I didn’t film a lot of Jacktown because I know you always do a fantastic job of capturing all the great tables. It was such a great show. I’m still recovering. 😂👍. Your collection of screw holding screwdrivers is unmatched! 😃👍
Thanks ScoutCrafter! I feel like I walked 8 miles on Saturday!
Very nice tool haul! Looking forward to seeing the restorations.
Thanks Steve! Jacktown was fun!
I just put the patents for the master wrench in my video last night! A minor coinkidink, but still fun! 😎👍😎
Mine just says "patented". I don't know if that makes it older or newer..
@@357magdad I am not certain, but I feel like "Patent Pending" is the oldest. Patent dates or numbers is next oldest, and "Patented", is the youngest. But I could just be talking out of my butt. 😬😬😬
Great video thanks for sharing your time And you you came away with some amazing stuff thanks for sharing your time 🍺🍺👍👍🇬🇧
Thanks Brian!
Thanks for showing us Jacktown. I like the tools that you picked, especially the sewing machine screwdriver and the extra long screwdriver. The Jacktown eve tools are interesting too, especially the piano wire cutter.
Thanks Larry! Jacktown was fun!
Can you please let me know if you ever find very long thinner drill bits with a hole near the tip. These were used by telephone installers to drill a hole and pull the wires through for connecting up outside the main wall. My brother used to install phones and my father was a cable splicer who later had to learn installing fiber optics. I would love to find one to give my brother. I’ll keep looking around here in Wisconsin too.
I've never seen them before, but I'll keep an eye out!
It was great seeing you yesterday. I'm glad you got that long screwdriver. I had that in my hand and decided I couldn't give it the attention it needs. I can't wait to see how you bring it back. The music wire cutters are pretty neat.
Thanks Phil! Good seeing you again!
Jacktown Eve 😂. Im glad I bumped into you and a few other guys there when I did. I was in the back shopping and lost track of time, sorry I missed the meet up.
Good to see you again! You missed the famous raffle and giveaway!
@@357magdad I know 😔I did buy a bunch of cool stuff tho
You found some neat looking tools! This was great to watch. Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks John! It was a fun time!
Thanks for sharing your tour of the grounds and the group capture of Scout Crafter's devoted. Ha, when I saw the red plastic handles on your hack saw I first thought of the older red grips on Klein electricians' pliers. That will be a good cleanup in Magdad fashion. So what was on your "needed" list for Jacktown? Just curious. I remember back to the early 60s a vintage bernard parallel pliers in my dad's fishing tackle box.
I was shopping for a drill press vise and a RR track anvil.
Great video and great to see you at the show and what a great day it was too 👍
Good seeing you! It was a great time!
Thank you very much for taking us to Jacktown with you. I wish they had these kind of events down here. When you go to one down here it is like going to Walmart. Thanks again, Chris
Thanks Christopher! Antique engine shows always have the best flea markets!
Good stuff Bud!! Always fun talkin' with ya!! Thanks for the Shoutout!! It's a shame the Cutaway video mysteriously disappeared, probably forgot to press the record button, happens to the best of us!! It's OK you'll get another chance in July!! I almost bought those Music Wire Cutters on Fri because they were in such good shape!!☻
Your cutaway engine is awesome! I hope people take the time to watch your demo video!
You found some great items!
I'm trying to be a bit more choosy...
@@357magdad I "try" to do that too, but it is difficult to leave behind anything cool! NO TOOL LEFT BEHIND! 😎👍😎👍
Hi magdad, great to see another tool haul from you. I love the long screwdriver - don't know why, but I just want one now ! Looks like there was a huge choice of 'stuff' to choose from - I don't think I would have walked away empty handed. Thanks for taking us along. Take care 🙂
Thanks Michael! It would be almost impossible to leave Jacktown empty handed!
What fun! Thanks for showing us some more of Jacktown--that place sure looks amazing. Nice pickups at Jacktown and the yard-sale. I love that Miller's Falls hack-saw and the extra long screwdriver and can't wait to see what you do with it.
I'm looking forward to working on them!
Looks like a good time lots of tools and crafterites...🖖
It was great to meet everyone!
Great tool haul, I'm always amazed at everything they have at those shows
Thanks Michael! Jacktown is amazing!
I have a couple plumb bobs from my grandfather. Needs new line. Found out mason line doesn’t work, spins and unwinds. Need to find out what to use.
The internet suggests braided nylon twine...
What kind of maniac does not want to buy music wire cutters? You never know when you might need to escape band camp! Steve McQueen forever!
I think I've got two pair now...
Thanks for the walk around Jacktown on Saturday. I was not able to attend. I did attend today. I did not see some of the items in your video like the bamboo bicycle, so either it was sold or the vendor was not around today.
