- Dear TH-cam subscribers!
I am a passionate lover of wonderful TV series.
I am passionate about sharing the content of wonderful dramas by narrating them to you, and I expect that you will be able to watch more wonderful dramas.
My channel covers two aspects:
On the video side, I mainly update horizontal videos with commentary and reviews on dramas.
On the Shorts side, it mainly updates short videos, which are secondary creations of exciting TV series with distinctive features, and include comments and commentaries with specific meanings.
The sweetest most sincere character was Celia. She had such a good heart.
True!
She was too gentle, too sweet for that hateful time.
@@ecueto395 you are right she is very sweet i have never seen her be mean tbh
yeah her and her husband had the healthiest relationship in the movie
She was my favorite. The most beautiful and the most envied.
I loved how she treated minny so respectful considering those times. We all need to treat and love one another like that despite color
Basically the reason they didn’t like her was bc she grew up real poor in an area that black people lived in as well. So she grew up almost equal to them. And that’s why they didn’t like her and then when Johnny left hilly and got with her of all people it was mind blowing to them.
not all white people in that era were cruel
@@hairanirodzi3109no, but the racial division was reinforced. Dad told me about innocently sitting next to a black woman on the bus as a boy and he got such a scolding from disapproving people. People were nice, some for sure, but not a lot of people have it in them to push back on societal pressures.
It is impressive what the civil rights movement accomplished. A lot of suffering to get there. The little white kids like my Dad did grow up to march with black Americans as adults. At least some did. Good hearts come in all packages.
Great comment, but the word despite, makes it seem that colour is a factor to be overcome. People should be treated fairly. Full stop.
...❤!!
The actress Celia was soooo good and convincing! Everyone else was great too but I really feel like she got so into Character! Well played 👏
Her name is Jessica Chastain and she is one of the best actresses ever. She was nominated for an Oscar for this performance and sadly lost. Then she was nominated again for Zero Dark Thirty and lost again. BUT, she did win an Oscar for leading actress years later for "The Eyes of Tammy Faye"!!
@rosalynhilliard7627 oh and btw she lost the award to Octavia (she played Minnie) so it really was these 2 incredible women that made movie magic together and both got Oscar recognition!
@SquirtlePower809 oh really? I knew Octavia won for this role, but hearing she won at this actresses loss makes me sad and happy. They both did really well. Had no idea she was nominated, thanks! ❤️
@@SquirtlePower809oh dang, that's her? I know her from crimson peak but somehow didn't recognize her even tho I loved loved loved her in that 🥰
Watch LED live on TH-cam and find out why the acting is SO good!
The fact that when we get to really know Johnny, hes just the sweetest most wholesome, sensible character is the best thing. Hilly would have ruined him and him and Celia were so well written and deserved one another so much.
Yess, thats probably why they broke up in the first place, Johnny saw the red flags and ran lol good for him
He probably saw how Hilly talked and treated the help, that was probably a huge red flag for him, you want to know someone’s true nature, see how they treat wait staff/cashiers etc.
@@princesssmileyface91totally true!! I went on a date with a rich man and we went to a fine restaurant.., but literally ten minutes later in there I asked him, politely, to asked the waitress to cancel the order and to take me back home. He was totally clueless, but he did as I requested. Once he got to my house I told him; "this was and will be our only date. My life's partner cannot be disrespectful human being to anyone, much less to any decent worker looking to meet their financial needs: serving us!", and since that day: never saw him again. 😎
He sent several flowers arrangements, apologizing.., and I took them to the restaurant and said to the waitress: "you deserve these flowers and the apologies on those cards, not me...
If u want to throw them to the garbage, it is up to you.., but I think they would look good enough to be near the main entrance. Also: take this (gave her a white envelope with money)" and I left. EVERYONE working for a living (regardless looks, ethnicity, race, age) deserves our respect and gratitude!
You can tell Celia got an upfront look at abuse before meeting Minnie.
Saying no to a woman is considered abuse by modern women.
Words don’t mean anything anymore.
That's why she was so desperate to keep the new life that she had.
@@jcwarner90 Wait do you think I mean, she was in an abusive relationship or are you saying there are a lot of abusive men in Sugarditch?
@jcwarner90 - you are correct. Johnny & Celia were perfect for each other. She knew what being in previous abusive relationship(s ?) was like & she recognized the signs Minny was displaying. Friends like Celia are the ones you want in your corner if that ever happens to you.
At that time probably his own father. @@karencarter18042
She saw Minney as a friend and equal, she never once treated her horribly and she had such a big heart ❤ Given what Minney went through at home and in public spaces, being at Celia's must have been a breath of fresh air.
I love Jessica Chastain as "Celia." She played her perfectly. Such a beautiful character. ❤
Me too
Definitely her best role for me
shes such a beautful woman and nice too i love her
She really did play that role well
You mean hilly?

