One more question. On the e series wood sliding door with a fixed panel, is the head jam screwed into the header through the wood at the top or is the door fixed to the sheathing using just the the door flanges ?
At Shepley we recommend the same installation practices with A series and the E series. Because the E series slider has the vinyl drip cap that is part of the head flange, we recommend sealing it down before exterior trim is applied. And as always back caulking the top inside corners.
