I think it's a douche move by KC to sign him then not play him.ffs. he could be playing, and contributing somewhere else. I wouldn't have minded him going back to NE, he'd be a great red zone target, and better than most of the WRs and TEs they have.
If Tampa wasnt already Jacked, he was a favorite of Bradys his short stint in NE.
Or give him a chance to at least play somewhere else. Raiders and Saints come to mind.

Love the vids man. You should do a vid (in each position if ya want) of super star players from college that fell off, fk'd up, etc that they have got a full careers. How different could the NFL be? It happens all the time, like Blackmon in this video. If he could have stayed out of trouble what kinda of impact could there have been? Playa after player, draft after draft. How deep and star studded could it be if all the injuries, arrests, and busts just never happened on top of all the surprise talent too. Now it just sounds like a thought experiment rather than a video idea, too many variables lol.

Amazing video, but don't hate on my boy Kendall Wright. He had a 1000 yard season and really was not in a great situation in Tennessee's offense at that time. Not an bad career, just an underwhelming one

9:00 this is one of the best features of Pro Football Reference. I always go back to old drafts and sort by stats - games played, receptions, yds, etc. Gives a perspective on the over-valuing of 1st round picks.

The 3rd round of that draft gave us Rusell Wilson and TY Hilton, two seriously great players. How on earth did all the scouts and GMs and coaches overlook them? Oh wait, they're both kinda short.

I miss Josh Gordon circa 2012-2014. At least, the on field version of that Josh Gordon. A very lone bright light of potential in the dark, Cleveland fan related basement that I dwelled. Just wish he had his head in the game and he could've been the greatest receiver to ever play the game. I'll die on that hill

Blackmon was my teammate in Jacksonville. This guy was mishandled by Jax(suprised? Me Either) and they knew he was in need of help as he was dealing with serious alchohol problems. He was ABSOLUTELY an UNBELIEVABLLY talented player and was on pace to be an ELITE WR. I personally think it was a mistake for the Jags not to be more proactive in helping to get Justin help. I think this was a situation where you have to hold a young guys hand and keep him out of trouble yourself to protect your investment. In the end, they distanced themselves and that was what really changed everything for Justin. He just was not able to shake the demons. Loved the guy because he loved football. Sad and tragic. Hope he has found some kind of peace of mind at this point.
