Cedric Giyo ngl, I think they’d enjoy the first season compared to the rest. I kinda got lost throughout the rest of the series but it was pretty neat. Rebecca Sugar really knows how to write shows.
I used to be in to Steven universe reactions is back in the day, but I think Cartoon Network cracks down hard on them in TH-cam. It doesn't help that they're only 11 minutes long so the ones that edit the reaction are really short and the ones that show the whole episodes get removed quickly.

Yeah, this episode had two Steven Universe song references. The first one being a parody of "Giant Woman" at the beginning of the episode and the other reference is the music used in the background when Krillin and 18 are talking, I believe it was called "Lapis Lazuli's Theme". Which is a cool nod because 17 and 18's real names were Lapis and Lazuli.

The song at the end was amazing, also I clearly remember the first time I saw this episode, the final "hello" for some reason gave me chills, the way he pronounces it with sudden menace in his voice, knowing what the original Perfect Cell was capable of. And DBZA's Perfect Cell is absolutely hilarious.
Vegeta's little moment of character development followed by UNYIELDING RAGE is peak TFS. Improved writing on the original plus STELLAR voice acting.
I always get chills when he say "I'd like to say....hello.

@@O_CABBAGEthere’s a difference between reacting and saying every thought you have out loud about the original series and end up talking over half the jokes. So they end up not reacting to a good portion of the series.
The other guys literally have to repeat some of the lines right after they are said because he talked over them. I wouldn’t want to watch this for the first time with him. It would annoy the shit out of me if I’m trying to listen and not miss the jokes and he won’t shut the hell up about remembering the situation in the original.

I don't know what the situation on patreon is, but the movies they posted on youtube are way out of order. So maybe they've watched them but just not posted them here yet? Maybe waiting for after they finish the main episodes to post.
Like, when they posted the Dead Zone movie, they were on the 20s episodes on youtube, but in actuality, they were on episode 31 at that time.

& on that note, fun fact: Kaiserneko (The head editor of DBZA & Co-Founder of TFS) & Stephan Krosecz (an artist and an animator for various TFS Projects) are both die hard fans of Steven Universe (don't care what anyone says *Cough* *Cough* lily, it's a good show, and worth the watch.)
aside from the obvious musical parody of "Giant Woman", the music in the background of 5:16 is Lapis Lazuli's theme.
while this is common knowledge among a majority of TFS fans (myself including) this maybe new for all of you. Perfect Cell's voice, done by Takahata101, is damn near similar to Hellsing Ultimate Abridged Alucard's voice, also done by Takahata 101, which released litterally years before this episode even came out.

Nova Master bro going back and rewatching DBZ you notice how stupid the characters were.
all the characters in dbz are dumb, and cell saga was full of bad decisions. vegeta letting cell absorb 18, fine, its vegeta, and hes a saiyan. cool. but 18, 16, and trunks had all the opportunity in the world to blow 18 up, all the way up to cell's solar flare. they couldve hunted first form cell, he was weak enough to get bodied by piccolo, and when they all showed up, he had to run cause he knew he couldnt take them all. they couldv killed gero before the androids he even made his pressence, trunks is a fool for assuming the events would play out the same way just cause you traveled back in time. or trunks couldve killed them, and so much more things to name. cell saga was just full of terrible choices. it makes it even worse considering cell died with the help of a distraction from vegeta, makes you feel like they couldve just been usin strategy to defeat these villains the whole time.
now obviously we wouldnt get any of the fights and cool stuff we get, the alternative would be a more boring show, and since the show relies on 1v1 matches, you kinda need the characters to be stupid to make it work. but from a narrative perspective all the dbz characters are definitely dumb as hell.
I mean almost all DBZ characters are dumb just from the fact that Goku let Frieza power up to 100% and more

Vegeta could have powered up like Trunks was but he realized he couldn't keep up with Cell. But that was made more clear in the originals series
I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't understand the complaints about them talking over some dialogue. They can miss a couple of zingers, guys. The abridged dub has so many layers, innuendos, easter eggs, and full blown transformative segments that its got something for your 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th watch. Plus they're binging. They don't have the luxory of maranading for months to a year between episodes like we did. Their reactions are fresh and genuine and covering contrast between the original. I would rather them react and express themselves rather than watch in silence like the amateur reaction channels do. Theyre putting on a youtube show and it's entertaining. I know that's my opinion, but the more vitriolic comments especially towards Mickey are uncalled for. Surj is the prefan, Nahiid is the goof, Mickey's the best for nods to the quality and attention to detail, and mike is the trivia hype man. They have all bases covered and I think they're the best in the business right now.
Nahiid is wrong a lot though, which I still find hilarious.
Just to play Devil's Advocate:
I think viewers would go easier on them (Mikey) if they were talking about TFS' work rather than just reminiscing about what happened in the original.
It feels like they're dismissing the great writing/acting/editing that is right in front of them in favor of parroting back material we've all been familiar with since 1996.

Well, you can tell these guys have never watched Steven Universe.
Important to remember character perspectives here. Krillin doesn’t know about Cell trying to absorb 18. In his mind, he was supposed to blow her up because she was dangerous. Once she said she wasn’t going to kill anyone, he didn’t see a reason to keep the remote around until she presumably tells him the situation after that. All this to say, Krillin isn’t being dumb, he just doesn’t know what we know.
Also. Running is beyond pointless. Cell is faster than all of them.

Trunks wasn't stronger than Vegeta. He just thought he was because of the Ultimate Super Saiyan form, which Vegeta and Goku already knew about and recognized was not a viable fighting technique due to its speed reduction.
