I'm probably effed up in the head for hoping this "race war" stuff happens somehow again because I believe this to be some of the most impactful type of lore, it's just so gut-wrenching and I can see it work very well with ZZZ.
I don't think you're messed up in the head for wanting a good story. Having this sort of war and conflict in the game parallels real life. It's just good writing
