- Minecraft Speedrunner VS TITAN. You asked for it. The return of Minecraft Manhunt, for a season 2. This is the first episode of many.

We decided to call this series Minecraft Manhunt 2: TITAN TAKEDOWN. This video is a different rendition of it, where there is a massive, near invincible TITAN, being controlled by a real life human projected into the game using our custom fusion technology, instead of multiple hunters. This is the toughest challenge I have faced yet. I'm excited to see how this goes over the coming months.
This is a new Minecraft but, 1.21 challenge that we have decided to try. I try to beat the game, while my anonymous friend tries everything he can to stop me. This is all custom coded by us.
The TITAN theme music is custom scored by Dream & PmBata. Will hopefully be custom sound tracking all the future videos so anyone can feel free to react! (this has two non-custom songs in it, but not during the hunt)
If this video somehow gets 1,000,000 likes we'll announce the date of the next episode early.
Not Minecraft, But Water Rises or Minecraft, But Lava Rises, or any other but challenge like that. This is a speed run / speed runner of Minecraft against a killer / assassin

I actually love the switch. Instead of adding more hunters, now there will be added more speed runners. It will be interesting seeing Dream work together with the other to win a Manhunt

Coz titan can only focus one at a time, it becomes very easy with 2 hunters
I like it as a very limited series, but I feel like it is missing the charm that the original Manhunt had. There was a lot of back and forth between the speed runner and hunter, and the possibility for traps. It was also something anyone could do with their friends without some insane, high tech setup.
@@praveenisepicmaybe. It depends on if they are allowed to respawn. But the titan is so OP so I think it will be hard to get items even with more people.

I guess he also didn't talk very much because the hunters could hear him, so it wasn't a smart idea to say your plans out loud. But he was using a voice mod, so it was ok this time (like in the cave, he said that the titan couldn't hear hime cause of the blocks)

Gotta be honest, this felt more like a showcase than anything, although I understand that given the mechanics there was really no way for you to win, so I'm basically gonna treat this as a trailer. The mechanic is really cool.
I mean there has to be some circumstances in order to make this actually beatable for the speedrunner, so they might do some rules than the original manhunt at this point

the fact that the titan can literally grab players, throw them and even kick them MIDAIR just goes to show how smooth and well made this mod is. What's even more baffling is the titan's ability to break large chunks of blocks and just throw them. Cant WAIT too see how better this mod will become in the near future.

Okay Dream, idea for an A.O.T. style manhunt: In the series of Attack on Titan, nobody knew who the Titan Shifter was. To make this applicable in Minecraft Manhunt, all the players should spawn in, but one of them is secretly the Titan Shifter. There's a time limit on both how long the player can be in Titan Form, as well as a cool down timer before they can use their titan ability again. Players can only respawn a finite number of times (example: 3 lives). The goal of the non-titan players is to either kill the Ender Dragon or kill the Titan until their lives run out.
To make it so that the Titan Shifter can't just run away and hide until the end, the compass should work on all players.
You could also force the player to transform once their health drops low enough.
All in all, this is amazing! Great work Dream!

Not a bad idea, but not feasible at least for them right now since they only seem to have enough equipment for one person at a time. Maybe in the future if everyone could be pixel people and play together but it’s just too much work for multiple at the same time.

If the Titan's movement speed was slowed, that would make this feel perfectly balanced. Arm movements, x/z movements, all of it -- the abilities work if they're slow

Honest impression: the technology is INSANELY cool (and I’m a programmer so I appreciate it more than some), but as a manhunt series this isn’t really engaging to me. What made the previous manhunt videos so engaging was overcoming impossible odds within a familiar system with well-defined rules, I.e. the world of multiplayer Minecraft that we all know. Sure there were some custom rules (e.g. hunters not using damage potions) to balance some things, but those rules were still within that well-known and familiar boundary of the game of Minecraft, where we all have some idea of how difficult it is to do the things we’re seeing (on the hunter and speed runner side).
But that’s all different with the titan mechanic. Now, the obstacles are arbitrary - the creators (I.e. Dream and friends) created the challenge, and could change it however they want. So watching it is like saying “wow, you lost at a game at you created the rules for, and now you’re saying you’ll come back and win it next time.” That’s not interesting because now the player is the one making the game, so the challenge doesn’t feel real. Therefore overcoming the challenge does not feel rewarding to the viewer. And now instead of multiplayer Minecraft it’s a game that the rest of us aren’t familiar with (even if Minecraft is the setting of it), so there is even less engagement.
Again, the technology is SUPER cool, and I’d love to see cool stuff done with it, but it’s not going to be an environment for an engaging challenge or overcoming of that challenge, in my opinion. It’s an environment for having fun or creating entirely new challenges that aren’t the same goal as a vanilla Minecraft challenge. Others are welcome to disagree.
