Firstly, in the video they way the law is described makes it sound like using ANY coins in a transaction is not allowed, when really the law just specifies that paying with too many coins is a no-go. Secondly, you are 100% allowed to try to pay for something with however many coins you want regardless of the total owed. The law just lets vendors refuse to accept payment if there's way too many coins. (This law I think was written in response to a viral story of a guy paying for his thousands of dollars of mechanic fees with a literal wheelbarrow of pennies (back when Canada still HAD pennies))
as a singaporean, i feel the need to correct u. cause in singapore, u are allowed to chew gum but u cant bring more than 2 packs of it per person. also, the illegal part of this is that u cant buy or sell gum in the country. u can always bring ur own but u just cant sell or buy within Singaporean borders if u dont believe me, look it up
