I just watched Harvick's fight's and temper videos and he never takes his helment off. Well that's not entirely true. He'll take it off for Matt k. Or Greg b. He's supposed to be this tough guy. But seems more likely to just be a scared cry baby bullying the smaller kids. NASCAR fans call Kyle Bush a cry baby and support scared bullies like this. Wow.

You can definitely make the arguments for both Harvick and Elliott, I do agree with Harvick that anytime Elliott gets into situations like these, he just always gets the upper hand with fans. But either way, that is PEAK Bristol.

It was a racing deal and Elliot is wayyyyy too dramatic about it. So many drivers have been flat out wrecked this year and nothing happened afterwards. Chase gets squeezed up behind a lap car and gets all fussy like Harvick is supposed to let him go by. Spoiled Brat

This is probably the last 2 drivers I expected to get into it. But I've watched these replays and interviews so many times tonight and I'm still not sure why either driver is mad.
Harvick is mad because he lost the race, his first of the season because Elliott was a moving chicane the last 30 or so laps. Chase had brand new tires and could've easily pulled away but no he decided to slow down, take Harvicks line and ultimately decided the outcome. No wonder Kevin is mad.

Imagine if Harvick held a Hendrick car up multiple laps down with fresher tires to alter the outcome of a race so that one of his teammates could win.

There is more than one lane on a race track. Why didn’t Harvick take advatange of another lane and pass Chase ? Maybe that bottom lane ?
Better yet why did he slid up into Chase and not keep his line to begin with ?
No one needs penalized and Harvick needs to remove that helmet and take it like a man.
Nascar set the precedence earlier in the year about lap cars blocking when Kurt won, so the if they gave out a penalty it wouldn't stick.

I actually blame the GenVI car. The composite body may do better when you hit the wall but even light contact between cars results in a flat tire. Chase and Kevin barely touched.

My takeaways as a diehard Harvick fan: Alright so that was disappointing. Harvick came so close to finally breaking that winless streak but it looks like I’ll have to wait a little longer since Elliott wanted to throw his pity party. I was screaming at my tv for a good 10 minutes in the waning laps and when Harvick confronted Chase. Definitely lost some respect for Chase. On a positive note though this was really the first time all season he has had race winning speed besides the plate tracks. He was pulling away from Larson until Elliott decided to throw a tantrum. I think Chase made a huge mistake by firing up Harvick. We all know what a fired up Kevin Harvick is capable of and the next race is in Vegas where Harvick has had success before!

I had been seeing Chase as one of the most mature of the next generation of drivers..... until tonight. and it sure looked like, when kevin was done listening to chase, that he was telling him he wouldn't be winning anything, he'll get wrecked first. because as he turned to walk away, chase suddenly looked pretty worried and made sure to get him back to talk it out.
When I read the first few words of this, I thought for a moment you were going to say you were a diehard fan, but were going to try and give an honest opinion of the situation, however all you did was type out the most biased view of everything.

Chase is typically a guy who will drop it after that. If Harvick wants to try and go out and one up him and continue on because he is mad someone paid him back, then that's his problem. He went out there and said Chase was acting like a baby, when lets face it, Kevin was doing the crying. Hopefully he doesn't continue on with that as a reputation. He has done too much in his career to tarnish it like this.

Welcome to Bristol, where racing actually happens. If you don't like to make contact with people, go to IndyCar or F1 or somewhere where you can't touch with anyone, plus the team game is amped up in those series. Chase fits into those series perfectly.