What's this called?
Jessica Chastain DESERVED the Oscar that year!! I'm glad she was nominated, but I wish they could've had 2 winners that year cause Octavia deserved the award as well 😊. The two of them made movie magic together!!
They both have Oscars now. I read Jessica and Octavia are still good friends and advise each other on roles.
@@TheNY301 yup! I love this so much! It all worked out wonderfully!
Omg I have seen this film dozens of times and NEVER realised it was her! She plays it sooooooo well!
@@hollyjlrs hahah! It's crazy right? She REALLY transformed! She did the same thing for "The eyes of tamy faye" which she won the Academy award for best actress.
i honestly think every actress in that movie deserved a big award!
Take notes. Even when life still breaks you down, be nice, be the nicest you can be. People will always find a reason to hate you. I love the fact that Minnie was there for Celia and Celia was there for Minnie
I've had my share of troubles but I've never been mean to anyone on purpose! Good advice! ❤
The actor who played hilly has such a range of acting, she’s very convincing as an actor.
That role was played by Bryce Dallas Howard. This movie was the first time I'd ever seen or heard of her, and immediately disliked her! LOL
Later, after finding out that she is Ron Howard's daughter, then seeing her in a couple of the more recent Jurassic Park movies, I found out that I actually liked her.
@m.service5584 she is related to an Uber famous actor and director lolz. Also she was PHENOMENAL as the lead in M.night's film "The Village". That's when I first took notice of her talents.
Twilight Eclipse is where I first heard of her. Also The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond with Chris Evans.
I liked her in Jurassic Park
The first time I saw Bryce Dallas. Howard was in The Village. An oddball movie, but, she was good, but nothing to write home about. I've seen her in a few other movies, but, boy howdy, does she nail the part of Hilly.
The movie is called “The Help” please like 👍

Finally someone said it!
Thank you
THANK YOUU.

THANK YOU SO MUCH
Johnny dodged a nuke 😂
oh that yes.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Wait did he cheated on his wife with his ex?
@@bellakhiangte2301no he didn’t, Hilly dated Johnny in college but Johnny and Hilly broke up then Johnny dated Celia, and Hilly dated William. There was no cheating, Hilly was just crazy jealous
@@bellakhiangte2301 no. Hilly assumed that when she was dating him, he cheater on her with Celia and she went around town having the women at bridge talking about her and calling her white trash. Even though Hilly is married with a kid, she's not over it. Celia thinks maybe he cheated with somebody else before he married her, but we'll never know. We just know that Celia wasn't a sidepiece and Hilly is a brat that likes to lie
Ive practically watched this whole movie through shorts 😂😂

Just finished this movie. I’m 52 and I had a nanny named Frankie that raised me in the 70’s that I’ve been trying to find since my parents told me she “went on vacation”. Back then. I’ve never stopped searching though tbh. Been in therapy my whole life. She was my mom …
Sorry for you
I understand
Hope u find her one day
She's probably dead now, sorry
What a statement to make.
This actress is phenomenal. She understood her character so deeply and executed her acting well

The Help. And hilly's mom was played by Sissy Spacek. She's in a lot of old movies. Growing up I enjoyed her in Cole Miner's Daughter and Trading Moms.
This was a once in a billion chances of a perfect storm. Great characters, amazing actors, a wonderful story and full of emotion. Plus, some added twists and turns that had me crying with laughter.
Its the best movie since fried green tomatoes, and the color purple.
It really didn't get the following it deserved. It was such a beautiful period piece and was amazing!
AND ... Steel Magnolias.
You have just named 3 of my favorite films !
I have watched them all so many times.

I'm a big fan of Octavia Spencer. She's fantastic in every role.

