polymorphism is not a type of faith, it's a characteristic (having multiple forms), while the type of faith for worshipping polymorphic god depends on how you worship, if you worship directly to the supreme god without worshipping the multiple forms, then it's henotheism (worship one god while accepting its multiple forms), if you worship the multiple forms, then it's polytheism (worshipping more than one god or form of god)

Hinduism is more of a common culture rather than a strict religion. The term Hindu is a geographical indicator of people living near Indus Valley rather than a religion. Concept of Dharm is defined more like a moral duty that should be practiced by a person. Any person who do their duty is Dharmic so anyone in the world can be considered Dharmic. This is why you can’t interpret Hinduism as a religion. It is called Sanatan Dharm or the eternal law. Modern interpretation rose when invaders actively started conversion of people of India to Muslim religion and was created as a reaction to preserve the ancient ways. Yes, they worship idols ( or different gods as Westerners and Muslim likes to say) but these forms are various manifestations of one supreme God who doesn't have a material form . ( you can deny or simply not accept any verse of Veda or Geeta since they are not perfect (not written by supreme being but monks who meditated) and still be a hindu)
When you accept God is unimaginable then why do you imagine him as his creations? Idol is made of sand which is a God's creation just like how he created you. The sand is no way superior than you. Then according to you, you should worship yourself because you are the best creation of God. Also you don't have to imagine everything for you to believe. I think instead of satanism he should have said occultism. It’s much broader. A lot of occultist pagan types might disagree but I believe that New age spirituality, Thelema, Wicca and satanism all center around a similar philosophy of focusing on desire. I see it as an almost Anti-Buddhists philosophy. Desire is basically seen as the most powerful force for change in the universe, focusing on your desires to the point you already believe they’re true or are destined to happen is the best way to create the best life for yourself. @@TrickXxlJesus didn't "preach about one God". He introduced the Kingdom of God on earth, He and the Father are One. He is God. Trinity literally means 3 in 1, which is still one. Three attributes, three persons, one God. Even in the book of Genesis God says "let us make men in OUR image". Jesus also suggests multiple times that He is God revealed in the flesh (John 8:58). No, Jesus was not a Christian. He IS the Christ. Sikhism is better described as pantheistic/panentheistic
Correct, Sikhism is not Henotheistic. The most important message of sikhism denoted by this symbol: ੴ that you may have seen, literally means God is One (Ik Oangkar). Hence Sikhi is more of Pantheism or Monotheism.

Hinduism believes in polymorphism and not polytheism. It believes that there is one true God and he can take various forms so that you can worship the form you feel the most connected to.
polymorphism is not a type of faith, it's a characteristic (having multiple forms), while the type of faith for worshipping polymorphic god depends on how you worship, if you worship directly to the supreme god without worshipping the multiple forms, then it's henotheism (worship one god while accepting its multiple forms), if you worship the multiple forms, then it's polytheism (worshipping more than one god or form of god)

Sanatan Dharma is more universal concept not related to religious expansion

Buddhism may be non-theist. We don't really worry about those classifications. We respect any god from any religion, but we don't depend on them. Buddhism doesn't recognize a God at all ( the creator). "Devas" mentioned in buddhism are supernatural beings that are usually seen as gods, but they don't have any power to control the universe or to create the universe. They represent another species that is subjected to death, karma and samsara like humans, animals and others until they realize Nibbana.
Right😊❤
I agree, I wouldn't class buddhism as pantheistic
Nibbana is the goal

