Background music by the legendary Hideki Naganuma for the Jet Set Radio soundtracks
Radiohead first burst into the music scene with their hit single Creep. Thom Yorke just did a remix of this song titled Creep (Very 2021 Rmx). This song was off of their first album, Pablo Honey. After that, Radiohead released a couple more singles for their album The Bends. These singles include Fake Plastic Trees and High and Dry, two very popular Radiohead songs. Radiohead then released OK Computer, an incredible album featuring the singles Karma Police and No Surprises.
After OK Computer, Radiohead took a huge left turn and released Kid A. No singles for this album but some great songs include Everything in it's Right Place and Idioteque. After that the band released Amnesiac, an album with songs from the recordings of Kid A. Some highlights include Knives Out and Pyramid song. Radiohead then went on to release Hail to The Thief, a pretty forgettable album imo but song good songs include Go To Sleep and There There.
Radiohead then released the album In Rainbows. They gave In Rainbows away for free! With some great songs like Videotape, Reckoner and Nude. After In Rainbows the band released another kind of an alright album known as The King of Limbs. Who could forget that super memorable video for Lotus Flower. The band's most recent release, A Moon Shaped Pool features great songs like Burn the Witch and Daydreaming. This album is a fantastic addition to their discography.

I actually think Hail to the Thief is a super underrated album from Radiohead. Perhaps up next to the greatest stuff they've made it's not up to snuff. But I really enjoy the guitar work and variety of it. It's probably one of the albums I come back and listen to the most, behind In Rainbows and OK Computer.
it's my favourite Radiohead album, love it more than OK computer
Couldn’t agree more
I honestly like it more as a "collection of songs" than an actual album you can listen through. There are some of their best songs ever on it, but also some of their worst. I don't enjoy listening to it completely through as much as I do with Ok Computer or In Rainbows.
Amnesiac is better
Agreed
Bro thought electioneering was about electricity 💀💀💀
I aslo thought that at first
Bro thought the global population was less than 202 million
Spoiler It’s election not electrical
i agree with everything except for the HTTT slander
Haha yaa I'm sorry. It's just not up to par for me
its all good man, everyone has their own tastes. i respect it :)
I agree
Hail to the thief is Mid and you know it in your heart.
@@syntheticreality549 It's my favorite and I really see it as their 4th best album (after Kid A, OKC, IR)
Yes it is in the middle
In Rainbows is one of the best albums I've ever heard.
fr fr
finally someone who doesn’t just dump on TKoL and call it as bad as Pablo Honey. Sure it’s nowhere near as good as their best releases, but there are some really well executed ideas in here, which is nothing to sneeze at. But yeah I would agree that the live recording of it is better
TKoL used to almost be in S tier for me actually! I really do enjoy it
It’s a fucking great album. Separator is one of my favorite Radiohead songs.
Tkol is too good
It certainly isn't good, but it has a great track (that being Codex), which is more than HttT and AMSP can say.
@@andyblanton6570 nah nah Amsp is hype
3:23 - "I wish I could witness that live"
Oh, it was one of my favourite moments I experienced live.
I will now forever be jealous of you
I was in my youth when Radiohead were peaking and yes, OK Computer was amazing, then Kid A dropped. I remember listening to the opening track Everything in its Right Place and thinking that this is the evolution of rock. And how was I right, rock music was never the same since Kid A.