Celia was a lovely character...the only thing she wanted was acceptance, and she found it in Minnie
Great movie
Their bond was precious. They saved each other

Hello! I just want to ask....Where have you watched this film?
@@gracediaz8952 is on hulu and Disney+ right now
I wish people realized that this was not a typical friendship. She was her employer.
Yes she was, and Minnie understood that, hence her apprehension. However Celia, simple woman that she is, really just saw Minnie as a friend
Celia is an actual angel, so pure. My favorite character from the movie 🥹
Hay what is this movie called plz x
Sissy Spacek is from Texas and her accent is perfect. She was great in the Coal Miner's Daughter movie about Loretta Lynn.
I loved that movie! It reminded me of growing up in the country in wayyy Upstate NY.
That was my younger sister's fav movie years ago. She was obsessed lol
Sissy had that Appalachian accent down pat too
I loved the movie so much. That WAS a long time ago, huh?
What is the name of this movie

Hilly's a fool if she really thought Celia was trying to be mean to her. And what business is it of hers what her ex-boyfriend is doing with whomever he's married to? She has a whole husband and a toddler, and she still bitter? For what?
Can you believe that some people are like this in real life. What a toxic mess, and I'm not with it. Rather, it's in a movie or real life.
@@Confessions089 right? And even when we're living in a new age where women are supposed to be uplifting each other with their pride and joy, they're still tripping over nothing. I'm a guy, and would rather see that than any Hilly of the world
No, no, the scene isn't about that. Celia (blonde) thinks Hilly is upset with her because she married Hilly's ex, Johnny. In reality, Hilly is pissed because the pie she won is Minny's. Earlier in the movie, Minny was employed by Hilly and in revenge for Hilly's racist abuse, Minny gave her a pie made from her shit. Obviously, this secret is hugely scandalous, disgusting, and embarrassing for Hilly. So now, in this scene, Minny is Celia's maid and Hilly thinks Celia is mocking her for eat the shit pie.
@@joosoo I already know about that. But in the beginning of the movie, Hilly showed signs of being shady long before Celia moved to town, married Johnny, even before that pie mess. Hilly was just being spiteful for nothing, while she got a whole husband at home she can worry about
@@rogueryder3285Hilly is one of those people who peaked in high school and spends the rest of their life trying to maintain that old status. Add racism and classism to that kind of personality, and that’s how you get a deeply insecure woman who has sycophants rather than true friends, is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend despite being married with kids, and does things like marking toilet paper and telling everyone how their homes should be run in an attempt to hang on to any power she can get in her life.
Celia was just a good woman. Her heart was in the right place - she just wanted to love and be loved. I'm glad she found a friend in Minnie, who was also a phenomenal woman.
Celia was such a sweetheart. Her and minny were so good to each other.
Celia is so sweet and innocent and yet so strong, just love her.
They're so fucking cute!
Everyone needs friends like this
Hairstyles and hair colors do wonders! It's funny how people mistake Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallace-Howard with each other but are totally different here in the movie.
Sissy spacek so funny for that 😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
There were so many dynamics going on in this movie. It’s a classic and I never tire of seeing it. The acting was wonderful…
Celia character was the sweetest and truthful of all characters, she had knew how to put limits and boundaries. Love this character..actually, thanks to one of this short I decided to watch this movie
Celica is my favorite in this movie. She is so kind, beautiful, and sweet. I would love to be her friend

