cloths from. It’s wristclean.com these specialize in watch and jewlery cleaning stuff. I spray the chain and use my fingers to lather it up a bit then rinse it off. After that I run the chain through my steamer then dry and buff with those soft cloths. Then on the other days just depending on how it looks I’ll just run it under warm water and use the cloths to buff and dry with out anything else and that keeps the chain looking shiny. I know what I do is probably overkill but I like the results. I’ve also heard dawn dish soap in a plastic bowl gets the job done as well. I definitely recommend these cloths though.

Retail was about 12-13k if I remember correctly but this was an upgrade for me so I only paid labor which was just over 2k because I traded in my 10mm+ extra gold I had.

Nice chain I think 12.6mm is the best width. I have a older 24inch with the lobster clasp. Wearing gloves to handle a gold chain is pointless. It's not a large vvs diamond or Precious stone. No oil or grease or anything on your hands is going to harm 14k gold. Strong acids are used to separate gold from other metals it is very durable. Warm water and mild soap with a little vinegar it will always shine like it's brand new.

I couldn’t tell you that for sure bc I traded in my previous 10mm @188.7g plus another chain that was 77.6 and I payed about 1750 in labor plus the extra 10 or so grams to make up the difference.

Thank you bro. I’m not really comparing the 10mm vs 12.6mm per say. I’m mainly taking about the style of link differences between the two. Regardless of mm Daniels links are always made flat and sharp on the sides which you can see in any of the various videos posted no matter the mm. Reys links are always made rounded and thicker (traditional style) which I personally like so much better.

Yes from what I’ve heard prices have gone up a bit. In my case I already had the majority of gold needed to make my chain. That said if you think about it, Rey is the only one making all of these chains and bracelets from start to finish unlike all these other places and you know in the end it’s going to come out amazing so I feel that it’s worth it to pay a little more for that (depending on the price difference).
Lirys links are think as well. They filing style is all personal preference. D.J.I's filing style is more geared towards a Hip Hop, D Boy style. Lirys filing style is more classy.
I agree just different styles. Everyone has different taste. I actually had a 9mm from Lirys as my 1st chain but returned it. I agree the links are also chunky however they don’t make their own chains. At the time they were buying from VIP.
I mean It’s easy to say that now looking back however I had my DJI 10mm for almost a year before I decided to upgrade. I’m also glad I had the DJI 10mm 1st bc I got to really experience the differences between the two makers which are night and day not to mention the size differences between the mms in hand. Bc it’s very different when looking at videos to compare size on a screen. Reys also really took care of me bc they handled this as an upgrade as if I purchased the 10mm from them not a trade where I would loose money on the back end so I only paid labor to have this 12.6mm made so I’m happy.

Beautiful chain. Rey's Cubans look great and they're small you will always get great customer service which I like. My only question is the box lock is it casted or handmade? I'm looking for a cuban that is fully handmade and don't want to buy from Daniels.
Thank you for the compliments bro. So according to Rey the box locks are partially hand made. My previous DJI 10mm box lock was obviously fully hand made and honestly I can’t tell a difference. If you want my opinion go with whoever’s style of link you like the best.
It's casted, you can see from the video that the box lock is larger than the links, has a weird gap
So you have to call them to place an order? I went to their website and couldn't really choose between options. I can't see different cubans on display whether it's 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm etc. So you have to actually contact them and specifically describe what you want. Am i right?

Thank you bro I 100% agree, you definitely need to be careful and mind your surroundings when wearing this or anything similar for that matter. Unfortunately we live in pretty desperate times.
As for the insurance, in my case I have a separate policy for jewelry that covers up to a certain value from the same company I have my home owners insurance with but I think there are also companies that specialize in only jewelry that you can go with as well. I’d just google it.
Same reasons I went with Reys over Daniels. I prefer the traditional rounded link and the customer service. Norma is great. Daniel's doesn't give a fuck

Yes they do send you an invoice with what ever method you choose. I choose PayPal but they offer other options as well like bank wire or Zelle etc..

They are an accredited business in Miami and have been around for years. They aren’t going to rip you off and risk their reputation. I’m sure once you talk to her she will put your mind at ease.

In my case I already had most of the gold needed to make the chain so I basically only paid labor plus the extra 10 or so grams needed so there really wasn’t much to negotiate for on my end. However if it’s a straight sale like in your case it’s definitely worth a try but I’m not sure what they will do. Maybe mention my video and say I referred you lol

@@GlizzysGalore sorry just seeing this now. They didn’t melt the old chain. They did me a favor and handled it like an upgrade so they made me a new one from scratch with their gold. The 2k was there labor plus the extra gold.

These are just extremely soft cloths that I use to wipe and buff after I clean the chain.
They leave no scratches or fingerprints.
Cool i ware my chain everyday and i have to clean it every week to keep that shine i allso have a reys 10mm i cant believe how the skin touching it makes less shine

I’m kind of OCD when it comes to cleaning my jewelry bc I always want it to look pristine and shiny so I never really let it get that dirty. Like once a week I use this natural plant based spray made for gold and jewelry from the same company I buy the cloths from. It’s wristclean.com these specialize in watch and jewlery cleaning stuff. I spray the chain and use my fingers to lather it up a bit then rinse it off. After that I run the chain through my steamer then dry and buff with those soft cloths. Then on the other days just depending on how it looks I’ll just run it under warm water and use the cloths to buff and dry with out anything else and that keeps the chain looking shiny.
I know what I do is probably overkill but I like the results. I’ve also heard dawn dish soap in a plastic bowl gets the job done as well. I definitely recommend these cloths though.

Yes it came wrapped in tissue paper then packed inside a small jewelry box but it was nothing special tbh. Not sure what they give now though.

Retail was about 12-13k if I remember correctly but this was an upgrade for me so I only paid labor which was just over 2k because I traded in my 10mm+ extra gold I had.

Nice chain I think 12.6mm is the best width. I have a older 24inch with the lobster clasp. Wearing gloves to handle a gold chain is pointless. It's not a large vvs diamond or Precious stone. No oil or grease or anything on your hands is going to harm 14k gold. Strong acids are used to separate gold from other metals it is very durable. Warm water and mild soap with a little vinegar it will always shine like it's brand new.

What did the labor price per gram run you?
I couldn’t tell you that for sure bc I traded in my previous 10mm @188.7g plus another chain that was 77.6 and I payed about 1750 in labor plus the extra 10 or so grams to make up the difference.

Thank you bro. I’m not really comparing the 10mm vs 12.6mm per say. I’m mainly taking about the style of link differences between the two. Regardless of mm Daniels links are always made flat and sharp on the sides which you can see in any of the various videos posted no matter the mm. Reys links are always made rounded and thicker (traditional style) which I personally like so much better.

That said if you think about it, Rey is the only one making all of these chains and bracelets from start to finish unlike all these other places and you know in the end it’s going to come out amazing so I feel that it’s worth it to pay a little more for that (depending on the price difference).

It probably would have been better for you to send it back to Daniel before 30 days and get a refund, than trade it into Reys.
I mean It’s easy to say that now looking back however I had my DJI 10mm for almost a year before I decided to upgrade. I’m also glad I had the DJI 10mm 1st bc I got to really experience the differences between the two makers which are night and day not to mention the size differences between the mms in hand. Bc it’s very different when looking at videos to compare size on a screen.
Reys also really took care of me bc they handled this as an upgrade as if I purchased the 10mm from them not a trade where I would loose money on the back end so I only paid labor to have this 12.6mm made so I’m happy.
