Drugs : winning the war since it began, with no sign of weakening so far. The prohibition is just to give more power to the State, not to protect anyone. It's not up to the State to protect people from their own choices. As Mises said: Freedom includes freedom to make mistakes.

Mistakes are the key to growth, learning, especially since many declared mistakes are not a problem to those making them at all.

In oregon there are many people that claim to be growing hemp that are growing Marijuana. They get permits to grow hemp and have it test before the plant produce the. They can then legally ship the "hemp" across state lines and make more money then selling Marijuana legally locally.

Soft on crime is prohibition. As to socialism, when capitalism fails as it has, something else will fill the gap. Sanders and AOC are not the problem they are a symptom of failing system. Create a fair system without governments controlled by lobbyists and money then perhaps better things will come. Stop legislating morality...
    One of the best lectures...

@David Kinkaide how about unfair. The tax code hundreds no thousands of pages either favouring or unfavouring on segment of tax payers.

@David Kinkaidedo not go to extremes. I define morality as a set of rules defined by custom. But whose custom. Cannabis smoking children is a poor example...keep trying..

@David Kinkaide not capitalism back then mercantilism. The trouble is that capitalism only benefits the ones with capital who can control those who only have their labour to work with. Better lives in the last 100 years came from a strong labour movement. True capitalism is a myth. Just like true socialism. Socialism is not destroying the world it is greed. Where the state or the individual owns the assets or means of production, in the long run the authority ends up in the hands of the few.