I used to think The Bends was an OK Radiohead album. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. But, recently I have been listening to it a lot more and I honestly feel like I would put it in S tier.
real
Bullet proof i wish i was is amazing change my mind
just
Black star is amazing
I can’t put Kid A and the Bends on the same tier. Kid A gets a big bump from me just for being so revolutionary. It feels like it did what it was meant to do perfectly.
in rainbows is my second favorite album oat and i love that you put amsp in top three, loved your input :)
S: In Rainbows, Ok computer, A Moon shaped pool
A: Kid A, the bends
B: Amnesiac, Hail to the thief
C: TKOL
D: Pablo Honey
Good list! Sad to see TKoL in C but I understand why
@@KyleReidMu I think I just gotta listen to it more
I’d switch The Bends with HTTT and put HTTT above Kid A but otherwise I completely agree!
For me personally-
S: OK Computer, In Rainbows
A: Kid A, The Bends, Amnesiac, AMSP
B: TKOL
C: H Triple T
D: Pablo Honey
although all four of the albums in a tier could easily go in s on a given day as well
also hot take but Amnesiac is ever so slightly better than Kid A (though Everything in its Right Place is one of the best songs ever made)
S: OK Computer, Amnesiac, The Bends, Kid A, Hail To The Theif, In Rainbows, A Moon Shaped Pool.
A: The King Of Limbs
B: Pablo Honey
Lmao fantastic list
Too many overrated albums... In what world is Pablo Honey B tier? It only has ~3 good songs, give or take one.
S: Kid A > OK Computer (amazing)
A: A Moon Shaped Pool > In Rainbows (great)
B: Hail To the Thief > Amnesiac (good)
C: The King Of Limbs > The Bends (okay)
D: Pablo Honey (bad)
@@jd1800 you have just placed them in order of experimental. In what world is the king of limps and amnesiac better than the Bends?
@@slestertv6185 I don't think AMSP would be third and Amnesiac sixth if I was judging them based on how experimental they are.
The King of Limbs is only better than The Bends because Separator is a top 5 Radiohead song IMO. Otherwise, I would concede that The Bends is the better album. I'll also admit that I may have an Amnesiac bias, because I started listening to Radiohead because of Peaky Blinders, which included like 3 Amnesiac songs.
@@jd1800 kid a is f tier
Never new drew gooden was into Radiohead!
lol
S+: In rainbows (favorite album by any band)
S: The bends, OK Computer
A: Kid A, A moon shaped pool
B: Amnesiac, Hail to the thief
C: Pablo honey
D: The King of Limbs
Interesting, The Bends in S tier! Good list! gotta say though, I'm sad to see TKOL so low
You are so young Kyle and I appreciate your vast interest knowledge about my fave band since year 2000 ;) I'm also Kyle btw ;)
BTW I have seen them 8 times live :) Loved every show!!! I'm personally not the biggest fan of pablo honey and creep and here's my ranking: 1. Ok Computer
2. Kid A
3. In Rainbows
4. Hail to the Thief
5. Amnesiac
6. King of Limbs
7. The Bends
8. Moon Shaped Pool
9. Pablo Honey
I agree with this list. Not a single skip on In Rainbows or OK Computer, and even their “lower tier” albums are only that way due to the high standards of the rest of their work.
Also, thumbs up for playing Hideki Naganuma in the background haha
I started dating this girl who introduced me to a whole new world of music, and one of them was one of the worlds she introduced to me was Sufjan. Now I’m finally getting over the intimidation I felt about how dense his stuff is and started with Age of Adz, I’m in love.
S: In Rainbows, OK Computer, Kid A
A: Amnesiac, HTTT, The Bends, A Moon Shaped Pool, TKOL
D: Pablo Honey
Lmao good list
I see what u did there
1-in rainbows
2-amsp
3-TKOL (including staircase/daily mail)
4-ok computer
5-kid A
6-hail to the thief
7-the bends

