Hey, i put same headers on my is300, with brand new factory gaskets, no leaks and everything was good, i did do an 02 sensor extension on the 2nd tube reading the exhaust, and i havent had any issues, no CEL. My mid pipe was cracked so I did do brand new magnaflow midpipe, and everything runs into greddy exhaust. Its load, maybe too loud for it having no power, but top end you can def feel the difference, it does sound good but its def louder than i want.
I was considering trying thicker gaskets cuz I don’t really want to go through the bs of buying new headers again or going back to stock. But yeah I agree it forsure needs this mod to have the nice tone to the motor
Figgs makes nice ones that will fit no problem. Little expensive but the quality is great. I would run them on my car, but unfortunately I live in California . So having headers is straight to jail. I do have a Greddy exhaust and that’s enough to get pulled over the struggle is real.
Unless you plan on remapping the air and fuel ratios, straight piped headers are not worth it. They are better off hung and used as an overhead light fixture for your work bench.
@@Baggedpringlez lexus did a good job with sound dampening. but im going back to my cat headers and single resonator. i find the sound is still loud, and has a nice deep grumble.
where did you get your mid pipe from i couldnt find any good sites and ended up ordering one from brockett built which was 695 in total i wasnt sure how reliable the site was but i needed one asap
Sheeeesh tbh I didn’t think a mid pipe would make that much of a difference so I just opted to replace my one with a new stock model. I think I got it for like 120 bucks online. I wanted Megan but I just can’t see the worth in 600 for a mid pipe. I felt like it would of been cheaper to get a custom one straight pipe welded up
@@Baggedpringlez yea i didn't think so either but i couldn't find anything cheaper or couldn't even find other options tbh it was confusing to search for where did u get your $120 midpipe from
Forsure does! But after feeling air coming straight out of the gasket on the bottom after retorquing the bolts, the better option would be to get different headers and then tune to those! I fully agree with you!
You could have ground away some of the mount or slightly dent the pipe to make it not hit the mount.
Actually I switched out for Megan headers and had flawless results and install I should be uploading that this coming Saturday! 💪
@Baggedpringlez Nice do you have a part number for them?

Yeahhhh that’s probably the route I’ll end up going. Thank you! I forgot about figgs ngl I only thought about them for suspension.

Honestly I got it mainly for sound over power the car is just too quiet compared to my z 😅

@@Baggedpringlezthose flat gaskets that come with the header are garbage. They are not meant for high compression. I learnt this the hard way.
Would you recommend buying them? Idk whether I should get them or not
No sir currently shopping for new headers myself lol
@@BaggedpringlezI sell Megan headers! I can show you a clean setup my customer got
