Thurman Merman I guess he's speaking from a cultured perspective. Not trying to sound like a snob here, but mostly uneducated people are the ones that speak during a movie. There's a big difference between a reaction and a spoken word. By gasping in awe, or laughing out loud, or screaming in fear, one is commumicating, yes, but not speaking. Only plebs do that. It's ok to be a pleb, but it's not ok to speak during a movie (like all those people at the Black Panther screenings).

I really like what he had to say about people using movies as a relief. I think that's why blockbusters are under appreciated in some ways.
