With fragrance just as with fashion; just because something is beautiful and may actually look good on you (smell good on you), doesn’t mean you should get it or keep it. It may not speak to who you really are or speak truth to you. We should learn to appreciate but not possess, that way we can focus on what is really important to us.
This is exactly how I feel with Cloud 2.0. People compliment it when I wear but it doesn’t bring me joy. I don’t smell like “me” even when it smells good. Ended up listening to my gut and exchanged my 100mL with another bottle.
I gave my bottle of Decadence to the young woman who occasionally cleans for me. She said she gets compliments everywhere she goes. She said it caught her a boyfriend. She used up the bottle and shopped everywhere for it, having no idea it is a discontinued fragrance. (I didn’t enjoy it at all! ) I was going to surprise her with a bottle at Christmas, but it is overpriced now since it’s discontinued. I did it Ilithia, I purchased Loubirouge a couple months ago. It is luxurious! You are so right, we do love hearing feelings about our fragrances. My latest surprise sample that I have loved wearing the last 2 days is Byredo Rose of No Man’s Land. I think that will be my next bottle, though so expensive, I might have to wait a couple months. I enjoyed the idea of this video very much.
Mh here in Switzerland miss dior absolutely blooming isn't discontinued....it is also on their Website. For me this is a lovely scent on a sunny winterday because of the sweetness!! I cant wear it on warm days!
I am starting to believe it is not discontinued. When miss dior 2017 was said to be discontinued you couldn’t find it after a couple of months. This one the rumour started around the same time and is still available almost everywhere. So not sure. I hope it isn’t, because it is BEAUTIFUL and I have a back up of it just in case 😌
i just got absolutely blooming and i’m loving it so far. for me miss dior 2017 is too heavy on the pink pepper and a little mature for me, i’m so glad i picked up absolutely blooming because it’s more “wearable” for me! i got blooming bouquet as well, i like it too but it smells kind of shampoo like to me so i’ve been using it as my go to for staying at home but i don’t like wearing it at work or on dates
I agree, lately I have been just craving lighter for refined scents, I have been wearing my Phlur not your baby exclusively for about a month now, lol!! It’s just so beautiful, and light, I just bought the jo Malone peony and blush suede and can not wait to get it in!! Great vid!!💕

Eau de Lingerie (and the full Matières Confidentielles collection) are actually for fabrics, though they market them for skin as well with the caveat that they're more of a body spray concentration. That's why the performance is so subtle-it's not meant to suffuse fabrics too strongly!
Another regret I thought of was Kayali vanilla, I thankfully just bought a very small bottle however I need about 8 sprays to smell it on myself only a few hours later. My Victoria Secret bare vanilla lasts better!
VS Bare Vanilla is my fav vanilla scent of all time-body sprays and perfumes combined. I also regret Kayali Vanilla. It is too “toasty” for me. Thankfully I only bought the travel size!
I have the same problem and I’m always scared to say that I’m not the biggest fan of Vanilla 28 because it’s so widely loved and hard to get your hands on but it just doesn’t do it for me! I much more prefer Vanilla woods from the 7 virtues or even Vanilla Sky from Skylar ☺️
I am glad that I didn't purchase it, bc, I've heard quite a few people say this. Something that people have commented is that it's supposed to be a fragrance to layer, but, doesn't have a "layer fragrance" price tag. I love, love vanilla so I'm on the hunt for an amazing one.

