He was notoriously bad frame wise up until maybe t6, and his d3,4 wasn't a natural combo until TTT2. So for him being in the game since T3, he was historically lower in rankings than he was higher on it.
@@LooneyBlade113He was a mid tier. It was hard to approach due to good old movement and close range characters are Steve, Heihachi, Nina and etc.(literally A-S tier characters). + He didn't had his T7 qcf3, ff4, safe JFSR and other staple to his neutral moves.
@@LooneyBlade113 I mained Hwo in T6 and he SUCKED. He no good tools to poke in the mid range in T6. His flamingo pressure is a gimmick at best because he had holes EVERYWHERE. Any character with a decent hopkick would just Yolo it and either launch Hwo or trade at worst. And if he tried to turtle like he did in T5, he couldn't! All his launchers were nerfed and he his whiff punish was absolutely trash in T6. Worst of all, Hwo required alot of execution for even his most basic of combos. Meaning if you are playing in lag, you are dropping your combos.
Hey! How about breakdown Baek Doo San in Tekken 5, DR, 6 and Tag 2? Such underrated character. He is not been in high tier in tekken history, but have cool animations, decent wall travel with flamingo cancel and Mishima wavedash.
That wall combo go brrrr. As a sidenote, it has recently become possible to emulate the original Tekken 6.0 which is really awesome to see. I’m not sure how accessible it is currently but it is finally possible.
If you think this is atrocious, his wall damage was even dirtier in vanilla, especially against large characters. Back then the RFF 3~4~f recovered faster, so you could RFF 3~4~f RFS 2,4,3 B! which is only possible in BR for normal sized if you launch them high at the wall (LFF b+3, LFS u/f+4, etc). It only got worse if you were someone like Jack or Marduk because the staple ender was RFF 3~4~f RFS 2,4,3 B! RFF 3~4~f RFS 2,4,4 a combo that you'd only imagine to be vs bears. BR nerfed his damage but improved other tools (LFF 4,4,3, LFS d/b+3, RFS d/b+4, u/f+3+4,4 while the second hit was still only -9).
this man's a dlc character
dlc damage lol
Skyrocket hits the middle be like "HoLy SweEt JeSus Hwoarang jUst SenT ME fLyinG"
Lmao, you should have shown of rfs d4,3 into lfs d3,4. There's a reason every noob hated hwoarang in t6 even if he was mid tier at best.
sorry I didn't know about that
Hwo has never been mid tier. What are you smoking?

Still struggling to do just frame skyrocket 😢

wait what i didnt see 6.0 emulated yet
It has been done. There are a few videos showing it off.
I see
Indeed. Hoping that people will one day make breakdowns of 6.0 in the future. It has a lot of interesting stuff.
The high damage is because of rage and counter hit
Why does T6 look way more better than T7
From what i know tekken 7 had a low budget and the reason for that was TTT2's sales.
@@metallicwill5231 that explains some things i guess
how it decrease though? I thought PS4 has better resolution and it was supposed to be a giant leap compared to PS3
Facts.
Who was more damaging? Jack, Paul or Hworang?
Great video ❤
I went from trying to learn combos in tekken and when I picked up hwoarang it turned into button mashing for free wins simulator for me
and in tekken 7 they took away alot of his extensions? why ?
I still don't get his wall enders in tekken 6
they are a bit strict but are consistent
Yo how much did rage boost dmg by? Holy armor king EXPLODED
136 damage combo was 180 damage with rage
@@mwkan772 they werent kidding when it was RAGE
indeed
@@mwkan772tekken 6 rage is something else
It's official! I'm gonna be a Hwoarang main from now on!
haha I see
what console is this ? can i play it on pc ? the graphics is nice
I play tekken 6 online hwoarang , just using d34 😂, that enough to fight a green rank
That's just ridiculous lol!! 🤣🤣🤣
indeed
Backlash in its prime
In tekken 7 backlash in its prime too. + on block armor launcher
@@Mironderrrits my favorite in tekken 7
his wall damage is stupidly brutal btw
The dmg is crazy lmfao
indeed
nah, every tekken 1 character tho
haha I see
Why is "complete throw game" even a point here when before Tekken 7 EVERY character had a complete throw game?
3:43 fair
and balanced
You play Tekken 7 on PSN?
not anymore
used to play in 2017-2020
When you say most absurd combo damage in "Tekken history", you're excluding Tekkens 1 and 2, right?