This was really interesting and helped me.
Sikhism is not henothiest but it is Monotheists as the biggest messages sikhs have to follow is IK ONKAR- which means GOD IS ONE
IK ONKAR doesnt mean one god it means the whole cosmos is god but in pleural form ...
la ilaha ilall- WAIT WHA~
@@darkrai98k69It means God is one, and that one is all around us.
Whole cosmos and beyond is God and Whole cosmos is one.
Singularity inside plurality.
Sikhism is more close to Panentheism.
It is definitely not henotheism.
There are always wars going on in the comments when talking about difference religions,
Really the world has fallen so much, i dont know if you believe in god or not but if God is watching us... God will definitely feel disappointed
I never heard of other religion than Sikhism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism
I would like to disagree with the interpretation of Hinduism in this video as I personally believe that it is a Polymorphic-monotheistic religion as we believe in one god, Brahman, and the other gods are avatars, or morphic versions set to be different things and are part of brahman. An example I would say is that think of Brahman as a ocean and the gods as drops of water from the ocean.
You forgot Panentheism
Monotheism gives rise to superiority comples and fanaticism. All other faiths can co-exist in peace especially polytheistic ones.
Sir as I am practicing Sikh . Sikhi only believe in one God and there is only one God no other so Sikhi also falls under monotheism
True monotheism is islam ❤
Alhamdulillah islam ❤❤
I think instead of satanism he should have said occultism. It’s much broader. A lot of occultist pagan types might disagree but I believe that New age spirituality, Thelema, Wicca and satanism all center around a similar philosophy of focusing on desire. I see it as an almost Anti-Buddhists philosophy. Desire is basically seen as the most powerful force for change in the universe, focusing on your desires to the point you already believe they’re true or are destined to happen is the best way to create the best life for yourself. Ik Wiccans also greatly venerate nature but there’s still a lot of focus around desire and manifesting the reality you want.
Wow, interesting
From where we can read about this ?
@@satyamindnectar7052 Aleister Crowley is a big name. He’s a bit of a crazed narcissist but he does have some interesting ideas. I don’t really buy into the metaphysical stuff. He was incredibly ahead of his time he was a yoga loving, mescaline tripping late Victorian era upper class English man. All that stuff goes back to what are basically fraternities like free masions and the hermetic order. Some of his ideas apparently have roots in ancient Judaic magic texts like the Key of Solomon. And of course Hinduism.
@@satyamindnectar7052 Wicca is a bit different. There’s much more earth worship. The Thelemites (Crowley’s religion) is much more self centered. But there’s this common belief of using spirits or your own magic to get what you want or achieve an outcome. Really you could extend that to just about every religion, many Christians believe because they want to get into heaven. Also the way many occultists use the word magic is similar to how Chinese the word Chi.
@@satyamindnectar7052 I wanna add that satanism is a bit different aswell. It’s like a much less metaphysical version of Thelema and is almost monotheistic in their relationship to satan. Not to mention they are inherently tied to Abrahamic religions. They still have similar ritual magic and the same underlying occult philosophy. Occultism is also older than Thelema it’s hard to say where it all started. Just any magic based religion with an emphasis on desire and outcome is occult imo. Voodoo even falls into that category. Symbols like the dagger, wand, chalice and pentagram or pentacle are also all something WIcca, Thelema and satanism all have in common.
@@satyamindnectar7052 phrases like “so above as bellow” and “do what thou wilt” are very occult. Wiccans identify with the phrase “harm none” and that makes them somewhat distinct but they have the same ritual magic and items.
Much greatitud thank you