I wanted to like the Ariana REM but there’s just something about the saltiness and the lavender my nose doesn’t like. Also, LVEB makes me sick. I think it’s the heaviness of it and the iris. My fav flanker is the intensment! It has raspberry and vanilla.
I absolutely love the new la vie est belle Oui! Its the most beautiful sweet Iris fragrance. I think people complain about perfumes not being strong enough and bad performance, then complain when fragrance are too strong ...lol. i love the entire La Vie est Belle line, but i have to be in the mood for it, i like it for going out for drinks, i really love Peony and Blush suede too, i chose that over Clean Skin as my "work perfume "since im not supposed to wear fragrance. Its nice and light
I felt the same way about Metallique, I'm glad it was one of the few instances where I went for a decant instead of the full-bottle. I couldn't even finish my 5ml decant. Everytime I tried to wear it something in it bothered me suddenly.
I absolutely love Decadence! It is my signature fragrance but since it is discontinued I will be replacing it with Angel Shares unless I can find someone who is selling their Decadence at a reasonable price.
I completely agree with you on the Good Girl line, they smell great on paper, but MAN are they too strong for me. I bought the Legere after having sprayed it on paper, but once I started testing it out on my skin, I got this super bizarre bug spray vibe from it 🤢 also really starting to realize that I’m not a beast mode scent girl, and that one made me realize that, lol.
I love your videos so much! I love your reluctance to let a beautiful fragrance go too because I'm indecisive sometimes as well! I have learned though to keep a beloved perfume I once really loved just to smell and relive the memory of that time. So glad l kept the original vintage Valentino, Nina and Y. They were classic beauties!
I decluttered the original good girl and my little girl would always spray my remaining sample on her clothes. I could always smell her walking past, the projection is amazing! And everywhere she goes people would tell me, omg your daughter smells SO GOOD it must be your perfume! Eventually I brought back the OG because i was really missing it. I agree the opening was off putting for me too, always prickling my nose. But it’s gorgeous in the drydown and it’s my secret weapon! I have grown into the cologne vibe of the OG, my husband occasionally compliments GG too saying i smell sexy.

Oh my heart! Lol the good girl legere is my #1 perfume in my 100 bottle collection. I’ve been getting rid of a lot lately because the bad is taking up space for new good, but I smell that perfume and it always takes me heart. The good girl line is my favorite from any brand I’ve tried. I usually don’t like all from a line but I really enjoy all of them. Maybe try the good girl in a different season and maybe it’ll change your mind. I definitely find myself reach for things depending on the weather so before you get rid of it, maybe a chilly summer day or sticky hot try them and see if there is a difference in what you think, they are definitely a sweet/sexy perfume to smell on someone.
Peony and Blush Suede is my absolute favorite! I have the shower gel, cream (which sadly I just finished the whole jar), oil, and the perfume. It's a beautiful close skin scent and plays well with others perfumes. ❤️
New York Nights has a note, that to me, smells like milk the day before it goes bad. Black Phantom from Killian has it as well. Like a sweet caramel milky coffee left out overnight.
I also thought I preferred the Legere flanker, and didn’t like the original Good Girl, but now I like the original way more actually! Might be worth trying again 😊 But I also agree that it smells better on others “in the air“ vs on myself

I’ve been using BEE for a year now and it’s my signature scent, I love the sweet warm rum smell. But it is definitely an only fall and winter scent so when I try wearing it in the summers it’s just not good

It’s a shame they become skin scents so quickly….but there is something so elegant and refined about JM fragrances. I never really got into designer perfumes….but even smelling some of the testers I’d department stores makes my head reel.

The same thing happened with me and Metallique. You are not alone. I really wanted to love it, but we just didn't get along. I had a mini, bought the full bottle, and never used it. Every time I tried the mini, I seemed to get a headache. Decluttered. :-)

I feel exactly the same with Good Girls, LVEB I love the flankers way more than the original - maybe you’ll find a LVEB flanker you like? The flankers are less strong. LVEB Eclet is very popular. I also love LVEB solei crystal and LVEB Intesement

I have been needing to find the previous formulation of the Valentino Donna! I have a sample but I can't track down the original version. Now it's peachy and the leather is taken out. :-( I can't find anything that compares.

Wow, that’s so interesting that New York Nights smells like banana bread to you bc this was an immediate no for me. It smells to me like nail polish or a nail salon minus all the harsh alcohols. ☠️ Just like you, I looked at the notes and wanted to love it bc I’m on the look out for a new caramel fragrance.
Have you ever tried Good Girl Gone Bad by Kilian? I think you should give it a try, it’s a lovely feminine and pretty perfume 😊 The osmanthus gives it a nice slightly apricot/peachy vibe, and even though there is tuberose in there (and I hate dusty tuberose like the one in Good Girl by Carolina Herrera or Rouge Malachite), I think it’s lovely. Also slightly powdery but in a good way 😉

with TF metalique it feels like they just stick together some notes, and hope it will work and sell as mad. it doesn't. is dusty neroli, projection 30 min puff gone. any of GG shoes don't call my attention, I have sample of og, sprayed on me, sprayed on paper, sprayed on somebody else nope, still nail polish / hair spray vibes. I can't detect any note is just chamical mess🙃 but is me, nothing which is hyped I like 🤣

