You can get a rare item if you one-shot that mimic.
Put some smokepowder barrels around it and detonate them.

I believe the rare item is the amulet good for spell caster build

How did Squire end up here? Isn't he normally at the top of the tower with Ketheric?

You have to lock pick the door entrance via balthazar balcony room

Yeah this is patch 4 and I think so too, being playing this game since game come out and I didn't realise there's an option to show scratch ball to squire hahaha

Is that a mod that makes Scratch more usable or did I miss something that upgrades him?

Yeap mod call " scratch and shovel" give them additional stats
