When first seeing this, I thought at first they celebrated 100 years of Warner Bros. or this cinema chain (even though the former was founded in 1923). Now I realized that they were celebrating 100 years of the movie industry in general.
Warner Brothers owned theaters in the US in the early part of the century...eventually they became part of RKO Stanley Warner, which I believe eventually became part of Regal.
Yep. Judging by the template seen at the beginning of this snipe, and by the music that's heard in it (not the "Feature Presentation" snipe, as it uses a piece of stock music on it), I can definitely say that Flying Foto Factory, not just composed the music to this, but also animated the entire thing seen here.
@Rlotpir1972 all the major studios had their own theaters. Money from the theaters financed the big studio system that used to exist in Hollywood up until the late 50's. Studios would send out a big budget picture, a smaller picture or a short (mini movie), a cartoon, and a newsreel. they had to take the bad movies along with the good movies. People filled out questionaires sometimes that gave the studios feedback on the stars and on newer talent too.
this is beautiful, even when this is not HD, it’s still beautiful

Warner’s official 100th anniversary isn’t until 2023 😂
@@taydrabrookshire347 I'm aware.
That aged well.

Forgot about United States vs Paramount Pictures, Inc.?
I must have heard some of the music from this when I was a young child going to the movies.
Wow this is pretty great my freind now imagine if they still used this for most movie theaters today but that's just me then I guess

I remember seeing this at my Quality 16 when watching Shrek and Monsters Inc.
Warner Cinemas/Warner Village Cinemas likely wasn’t the theater you saw those in duri- Wait. What nation are you from?
Kaden Vanciel The United States of America in Michigan. I saw saw a policy trailer that looked and sounded a lot like the one here.

@Rlotpir1972 ----- England. In the US it is illegal for movie studios to own movie theaters - Brown v. Paramount 1954.
The two policy trailers from Phoenix Theatres and Reel World Theatres are both the same Warner Bros 100 Years policy trailer.
Is there a HQ version of this anywhere?
No sorry, that’s the best I have - was recorded over 20 years ago on VHS camcorder!
@@cimarronpob wasn't expecting a reply, thanks anyway for your services to media preservation!! this trailer is one of my favourites tbh

I feel like Cinema Concepts based the scores for that other policy trailer and this one on old logos for Warner Bros.

If you knew the Warner Bros. Cinema 100 years Policy logo, what year in the early '90s did this debut? 1990, 1991, 1992 or 1993?
Probably the first one, since according to sources, filming began in 1890.
Reddit Symphony Brought m,e here! This is the second part of the Project "Fanfare from a Forgotten Time and Place".
Why do I get the feeling Cobb used a trailer like this earlier in the years?
Folks have said that other theater chains used this intro. Are there videos of it? (aside from Cobble Hill Cinema, which I know exists on TH-cam.)
100 Years
First the 2001-2005 policy trailer, And then the 2008-present policy trailer was the same as WB Cinemas 100 Years policy trailer
I never knew Warner Bros. had their own movie theaters. When was this made? Where could I find one?
Robert Lopresti They used to have locations in Great Britain but now they are Vue Cinemas
They recorded it off a movie theatre screen.
@@meaganh637 They still do Warner Village Cinemas in Italy.
@@lighttower2931 Actually, an Italian theater company purchased that remaining chain and rebranded it in 2009.
Hey, what's reused in the beginning of Warner Bros. Cinemas policy trailer without "Celebrating 100 Years of..." instead. same as Cobble Hill Cinema.
do you have the cobb theaters version?
AMC Theaters Our Feature Presentation Logo
I Thinks That WB Enjoyed 100 year Celebration In 1993...🤔THEN WHY THE CELEBRATING ONES MORE 😠
These are vue now :(
I reused Warner Bros. Cinemas 100 Years policy trailer from 2001 to present day