If you like attrape reves you may like v canto stricnina, xerjoff urba pura or bond 9 Greenwich village.good fruity perfumes.i actually think they are more interesting than attrape reves imho.goodgirl I never was a fan of,I feel like it's just too much for my nose.i don't find it sexy.lveb is not my cup of tea but I like lveb soliel cristal but you have to like coconut,orange blossom plus it's sweet you can wear all year round.❤

Loubirouge is stunning. But I am so upset it doesn’t project just that bit more. For almost $500AUD, these should last longer. I also loved Loubidoo, but didn’t buy the full size because as gorgeous and summery as it is, it lasted an hour, MAXIMUM. Yet to try Loubifunk, looking for my summer staple perfume…the search continues.

La Vie Est Belle smells better in winter, still gorgeous to me, and R.E.M doesn't smell nice on me anymore . The weather,... room temps,...seem to change my perfumes. 🙄

I love only one from NEST HER NEW ONE GOLDEN NECTAR AND IT WON THE FIFI AWARD BY THE FRAGRANCE FOUNDATION. IT IS SO NICE SHE HAS A $33 size. Very nice and I have never liked NEST AT ALL.
It's interesting you talk about fragrances that you loved and really wanted when you tested it and love the idea of having, especially when your talking about the Guerlain and wanting Rose Cherie, because I'm exactly where you are with your Guerlain, only for me i actually have Rose Cherie but i never wear it. I thought i needed it, and it is beautiful. But there's a quality in it that gives me baby wipe vibes, only subtle but it's there. It dries from that to a soft almond and Rose but still it stops me from Ever reaching for it unfortunately. Just wanted to mention that in case you weren't sure about it. 👌🤍

Where do you buy fragrance decants?
Sometimes I believe the sample on many perfumes that we sample is enhanced and then we purchase but it is lighter than the sample.
You will benefit from perfume oils instead of perfume.

Mistique shimmer by Michael kors has a very similar “vibe” to decadence if you like that kind of scent profile :)

I’ve been using BEE for a year now and it’s my signature scent, I love the sweet warm rum smell. But it is definitely an only fall and winter scent so when I try wearing it in the summers it’s just not good
I ❤️ Peony & Blush Suede as well as Wild Blue Bell as well as Jasmine and Mint by Jo Malone. It’s a shame they become skin scents so quickly….but there is something so elegant and refined about JM fragrances.
I never really got into designer perfumes….but even smelling some of the testers I’d department stores makes my head reel.
Have u tried Le Labo? You need to try Another 13. It makes me happy..calm down and just so satisfied. Hard to describe😍 my ultimate home alone fragrance😁
The same thing happened with me and Metallique. You are not alone. I really wanted to love it, but we just didn't get along. I had a mini, bought the full bottle, and never used it. Every time I tried the mini, I seemed to get a headache. Decluttered. :-)
I can relate to waking up to a perfume counter and falling in love than later thinking what was I thinking 🤔 I get into the whole search for the perfect scent and bottle 💓

Oh, I should have updated here; yes I sent that one back. It was really nice but I wasn’t head over heels in love with it and something about one of the floral notes bugged me a bit.

I bought two of the Sol de Janeiro body fragrances and although I use to like the bum bum cream, I just found I’d outgrown them, so they are in my donation bag.
I loved bee but then as my bottle got more old it got extremely medicinal.
It’s still beautiful but the rum seems to turn after a while.