How is christianity a monotheistic religion ? Before anyone attacks me I'm just asking a genuine question since they beleive in the holy TRINITY
Christianity is a Pagan religion. It was never Monotheistic. Jesus Himself wasnt a Christian. He was a Jew who preached about One God.
Islam and Judaism are only Monotheisc religion in the world
John 14:28 exposes trinity
There is only one God he has 3 persons the Father, the Son and the HolySpirit. The 3 are one. That's why
@@TrickXxlJesus didn't "preach about one God". He introduced the Kingdom of God on earth, He and the Father are One. He is God. He came so that men may have life in abundance, through His death and sacrifice which reconciles us to Himself (which was the only legal solution to our seperation from God, as the earth was given to men, and is still run by men until this day), as His sacrifice abolishes the sin nature of our flesh which seperates us from God, and is activated when we surrender our lives to Him and recognize that He came, died and was resurrected for our sakes.
All those who follow His commands, teachings and ways are considered Christians, as they model their lives after Christ.
I mean originally it should’ve been… but whatever it’s followers do now is not monotheism Judaism or Islam as mentioned above are true form of monotheism
Glad to see that Asatru is known well enough to be named, instead of the ambiguous "pagan" label. Hails to you all!
NerdRobot: You cannot fit Hinduism into one of the categories you just mentioned. It entails ideas that our perception of reality is limited and illusory, that ultimate reality underlies all illusions, that deities are less subtler manifestations of the ultimate reality, that a cherished deity is the one which appeals to or inspires an individual the most or to which an individual relates, and that the cherished deity can be accessed and connected to by a human to attain guidance and a higher state of consciousness/awareness. These ideas align with simulationism, agnosticism, panentheism, animism, polytheism, henotheism and monotheism all at the same time.
What is your religion ?
@@satyamindnectar7052 No religion.
My intuition says Santana Dharma is the truth. But I also believe, perhaps nothing we believe to be true is true. I believe there is something else... something different... may be, may be not
I’m both Christian AND monotheistic!
So you pray to father or jesus or ghoul? Or you are a polytheistic and believe 1:3?
Christan is polytheism
@@QuranInAllLanguage No, trinity doesn’t mean polytheism
@@user-dd1ud1tu2r worshipping 3 distinct entities yet also claiming that they are one is indeed polytheism.
Not to mention venerating saints and asking them for help, which is pure paganism
@@lollius88 No, not at all. It would be polytheism if it was 3 different gods but it has nothing to do with this. We are talking about one God. About the saints, no one worships them as Gods
To that one comment saying Christianity isn’t monotheistic, please, at least try to understand the concept of the Holy Trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not three separate gods, but are instead three separate persons who are one being: God.
From the view point of the one being it is monotheism
But from the view point of Trinity it is Trinatarian not Monotheism
its still slightly confusing, whats the difference between persons and beings?
The internet (which you are using btw) is free. Look up the actual theology of Trinity and saints. Please and thank you (dorected and others, not op)
@@veqf so let's say, you have the person of a wife, a mother, and a friend, are you not still one being? Yes. You just reveal yourself in different ways and serve different roles.
Or let's take an egg for example: you have the shell, the eggwhite and the eggyolk. Would it be a complete egg without one or the other attributes? It is still one egg, but different elements to it.
These are just ways to try to understand the concept of the trinity of God, but our human understanding will never be truly able to grasp the beauty, complexion, yet simplicity of it.
You are totally right. Before talking about the trinity, understand the trinity and if you don't know, shut up and do your research.
I think its important to understand that most of these are features and can be found in varying degrees together in the same religion or in various interpretations of the same religion. I am a celtic pagan I am polytheistic and animistic but also Henotheism is not beyond the scope of my belief system though I personally don't believe in it. Also I think Henotheism is kind of being conflated with Monolatry what they are saying is more monolatry Henotheist could worship multiple Gods as long as they acknowledge a head or supreme god primarily and center their worship around that supreme god. A polytheist may believe in a higher or supreme god but not see a requirement to center their worship around it where a Henotheist would.
God is not on numbers, He is infinite and united, omnipotent and omnipresent. We know him as manifestation of flesh in history as JESUS ❤… Lord of lords God of gods and King of Kings…
highly honored to call myself a MONOTHEIST ☝🏼
That's make you xenophobic
@@saileshray9840 not xenophobic my brother . The matter of fact is that most of the people follow religions that their parents and culture promote not what they comprehend In Islam only the one who rejects the true message will abide in hell.. So having a superiority complex over people who don't know what they are following is kind off justified in my point of view
I wish god guide you to the right path

All religions are connected, but connected in a more vertical manner. This also means that every religion is true, but some are more true than others. True in the sense of how it reveals reality to us and on how it reveals the God of all gods to us.
Hinduism is actually athism with the options of gods .

Many sects of Hinduism follow Monotheism. Hinduism can be interpreted thru multiple possible ways.
Bro worship of single dety is not monotheistic believe. You have to only in one God. Worship is matter of fact
@@rayyanali6561Brother if we go by the definition of monotheism by Britannica, then its the belief in one God. Hindu scriptures Vedas describe God as one. Vedas of Hinduism are older than Qur'an & Bible, that means Hinduism proclaimed oneness of God much earlier than Abrahamic traditions did. This I'm not saying out of faith, but out of neutral facts which can be easily cross-checked!
@@virferind7946 brother if you go with vedas then no problem because it is clearly written in rig ved that God is one and formless and it is also written God has no idols then why do you guys do idolatry????? 😕
@@rayyanali6561 Hinduism is not a strictly book bound religion brother. There are many unrelated & diverse sects in Hinduism. Hindu faith is universal & all inclusive, it takes in everyone within its fold without any conditions, that's the greatness of Hinduism, this religion can connect people without conversion!
Not all sects worship idols. Arya Samaj doesn't do it, Hare Krishna & Swaminarayan does it. Its for the ease of worship. Its easy for some people to worship God if they can see & perceive Him. Most people worship God thru idols, for them idols are just symbols. While some other people believe in the concept of idols being the vessel for God to reside in. But it any case Hinduism teaches a devotee to feel God beyond idols. To worship God in form or without any form, through idols or without any idols are the personal choices, which are the product of freewill given to us by the God Himself. Had He wanted us to worship Him without symbols He wouldn't have given us freewill or he would have ingrained idolless monotheism into our brains naturally, but that's not the case, both you & I know that! So we're free to choose the way of worship according to our spiritual orientation & inclination of worship.
@@rayyanali6561 Whether to pray through idols or not is a matter of personal choice. For some people it is easier to worship God if they could see Him physically in some form. Hinduism is not a strictly book bound religion. Some sects do worship thru idols others don't do it. But in any case Hinduism tells to see God beyond the symbolic idols. Hinduism values God gifted freewill. Had God wanted us all to follow formless monotheism He wouldn't have given us freewill.
