He’s a pretty unlucky guy tbh. When they had their players healthy, they played well and motivated. The string of injuries they’ve had the last few years there is actually insane. Wish the guy well. He will do better again somewhere.

@@shawnbopko858 DEI HIRE, The get compulsory picks for that. in all fairness being from Chicago, The BEARS knew the plan of development and changing the culture of the players, fans wanted everyone fired because they ignorant, the locker room bought into it and stuck with the pains of such until the talent level was raised. having said that , you ONLY fire an HC when the culture is bad and the locker room is broken. The never compromised wins for development. and here we are today,,, 3rd year in their rebuild. they understood embraced the development plan.

I wonder if Saleh knew that he was the most expendable of the coaches and staff mid-season??? Because of Ulbrich, it turned out that losing Saleh doesn't hurt the Jets...even though the problem is the offense, specifically Hackett and Rodgers.
Even as Lions fan I always respected Rodgers as a worthy opponent and as a person. But now I think he's a jerk. Screw him.

I was kind of surprised by it. They are still in the hunt for the division now I think it’s buffaloes division to lose, but that’s not saying much. Patriots are awful. The Dolphins are underachieving and the Jets are dysfunctional and I am a Miami Dolphins fan and I’m saying this It’s just the reality.
As far as the AFC goes every division champion will likely repeat, only question is seeding and the wildcards

As a Jets fan, there is no accountability. That starts with the coach, he doesn't want to hurt feelings because he knows his attitude. But you dealing with grown men and guys who would run thru a wall for you. Them quotes ain't gonna stick if nothing is changing. Also the way we deal with refs some games, you just want to see him let these refs have it like Rex would but he never did

Wrong narrative. The job description is coach the entire team. To address and fix all issues on both sides of the ball. Not just defense. He had 3.5 years to fix that. He didn’t. It’s just that simple.

He was fired for game time decisions. Went for on 4th and 2 when it was a chip shot field goal. Has made bad choices as a head coach in game. His defense was not the problem

Kyle is wrong. He wasn't hired simply to build a great defense. If that's what we wanted, we would have simply gone after him as a DC. It's about the culture. It's about a soft culture. It's about raising expectations and holding people accountable. Saleh wasn't doing any of that. And yes, Hackett needs to go as well. But lets not pretend Saleh wasn't a problem. Saleh was a horrible game day coach. He just stood there and did nothing.
Where Rogers is, drama will be. Especially now at 40. The Jets made another bad decision in taking Rogers just the way they took Farve. Both great in their time, HOL QB’s, but past their prime. I’m glad I’m not in with the Jets because I’d be way too upset.

Sometimes you can't teach old dog new tricks or the old dog doesn't want to know new tricks. Aaron Rodgers likes his old wide receivers. Cause he doesn't want spend to time working with new people. And the style of play is outdated. He doesn't want to take the time to want know a new one. The Jets really screwed up trading for him. He got his championship and his money. And knows the hall of fame there when he retired.

Going to the playoffs to then lose immediately without any chance whatsoever - if that's your goal then sure, that might be attainable for the Jets in a Super Wildcard era.

if the Ownership does not pull the plug on HC Salah now, next week @PIT is a short week. so if you wait until after @PIT, the Jets could be at 2-5 when they face a coaching change. its done now or not at all as the season could be over at 2-5.
the same inept Jets O was the same from last year, except for a late W2 drive and W3 game. W4 the Jets looked like the team on a short week and DEN the team with 10 days to prepare. W5 the offense didn't look much better. this is a far cry from the team that was only missing a QB for success and this falls on the coaching.
as a DC, Ulbrich and his assistant/positional coaching staff have even the backups knowing what their roles are and how to perform at a high level within their roles. please compare the performances of PS elevated CBs Hayes & James vs PHI (W6 2023) to the performance of #84 TE Bates in LON. (i did not use CB Echols as an example as he's been in the system for 4 years). i want IHC Ulbrich to install that same standard of performance, and expectation of such standard (if you didn't want to use the word accountability) into the offensive side of the ball.
Hopefully, IHC Ulbrich can get the O coached up to where they look just average, and by the end of the season, get the afterburners going to harness the great potential that this Jets offense possesses. getting everyone on the same page with the cadence would be a good start. would reducing the number of scripted plays so that everyone would be better equipped to perform well in a game situation help? a fresh look at game planning? i dunno but it had to change while there was still a way to salvage the season.