The day started with drizzle at my place, but dry by the time I got to Jacktown. Around noon the sun came out and it soon felt hot.
I only purchased one item today A Yankee push drill with all the bits for my nephew.
My friend picked up a light for checking eggs which was very interesting.
A good turnout of vendors.
Dave.
We had no rain on Saturday until about 12:30. There wasn't as many vendors this year - I think the weather for cast scared them off.
Thanks Magdad, great finds there looking forward to seeing what you do with them !
Must have been great to meet up with all the like minded tool enthusiasts !
The meetup was fun Andy! Jacktown needs to set up one of those portals so you guys in the UK can join us!
@@357magdad That would be great - "beam me up Scouty !" 😉
Lots of nice project there can't wait to see them done
Thanks Larry!
What a great show. A fantastic variety of cool stuff. I noticed someone there had a nice selection of early Ford wrenches. The music wire cutters you have make use of the Bernard compound leverage patent, hence the Bernard name on the tool. Inventor Bernard sold his patent to the William Schollhorn Co. which made a variety of hand tools using the Bernard patent. Bernard went to work for Schollhorn to develop these tools as part of the patent sale deal. Your cutters were made by Schollhorn, which is also stamped on the tool. You always find interesting tools and I think the music wire cutters are a rare find. Great show.
I'm glad I spotted them and brought them home Pat!
Neat little Jacktown tool Haul .. I like the little singer sewing machine screwdriver and the Miller Falls Hacksaw with the red handles i have the same model with the black handles .. Great Sunday Video take care enjoy your Sunday
Thanks Roger! I was hopin' those red handles meant Millers Falls!
Jacktown was a great time and good to see you and the others. Thanks for sharing.
Great talkin' to you Tony!
Thank for taking us along with you to the show. You picked up some nice tools. Thank You for sharing.
Thanks Jack! It was a fun day!
Looks like a fun time at Jacktown!.
I did notice a couple pressed c-clamps that I like at 3:27. Probably a good score on those.
I picked up the same Miller's Falls saw at a local flea market. Guess I need to get working on it.
There is something for everyone at Jacktown!
Nice haul, I like the hack saw especially the red handles they will look great cleaned up. Keep me up to date when the next Jack Town F M is. I plan to come to one this year if I can,
Thanks Dale! Next show is July 19, 20 and 21.
Thanks for the video, Magdad. Nice haul. Scoutcrafters meet-up was indeed a great time. Nice to meet everyone! 😃👍
I'm glad you enjoyed it Joseph! I hope you found some good treasure!
What a great place, I’d love to go one day, love the Millar’s Falls finds, just beautiful….and that long screwdriver, the handle is a work of art, nice haul 😊🇬🇧
Thanks Tony! Jacktown is always fun!
I few years back I purchased some Klein screw holding screwdrivers, indispensable in my opinion. Jacktown looks like a place I could really like lol. Thanks Magdad for the tag along. Also the music wire cutters are very cool.
Jacktown is always a blast!
Nice selection of tools purchased. Looked like a great show.
Jacktown was a blast!
Nice seeing you at Jacktown, your videos are always inspiring. I'm going to get me one of those mini lathes
Thanks David! Nice talking to you! I hope you have as much fun with that tiny lathe as I've had!
I think the Bernard pliers are superb and would be magnificent once cleaned !👍
Me too Freddy!
That music wire cutter is really neat. I'll bet that thing would clean up very nicely. Very interesting video as usual MagDad.
Thanks Bill!
Nice scores! That giant screwdriver is crazy. It'll be a fun project. I had a blast and it's a great place. I can't wait to go back! I was too preoccupied to film while I was there. But I got a lot of pictures.
I'm glad you had fun George! The Fall show is my favorite!
@@357magdad I don't know if I can make the fall show. we usually spend a week camping for my vacation.
@@Uwannawatch Camp in the Poconos near the show!
I like the railroad wrench! I have a couple of those myself. Jacktown had lots of good stuff! Your video showed many interesting wood planes and even a Roper Whitney punch set just like mine. I have never seen another just like it before.
You never know what you'll spot at Jacktown!
Magdad, i really like the red handled saw. I know you will do it justice and Chuck will polish it nicely! 👍🇺🇸
Chuck is looking forward to working on it!
Nice collection of tools you got thank you for the video
Thanks for watching Joe!
Great finds! Never know when you’ll need music wire cutters!
I'm gonna have to get some to test it!
Jacktown! RoadKing introduced me to that show many years ago - one of my bucket list items is to go there in person. I'd like to see you restore that 21 inch screwdriver - that handle will clean up great!
RoadKing and Mike ae great guys! Jacktown is always a fun day!
