Cruising Trent Severn Waterway - Chapter Two

  • I've produced four chapters from my 'Cruising The Trent Severn Waterway' production that was originally released in 2015 as a 72 minute long DVD/Blu ray combo package. The full presentation takes viewers from 'Mile Zero' at Trenton on Lake Ontario, through the entire 240 miles/386 km right up to Lock #45 at Port Severn where the system meets Georgian Bay/Lake Huron. Best part is that a good deal was filmed right from our boat as we cruised the area aboard our Sea Ray 400 Sedan Bridge. Most of the footage was taken in 2014, with an update of Trent Port Marina at Trenton, captured in 2019 (Chapter One).
    At the time, the disks were available for sale online, but due to the DVD/Disc format quickly losing appeal, they were no longer in demand and sales were discontinued . . .
    However, rather than keep the video on the shelf, so to speak, I'm making it available for you here!
    Given its long run time, I've broken it up into four chapters, with this being Chapter Two. This portion takes the viewer from Lock #6 at Frankford, northward through the Trent River to Campbellford, Hastings, crossing Rice Lake and up the picturesque Otonabee River to Peterborough.
    There was a considerable amount of time invested into the production and it's my hope that everyone will enjoy the insights, lovely scenery and as always, inspiration!
    Subsequent chapters will be released each Sunday 😊
    Location is on Ontario, Canada's lovely 240 mile/386 km Trent Severn Waterway.
    Over the past number of years of cruising this lovely waterway, I've produced well over 200 other videos from our wonderful visits, which you can find in this ever expanding playlist here; • Trent Severn Waterway ...

    I gotta tell ya....I may not be Siskel OR Ebert but I'd give this series two thumbs up!👍👍 As a matter of fact, I don't know why Ontario Tourism didn't promote this for their own benefit! VERY impressive Paul! Thanks for sharing it with us!!

    Hello Paul, I am Very Happy that your back to your Chanel. I always enjoy watching your adventure with anchor girl, Keep up the good work! May I ask whats the cost or gas for that ride in total?

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo

      Happy to be back.
      As for fuel costs on this particular voyage, I can't say. This was captured in 2014, aboard our then 400 Sedan Bridge. Different boat, different fuel prices. . .
      That said, I will be giving a total rundown of our most recent voyage that took us to Trenton, the Rideau Canal and back home to Lake Simcoe, done in 2022. If you are following my *new* cruising videos that come out each Thursday, I'll be posting all those numbers,including distance travelled, fuel used/cost, etc. at the end of the series.
      I'll look forward to hearing from you then!
      Cheers, Paul.

      As always, you're most welcome. Would love to see some new videos of your boating adventures on your channel if you get a chance. I believe you got a 'new' Sundancer, so there's always lots of opportunity to inspire others (especially me) with some clips of that ship 👍👍👍

    Nice. Newbie here, picked up a 3255 bayliner last year, I'm at lefroy. So, 1st trip, go north or go south for a weekend?

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Both would be good options, but if you only have a weekend (Friday - Sunday), heading north your only options for overnighting would be Locks 42 or 43 and if it's busy, you might be hard pressed to get a spot to tie up for the night unless you're there early on Friday - before 3:00 at least. If heading east, you have more options to tie up for the night, as there's a number of locks in rapid succession - but again, no guarantee of getting a spot. It's gonna be a coin toss either way, but both would be an adventure!

    • @farleyschapira5351
      @farleyschapira5351 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BoatingWithBoogaboo Hmm, no power at either 42 or 43. Oh well, we'll figure it out. Thanks.

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  ปีที่แล้ว

      The only locks that have power are Fenelon Falls, Bobcaygeon, Buckhorn, Lakefield and Frankford. Problem with them is that, because they offer shorepower, they are generally quite busy, with no guarantee one would be able to take advantage of it. . .

    Your Lock assistant needs a life jacket.. Bad example!
