Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, I always copy pasted from excel but I dont know why on a specific file I had when I printed on PDF the letters were so small, and I didnt know how to change it.... so your method saved me.
would like to see more examples . is it possible to extract fields ? i know you can do it with attributes . maybe i can use fields into attribute blocks then create a table? would love to hear your side..thanks !
How can we do this but instead have the information that was input into excel directly be inputted into its respective field in the title block in the paper space ?
Hey Brandon, (Or anybody else) can you help me edit the distance between double line? All the youtube videos are 3 and 4 years old and don't seem to apply and I'm running AutoCad 2021. THANKS!
Hey, Thanks for the question. I'm not completely sure which double line you looking to change the distance between. Did you mean a double line, linetype? If so you'd want to look for a video on modifying linetypes or creating a new one. I have one or two on my channel but I don't think I've done one on double line linetypes unfortunately.
I am trying to link an excel structure data table. Does the link automaticly update when you open the drawing? Mine does not for some reason. I want to be able to batch plot from the Sheet Set knowing that I have the up to date table without having to go into the sheet to re sync the sheet before I plot it. What am I doing wrong?
Dear, when I add a new row, in excel and do de modifications (same font), in Autocad the dimension of the new cell and the formatting text are differents...how can I solv this problem? thank you
You should be able to modify the table style to rove lines, if you just need a block/paragraph of text linked you can try Rtext, I have a video on the channel showing its use too here: th-cam.com/video/eY4q2BuP17M/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching And the question! Cheers
just curious...WHY do so many CAD-folks on YT wearing baseball caps? :-) Seriously! Long-time CAD-guy in FL here (since '82 on MicroStation then!) who has NEVER worked in any offices that needed them worn. Guess we knew how to design our lighting, huh? haaaaa To me, it does NOT look "cool", nor is it it Functional in FL, where a SOMBRERO is more-appropriate in Summer! Guess Canadian CAD-folks need hats to...stay warm waaay-up-there?? ))) Spill the beans, please, Brandon. Stay COOL, y'all !!
Hi Jason, Thank you for the comment and watching. Unfortunately Data links won't work with a word file, they can only link to excel and .csv files since they're tied to tables in AutoCAd primarily. But you could add notes to a table depending on your need. I think you would probably want to use something like Rtext or an xref for your notes. I did a video on a way to link AutoCAD text to a notepad file (.txt) which should be exactly what you're looking for. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/eY4q2BuP17M/w-d-xo.html Hope that helps and thanks again for watching! Cheers
Linked tables have to be the buggiest AutoCAD tool in history. Its impossible to get the format right on import and if you format after import, then change the data, the format completely reverts. I find it best to create attributed blocks that mimic tables. That way they only have one format available, the right format.

I always copy the table in excel, then I use the "pastespec" command to bring my table into AutoCAD. It links the table dynamically.
This was really helpful. I was about to break something out of frustration before watching this because AutoCAD kept crashing.
Thank so much guy, It's worth to watch your video. Congratulations for your intention!
Hi from Tunisia !

How to adjust the size of the table , and how to use the same table properties to other autocad data.
How can we do this but instead have the information that was input into excel directly be inputted into its respective field in the title block in the paper space ?

Why excel file is not appearing in print??How to resolve this issue
