Wow very lucky on the causeway, 9 out of 10 times your eating concrete in a situation like that. Wind turbines are a blight on the landscape. They’re are only there to power a suburb of a city and are set up in the country where the locals don’t want them. Plus the fossil fuels to build them out weights the power they make and thier shelf life is less then a Tesla. Great video man can’t wait for part 2
How’s that coolaid taste?
@@RealHooksy He's correct.
I've been riding for over forty years and seen a lot of changes. If you young people keep falling for this renuable energy crap you won't be riding in 20 years and then you'll be whining about it. You need to start waking up to the fact that they're trying to stop you riding/driving by converting to cost prohibitive electric vehicles that won't go the distance and pricing fuel out of the market.
They can never have enough turbine/solar to power homes and allow you a past time like riding your electric bike as well. Not that you'll be allowed to travel to many cool places because they're locking everything up at a rapid pace and now that National Parks is controlling State Parks you can expect them to be mostly gated as well in the near future.
Enjoy your riding because you won't be doing it in 20 years ... if you're lucky.... so get off your arse and start saying no to their "greenie" shit. Unless you're a closet greenie??.
@@coobye the coolade taste good hey?
Great vid mate and thanks for the causeway entertainment! :) These wind and solar farms are a complete eyesore and lots of area needs to be bulldozed to accomodate them....they are terrible. We should be going nuclear!
Thanks for watching mate
Those uranium mines and nuclear power plants don’t exactly blend into the countryside either 😂😂
@@Kennycrabslater The nuclear power plants can just be put in the place of decommissioned coal power plants and the uranium mines are all located in the outback.
Another top video. Inspiring me more and more to get out on the bike for a night or two away.
Good to hear
You’ll love it 👍🏼
That green stuff is slicker than owl snot😂
Sure is
Well done Josh. That causeway was proper slippery. Glad you didn’t got off there.
Me too! Thanks 🙏
I love my 22 year old DRZ. Ive had my 2002 since 2006
Finally someone doing moto vlogs in my area. Sweet vid and good job on keeping the shiny side up
they've been having the same issues with new causeways in nsw too. somewhere along the line they forgot the concrete should have exposed aggregate or grooves for grip.
another tip is stay in the car tracks where growth is less than the middle or edges.
I've found the moss grows thicker in direct sunlight. So crossings without shade are the most slippery.
Great scenery & top notch camera quality. I'll be referring to this TH-cam clip when I explain the benefits of owning a laptop with an OLED screen. Who would have thought that a bloke on a dirt bike would be responsible for selling new laptops!
That’s what I’m here for 🤣
Some poor bugger will hit that causeway at speed. Glad you held that first ‘heart stopper’.
I hit it at speed, just enough speed to keep it upright it would seem 😂
But yea it needs to be fixed up
Looks more like punishment than pleasure😮
Never 😁
Slicker than snot on a door knob !! ! Haha..in both directions! Water not moving = danger!
perfect video while waiting on the Canadian winter to end so I can get back to riding on the dry
Good save on the causeway! Stunning country by the looks of it
Got real lucky there! 🤣
Those concrete causeways are a serious danger for motorcyclist and councils either have to stop installing them or find a way to stop them getting so slippery. (a rougher aggregate surface finish would help). Even using steady throttle control and low speed it is often impossible to get a bigger adventure bikes across them.
I’ve never had any real issues with them before but this one definitely got my attention. I have seen plenty of people going down from slippery ones though so surely there is a better option
Just put a flat spot in your new 606 too ! The second stack cracked me up. I`ve never crossed one that is that slippery. Wow
…I should probably watch the rest of the video. Thx for sharing! I’ll probably post our little fall soon.
Awesome scenery, beautiful country, great ride.
Thanks 🙏
That was a very enjoyable video mate 😎👍 that crossing looked crazy slippery , glad you managed to keep it up right the first time , could have hurt 🤔 your editing is getting better and better 😁
keep well Josh and keep it upright-ish 🤣😉🍺
Haha thanks for watching 🤙🏼
Woah, close call with that slippery section! Great video
Luck was on my side 😮💨
I definitely puckered up on the intro
Very enjoyable watch
It's amazing how slippery that moss was. It looked like ice. Probably good you were going as quick as you were.
Yea speed helped me on this occasion!
Nice ride mate, well done. love the drone footage. Cheers
Thanks 🙏
Love the video mate just wondering what front guard your running I want too get rid of my farm bike one 🤣
It’s an RM fender
Used to be on the early 2000s 250/450s. Looks much better
Was waiting for your review of the D606 after your Cape York ride, can only assume you liked it as you have fitted another...Tyres seem to be a polarising topic of conversation amongst motorcyclist...love your Vids...keep up the good work.
Still need to do that video 😂
But yea I don’t mind it
Thanks for watching
17:46 A group of us went through that same hole in the fence last year and ran into an angry farmer. We got to that second locked gate and went left to cut through that paddock, but that is where the farmer turned us around.
Yea right! Lucky I didn’t come across said angry farmer 😂
Going off maps I thought I was still in part of state forest land.
Hey josh another fantastic video very motivating appreciate you sharing your content dude keep up the awesome work you do 👍👌
No problem
Thanks for watching
Gday Josh. All wind turbines are environmental vandalism but not a single Greenie insight. Keep up the great content.