Johnny wouldn't cheat on purpose, but he might not be able to tell them apart.
They did such a good job with this movie, it almost feels real ! They created a whole universe where it feels like this should’ve been a series of films. Telling each main characters back story . This movie is several years old and still has a quality of just being released . Everyone deserved every award they received!
celia was my favorite throughout the movie she was always kind to everyone
I love Sissy Spacek in this movie. She is hilarious
She cared for Minny ❤
Jessica is an incredible actress. Pretty versatile and I've seen almost all her movies. Let me tell you that she GETS into character that's for sure
I love how they both take care of each other
Celia and Minny are great friends and learn from each other.
Since she played with Tom Hardy in another movie im one of her biggest fan! She has so much talent class and she is very beautiful !
You have no idea how many times I have gotten this song stuck in my head. Even singing it out loud
😂😂😂😂😂
One thing I can respect about Jessica Chastin. She was a woman in the industry that stood on her square. She was willing to stand up for Octavia Spencer to give her equal pay.
Such great acting in this film, Celia's character was so sublime!
They are both such brilliant actresses!
You are who you are and what YOU ARE shows by what you do and how you act
I got goosebumps when Celia said “I’d give it right back to him, I’d hit him over the head with a skillet” she was so powerful when she said that 💕
I Love Celia She Was So Kind And Compassionate 👍👍👍🕊️🙏🕊️🙏
Miss Celia is amazing. She loved Minnie like a sister.
I fell in love with Octavia, Jessica, and Viola after this movie. So many amazing women in this movie. Sissy Spacek, Allison Janney, Bryce Dallas Howard, Cecily Tyson, Mary Steenburgen, Emma Stone.
Okay but this movie has an INCREDIBLE casting. All of them did such a great job.
They treated Jessica like a dumb blonde but she was a kind hearted soul who had the last laugh. She won the battle ❤❤
Why do these shorts have this same background music like someone’s gonna kill someone any moment 😅😂
To avoid copyright. Still annoying as hell though
This movie has soooooo many good moments and sooooooo many good actresses!!!!
Her southern accent is so good
We should all be so fortunate to have a boss who sincerely cares about you the way Celia cares about Minny. We all deserve that.
Sissy Spacek: “Oh, sh!t”😂👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
the cutest friendship in a movie ever. they needed each other so badly
The more shorts I see, the more I need to see this whole movie.
Only thing though... Grinds my gears when someone tells you what "they would have done" 😅 to someone whos being abused.... As someone whos been assaulted..... Is large and strong.... Ie perfectly capable of "giving it right back"
You have no right to tell someone what you, as a clear minded person, would do to someone who at the time of the event was traumatized or in survival mode.
I love Celia.... But when my friends say shit like "you know what i would do? Kick his ass!" It paints me as a person who just simply dumb or incapable.
Minny is incredibly capable and smart...😅
Respectfully we do all know that celia is big hearted and a little simple... Ao its fine... But like dont tell people what you would have done.
She’s trying to make her feel seen , she’s not being literal
I directed Jessica in a theater production in Sacramento when she was 17. It's so strange when people you used to know end up this famous. She looks so much taller on screen than the person I remember.
I’ve been getting so many Celia shorts and I’m honestly so here for it. She was one of the best characters in The Help. Every moment she was on screen was touching.
i strive to be as kind and sweet as Celia
Seeing Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard in a movie together gets me confused😅 but I love them both, great actresses
One of my favorite movies of all time! All the acting was superb!
I've watched this like 6 times just for Sissy Spacek's delivery of that line. lol
Celia was wonderful in this role as well. I agree, she was absolutely right when she told Minnie what to do with her husband 👍🏽😐
I know everyone keeps talking about amazing performances by Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer and yes they were amazing and deserve all the praise, but Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard were just as great. I love this movie.
She is WONDERFUL!❤🎉
Love all of Celia's outfits..
Miss Celia knows damn well that she has 0 courage to say all that the reason why Celia got so angry is cuz she cared for minnie and it made her burst with rage seeing her hurt
I never thought about this, but the story ends with minnie leaving her husband with her kids and miss celia knows about the abuse and wants kids. I think she would definitely agree to help them with their giant house while they look for another place to live. Not only that, but theyd probably just let them build their own lil house on the side XD
she ate with this role
Minny is an example of what a lot of our grandmother went thru back then. And most were stuck, because they had kids and couldn't financially leave. Women couldnt even have their own bank accounts. And thats why so many of our aunts & grandmothers instilled into the girls in the family of always having your own, and getting an education, so that we could do better than they did, and wouldn't have to take the abuse from any man.
"At least not with me! 😀"
I love Jessica Chastain in the movie and all of her movies! This may be my favorite! So adorable ❤
She fed her her literal shit. I don’t envy that “friendship”
She fed Hilly shit, I don't know where you got the idea that Celia ate the shit, considering Celia even made a pie comment
People is self hating is jealous of shadow workers . That's why they get beat up in life , but the shadow workers come out stronger. They survived the uncomfortable and worked hard to get out of the uncomfortable.
We need more movie like THAT!!!
Literally why is everyone so mean to her. She's so sweet.

“The Help” was one of my favorite books and the movie did it justice. Will never forget the chocolate mud pie incident.
Minny is a great actor ❤ she did here thang ..... the strength that black women held and hold is still amazing... want a real one get you a black girl friend
These two my most favorite. All great actors.
I’d rather believe that Johnny broke up with Hilly not because he cheated, but because Hilly is a rotten apple. Hilly believes that Johnny cheated on her because she’s a narcissist.
No one said anything about the nails on the face bringing her back to look at Celia 🤣that part took me out and the Johnny never cheated on you, at least not with me too 🤣🤣
Jessica Chastain did an awesome job in this role ❤️..shes just so sweet
The fact that she's married to him and still wanted to calm Hilly's (stupid, past due) fears that Johnny was messing around is just so holy and sweet. Celia gang for life. I love this book and this movie ❤️