I love Peony and Blush Suede, but wouldn't go about pretending I'm not wearing a perfume. Strangely enough it can be quite strong and projects really decently.
I feel exactly the same with Good Girls, LVEB I love the flankers way more than the original - maybe you’ll find a LVEB flanker you like? The flankers are less strong. LVEB Eclet is very popular. I also love LVEB solei crystal and LVEB Intesement
Yes I’ve tried all of them and honestly I really like most of them but none have become a lifer for me yet. I really like the sweetness of the intensement!
I think fragrances really depends on body chemistry and weather 😢. Keep testing as you can because sometimes like you say things change ☺️
I have been needing to find the previous formulation of the Valentino Donna! I have a sample but I can't track down the original version. Now it's peachy and the leather is taken out. :-( I can't find anything that compares.
I also like both of the Good Girl fragrances you have, but they ALSO bother my nose? Like I have sinus issues. They smell wonderful, but I am unable to wear them lol.

Wow, that’s so interesting that New York Nights smells like banana bread to you bc this was an immediate no for me. It smells to me like nail polish or a nail salon minus all the harsh alcohols. ☠️ Just like you, I looked at the notes and wanted to love it bc I’m on the look out for a new caramel fragrance.
I wish I find a Jo Malone I like because most of then give me headaches. I need to give them a try again.
Have you ever tried Good Girl Gone Bad by Kilian? I think you should give it a try, it’s a lovely feminine and pretty perfume 😊 The osmanthus gives it a nice slightly apricot/peachy vibe, and even though there is tuberose in there (and I hate dusty tuberose like the one in Good Girl by Carolina Herrera or Rouge Malachite), I think it’s lovely. Also slightly powdery but in a good way 😉
I’m with you and the good girl perfumes. I’ve tried them so many times and wanted to like them but… Like you said there’s just something about them that does not agree with me. Great video!

with TF metalique it feels like they just stick together some notes, and hope it will work and sell as mad. it doesn't. is dusty neroli, projection 30 min puff gone.
any of GG shoes don't call my attention, I have sample of og, sprayed on me, sprayed on paper, sprayed on somebody else nope, still nail polish / hair spray vibes. I can't detect any note is just chamical mess🙃 but is me, nothing which is hyped I like 🤣

If you like attrape reves you may like v canto stricnina, xerjoff urba pura or bond 9 Greenwich village.good fruity perfumes.i actually think they are more interesting than attrape reves imho.goodgirl I never was a fan of,I feel like it's just too much for my nose.i don't find it sexy.lveb is not my cup of tea but I like lveb soliel cristal but you have to like coconut,orange blossom plus it's sweet you can wear all year round.❤

Loubirouge is stunning. But I am so upset it doesn’t project just that bit more. For almost $500AUD, these should last longer. I also loved Loubidoo, but didn’t buy the full size because as gorgeous and summery as it is, it lasted an hour, MAXIMUM. Yet to try Loubifunk, looking for my summer staple perfume…the search continues.

I should do a dedicated video. In a nutshell, I think they smell terrific but I don’t enjoy wearing them, a bit too sweet for me.

Like you, I sometimes change my mind after wearing a fragrance for a bit. Like you suggested, my "loves" I can commit to the larger bottle! Great price point!! Gotta love that 🤗💖💝

La Vie Est Belle smells better in winter, still gorgeous to me, and R.E.M doesn't smell nice on me anymore . The weather,... room temps,...seem to change my perfumes. 🙄

I love only one from NEST HER NEW ONE GOLDEN NECTAR AND IT WON THE FIFI AWARD BY THE FRAGRANCE FOUNDATION. IT IS SO NICE SHE HAS A $33 size. Very nice and I have never liked NEST AT ALL.
Decadence just has to be worn in colder months to appreciate it.
Body chemistry would explain why they don’t mesh with your chemistry.
Although I like to smell lveb on other ppl , I cannot wear it myself at all.

It's interesting you talk about fragrances that you loved and really wanted when you tested it and love the idea of having, especially when your talking about the Guerlain and wanting Rose Cherie, because I'm exactly where you are with your Guerlain, only for me i actually have Rose Cherie but i never wear it. I thought i needed it, and it is beautiful. But there's a quality in it that gives me baby wipe vibes, only subtle but it's there. It dries from that to a soft almond and Rose but still it stops me from Ever reaching for it unfortunately. Just wanted to mention that in case you weren't sure about it. 👌🤍