Awesome episode Josh
Thanks 😊
Great video mate, have you ever done a video on what spare parts you take with you ?
Close Call mate!😮😎🙋🏻♂️
A little too close 😅
inspirational as ever josh 😉 man, you we're lucky (or just skilled?!) to not come off on that causeway... cant believe you went back for another go 🤣
90% luck, 10% skill I reckon 😂
I see there was a surveillance camera on that causeway. Someone will have you on a fail video. Crazy how slippery it was.
Haha I’d like to see the footage
Should HAVE.
Sorry to be the grammar police.
Nice ride though 😎
Yea I “should of” changed it 🤣
Great vid mate! Nice tracks found too! Also, what size Kriega bags you running? They the same size for your T7 too?
Thanks mate
I was using 12 litre bags on this adventure. I have 2x18 litre bags which I sub in for the bigger adventures. Same bags I used on the T7
I was thinking ‘don’t go over it again..’ 😆. I’m bummed they concreted them.
Haha I didn’t think it would be so bad
Yea it takes the adventure out of it
Hey mate. Great video. You said you have a t7. Do you think it would be ok to do the same sort of trails on it or would it be too heavy? I have a wr450 and Suzuki dl1000 and looking at going to a t7 instead. That higher speed slide would have scared the $&@“ out of me. Well done for keeping it rubber side down.
Hey dude
I’ve sold the T7. It could of done all the tracks on this trip easily.
I've been concerned if the front fender tool kit would do that. I have a single zip tie around the strap and the reflector mount just to hold it back and on
That’s the first time it’s ever happened to me. I think it just wasn’t tightened down enough
Another great video Josh. Nice save! I'd rather look at a wind turbine than a bloody great coal mine.
That will make you pucker a bit !
Just a bit 😌
Another great vid mate… have to give that a go myself. Does the Drz charge all you GoPros phone drone etc? Always wondered on the longer trips as well.
My phone and GoPros it does. Not the drone, can’t find a 12v charger for my particular drone battery’s. I just charge them where I can on the longer trips.
Thanks for watching.
Great video! Lol'd at the creek bit but glad you kept it upright for the first pass. Switched back to the D606 from the Motoz? Prefer the Dunlops?
Haha thanks mate
Yea I’m liking them
Not as long lasting as the motoz adventure but a touch more grippy off-road. Comes in the 130 size I want which is good too
@@_JoshJB_ Thanks. I'm due for a new rear on my DRZ. I have swapped to the Motoz Dual Venture on the front (from the D606) and I prefer it. Can't decide on Rallz or D606 for the rear.
Always looking for new road to explore round seq. … duck creek road says it’s closed ?
It does, but no barriers or locked gates when I’ve come through. Still gets used by 4wds as well.
We crashed there! Just over 40km/hr and our first crash, my misses has pillioned with me for about 15 years on sports bikes, our first ride on the KTM 890R Adenture and down we went! Also got it on camera. You can see there is a camera just above the crossing so someone definitely knows about it.
Hope you were both ok.
Yea I noticed the camera there when editing. Might just be for them to check on water levels also though.
Great video. I have a wr450 it gets around 80 k to a full tank. How many k’s are you doing on a trip like this? And how many do you get to a full tank?? Unfortunately with the new yamaha design the air box is in the tank so I can’t get bigger. I’m not sure on carry a bladder
I did just over 300kms this day. I get around 400kms on a tank.
@@_JoshJB_ wow that’s a lot. Looks like I won’t be doing any trips with you then haha
Agree.turbines are terrible. Wonder what all the cameras are about.
Great video. A bit ironic complaining about wind turbines in a video posted to a platform that is a massively wasteful consumer of electricity.
Thanks mate. I’ll upload my videos without electricity next time. 🤣
Great vid. Need those mirrors…?
Legally yes
Josh. How do you know which tracks you can and can't ride on. Is there any website or maps showing you where tracks are and if they are ok to use..
What camera and audio gear are you using for this great footage?
Hey mate
There’s a video on my channel detailing it all. But I use GoPros and a purple panda mic.
🍃💚🇵🇭
how big is the tank, and whats your rough milage?
Advertised as 17L
Holds about 20 though. How longs a piece of string 🤣
I’ve hit reserve at around 340kms and 415kms. If riding is easy going I usually aim for the 400km mark
That was a close one, i felt it at 12:00 haha. Wind turbines are the future! Good clean energy. way better than coal stations 🕷
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
11:55 haha
"I should HAVE listened".........that's called "English"
🫡
I'd love to do this trip. Is this trip documented somewhere?
It’s documented in this video I guess 😁
This video doesn't allow us to follow it (ie GPS coordinates at turns or street names)@@_JoshJB_
That's sad they are putting in all the causeways. Condimine Gorge Trail is a draw card for their local economy from 4wders and adv bikers.
I should HAVE listened......
Yes you should of
@@_JoshJB_ I guess English is your second language, then, because should have is the correct grammar...
Property owners illegally locking gates on public roads is becoming a problem.
Sure is mate
Does my head in
@@_JoshJB_ Agree. There's got to be a way to stop it. I might start carrying a pair of bolt cutters.
Anyhow, top video mate. How good is Rocky River Road. I'm heading back up that way in April and will do Rocky River Rd again. We actually walked down that sandy track in the pitch black looking for firewood and never noticed the river crossing.