I have a smaller (but growing!) collection of screw holding screwdrivers. This weekend I was on the Highway 11 yard sale in Tennessee and picked up three more. I also collect Stanley 100 Plus screw drivers, and was pleased to find a small #1 Phillips and a small straight blade screw holding screw drivers. I’d never seen them in the 100 Plus before. They are the jaw type. The third is a slide type with a green handle. The maker is unfortunately not legible due to wear.
Careful, before you know it, you'll have over 100!🙄
Same here always “scouting” for Plumb pebble finish wrenches and Perfect Handles… but to no avail this trip again
Did go over my personal spending limit again, but brought home some unique items
I only saw two pricey perfect handles. I'm glad you found some treasure!
Hey !bonjour Magdad vraiment une très belle vidéo sur le marché, belle trouvailles,la scie, la pince et le grand tournevis sont superbes, j'adore. Un peu de nettoyage et ils sont comme neuf. ❤
Thanks Patrick! Jacktown was a lot of fun!
Nice haul. Those screwdrivers are great.
Thanks Mike! Check out what I ended up doing with that cool wood handle:

Great video, some good stuff for sale on those stalls, particularly the red Spray it near the beginning!
The May swap meet is almost overwhelming!
Great video Mag Dad. I hope to be able to go to Jack town some day. It would have been really nice to meet all of you.
ScoutCrafter's meet up gets bigger each year!
Thanks for sharing. I have one of those hack saws. It's my favorite one to use. I have about 6 of the quick wedge. They are hard to find. Never seen it in a Phillips. some day I'll find one.😊lol.
Unfortunately the hacksaw doesn't fit my hand great...
That was a great day out! You did well
I was trying to be very selective - I'm running out of room!
Very cool finds.
Thanks Gator!
It looks like an incredible flea market. I just did a GPS preview and it would be about an 18 hour drive from my house to the flea market. Tempting
You're gonna have trouble making it a day trip!😁
I can’t wait to see that long screwdrivers clean up video. Its handle looks very interesting. Maybe you will do the two screwdrivers together.
Thanks Gayle!
Great hacksaw , I have the same one . Solid tool
I was happy to find it!
Wow. Wish that I could have been there. Maybe one of these days. 🙂
It was a fun time!
I must find a Miller's Falls hack saw like that one. That will be beautiful restored
I'm looking forward to working on it!
Screw-Holding Screwdrivers: Klein only has two screw-holding screwdrivers - a 1/4" straight blade screwdriver (PN 32215) and a #2 phillips (PN 32216). Greenlee has almost identical screw holding screw drivers (1/4” straight PN 0453-15C and @2 phillips PN 0453-18C) plus four additional sizes: 1/8” straight blade (PN 0453-12C), a 3/16” straight blade screw driver (PN 0453-14C), a #0 Phillips (PN 0453-16C), and a #1 phillips (PN 0453-17C). The Greenlee and Klein units are almost identical except for the color of the plastic handle.
There are also screw starters that are shaped like a pencil. These screw starters were originally built by the HJJ company but it seems the HJJ company went out of business. There are two companies that curently build a more limited line of pencil style screw starters:
Feuerhelm tool: Has several straight blade and phillips screw starters. The straight is for #6 screws and larger and two styles of phillips screw starters. Both straight and phillips screw starters have various lengths. I own a Feuerhelm straight blade screw starter and it works well.
NoDrop Tools has slotted and phillips screw holding screwdrivers that hold #4 slotted or phillips and larger screws - I have not used these so I do not know how well they work.
Thanks Brian.
MFalls hacksaw are cool.. handles are nice. I have had a few of those but none with the handles that nice. Good stuff
I thought it was a good buy for a buck!
Screw holding screwdrivers are nice .I have one I use all the time on magnetos.
I think I have over 100 now Mike!
Wow that screwdriver handle is really unusual.
It looks like it would be complicated to manufacture.
I can't wait till I meet ScoutCrafter and yourself one of these days at Jacktown 🙏
The ScoutCrafter meetup is always fun!
Jack Town is on my bucket list. But it's a long way from Alabama !!
You and Big Vic should carpool!
That hacksaw was a big bargin.
I was pretty happy to find it on the dollar table!
Love that MF hacksaw! That was a great video you made, really gives viewers an idea of all the cool items for sale. Thanks Magdad!
Thanks Mike! Jacktown is always a fun time!
I have always heard Vaco pronounced with the long A. For what it’s worth.
Thanks!
Great video. You guys, all my u tube pro friends, kill me. I would buy every carpenter's hammer. How are you guys going to survive the zombies? Great video. Thank you.
Thanks! I think my all metal RR wrench would be effective against the undead...🧟
Look at all em hammers! What is it about hammers?
People prolly have a hammer problem like I got a screwdriver problem...