Great list! I'm happy to see TKOL so high :) why did you put Amnesiac so low?
@@KyleReidMu not really my cup of tea album wise. "pyramid song", "i might be wrong" and "you and whose army" are excelent tho. thinking back i would probably put it above pablo honey..
my dad got to see radiohead live on the pablo honey tour in a club and he got to meet them he says they were cool as hell
electioneering is the best song to ever be created like ever. i also consider Pablo Honey to be a relatively great album but maybe my love for radiohead is brainwashing me into subjective listening
Electioneering is so incredible. I think Pablo Honey is alright but the band just went on to do so many other great things
Nah bro it ruins the atmosphere of OKC. Not a terrible song but the instrumentals make it seem like a Bends song
@@moxy6772 while electioneering isn't one of my favorites I think it's amazing
@@moxy6772 I think it's an important track for the album as it helps kickstart the beginning of the second half of the album
Yeah I mean it's one of my favs, I don't see it getting the attention it truly deserves.
Sufjan next 😉
average kid a fan vs average amnesiac enthusiast
How you gonna say arpeggi wrong but say arpeggio right
LMAO! How did I not catch that when I was editing this
The longest they took to release an album was 5 years between album 8 and 9, its been 8 years without new radiohead album, will they ever come back?

I love the bg imagery
The ice age coming references were on point
I honestly couldn’t agree more with electioneering, probably one of my favorite Radiohead songs and extremely underrated

Yup kind of some basic picks for my tier list but the albums are just so good! Idk why but Hail to The Thief just doesn't really connect with me like some of their other stuff

Jesus fucking christ, great video even without any Italian food. 12 outta fucking 10
I remember listening to Radiohead when Pablo honey was the only thing to choose from haha. Man, if you could have been alive to enjoy the video to paranoid android when it originally released on MTV. Over 7 minute cartoon video with a non structured bubble song. It was so different that all I could call it was the 90's.
Amnesiac and TKOL are their two best for me.
Love seeing the love for TKOL!
Hey, if you haven't, watch Thom & Jonny doing an acoustic version of Numbers (they're outside on benches).Really beautiful. Yes- I think the Bends is a really good album, my favorite! There's a concert at Astoria where Radio is playing Pablo Honey & new music from the Bends. Its a really good show- i watch it all the time. And the Bloom is reworked as a sound track for Blue Planet, pt 2 for BBC.I found Thom performing the song playing piano and looping musical sounds with it. I like this version much better than the studio one. There is So Much Radiohead content out there; I'm ecstatic that a young person as yourself truly understands how complex and diverse yet utterly Fantastic this band is! This is Thom's world- we're just living here.
I love Black Star
Street spirit is one of my favorite songs of all time yes
Scatterbrain is reallly pretty. Swear
King of limbs above hail to the thief and amnesiac is an interesting choice
I was living in London for 2 years in my early 20's when Ok Computer got release. That CD was played a millions time and is the sound track to that part of my life. Though I agree, In Rainbows is the best Radiohead release.
It’s funny that you said Life in a Glasshouse is what a Disney Radiohead song would sound like because iirc that’s what they were going for with Motion Picture Soundtrack
Oh haha that's really interesting!

B: Moon Shaped Pool, The Bends, Airbag/How Am I Driving EP, I Might Be Wrong, In Rainbows Disc 2
C: King of Limbs, My Iron Lung EP
D: Pablo Honey
King of Limbs From the Basement is probably just behind Moon Shaped Pool in B-tier, but I've not listened to it enough to settle a proper opinion. I can say I like it *much* better than the album proper. Anything else I've left off, like Com Lag, I just haven't heard at all yet, haha.
why is hail to the thief so low
This is gonna be controversial as fuck, but here goes:
S: OK Computer, In Rainbows, A Moon Shaped Pool
A: Kid A, Amnesiac
B: Hail To The Thief
C: The King Of Limbs
D: The Bends
E: Pablo Honey
No F’s here.
Wow the bends in D tier?? Interesting take. I respect it
@@KyleReidMu yeah, The Bends is a really conflicting record for me. Half of the songs are really intriguing and a major step forward, but the other half feels like a slightly more polished rehash of Pablo Honey. Idk, it’s just a really hit or miss album to me and I find everything they did afterward to be a lot more interesting.
@@jacobneylon647 Ya that totally makes sense
Hail to the thief is so underrated. It's better than Kid A IMO because it feels more like Radiohead and has a more normal feel to it

A bit strange to see Pablo Honey ranked higher than HTTT (Which has 2+2=5, STTM, WIEAYB, There There, AWATD) and AMSP (Which has BTW, Daydreaming, Decks Dark, Glass Eyes and TLW)
@@dv1860 @D V I'm way more forgiving with Pablo Honey and The Bends because they were growing pains albums, especially the former.
Hail to the Thief has 3 good songs (Go to Sleep, Myxomatosis, and We Suck Young Blood), and 1 great song (A Wolf at the Door). However, it also has 2 terrible songs (2 + 2 = 5 and Sit Down. Stand Up), and everything else is extremely forgettable, and ranges from mediocre to bad. It's OK Computer, but the instrumentals are more average, and with the exception of the We Suck Young Blood, Myxomatosis, and A Wolf at the Door, every song is just bitching about their interpretation of politics halfway around the world and making outrageous claims about the labor party (I don't think they're that great, especially not at the time, but Tony Blair is not Stalin reincarnated like this album would have you believe.)
Most problems I have with A Moon Shaped Pool are entirely my fault. It's a great album that I just can't get behind most of the time.

Please don’t rate albums ever again 😊
First of all: i like to differenciate best album from favorite album.
The best for me is Ok Computer but my favorite is The Bends.
Here is my take on those albums:
Pablo Honey: cool!
The Bends: perfect.
Ok Computer: music at its finest. Masterpiece.
Kid A: "look at me i am so depressed sob sobsob" -not bad but nowhere as awesome as some claim-
Amnesiac: "hehehe that is cute." -more daring than Kid A and more interesting imo.-
Hail to the Thief: it got Sail to the Moon. Period.
In Rainbows: amazing.
The king of limbs: they experimented. It failed. At least they tried. -this album as the most distinctive, and consistent of all the others. The live version is way better-
A moon shaped pool: you can hear they have the same producer that worked with Air. And the result is brilliant!
Sure it is a short explanation and each albums (yes all of them) would desserve a detailed analysis explained, but that sums my opinion
i personally love pablo honey
