    Where the plastic isn’t too far scratched or gouged I’ve had good success with “Brasso”. Although the label does not say anything about using on plastic, it does a good job on acetate and acrylic. If the acetate oxidation isn’t too heavy it will remove it and lightly polish at the same time; also works well on watch crystals that are acrylic. Finally the Plast-X and even toothpaste will bring out the final shine. Thanks for the videos; always interesting.

    • @357magdad
      @357magdad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Michael! I like Brasso for brass knurling - the extra ammonia seems to do a nice job. It's seems like it's slightly more abrasive than Flitz. The Flitz followed by PlastX has been working well for me.

    Have you ever come across a screw holding Phillips head? I know most of them fit pretty tight above number two, but a lot of the smaller furniture grade brass hardware has a real tendency to slip and cam out. It seems like this technology still has a place for non-ferrous metals even with modern fasteners
