The one your daughter says reminds her of you… that one you have to keep! For her! Someday she will ask you for that bottle and it may or may not (probably not the way perfumes are discontinued) be available. So that one… keep for her regardless of how you feel about it.
I agree. My second daughter asked me for (her words) “your perfumes”. She moved out of our home & she needed/wanted to take the perfumes that reminded her of me or the days we all lived together. It was Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy, Euphoria Blossom & Versace Bright Crystal. I also gave her Killian’s Love Don’t Be Shy but she gave it back to me bc she didn’t have any memory scent connected to it. I also have a bottle of Jessica Maclintock JMC bc it’s my mom’s signature scent. Every time I miss my mom & just want to “smell her”, I’ll bring the bottle out to smell it and it feels like a warm hug.

A tip for the roller ball. You can very easily pop off the bit that is holding the ball and decant the fragrance into another bottle. I did this with a couple that I had and am so happy I did. =)
I’m normally a silent watcher but wanted to say thank you for going through all of these perfumes! I love hearing your thoughts on different fragrances and also really appreciate how much information you include like which perfumes have been reformulated. I learned that Si was reformulated from you and it has made me cherish my OG bottle even more 😭💖
loved this! I'm a moody person and find myself loving some perfumes one day, and the next finding something that bothers me about them, which makes me go on a decluttering frenzy 😆, then I totally end up regretting some and so the cycles restarts. All in all I take it in lightheartedly becuase fragrances are like moods they're ever changing and that's OK. loved watching your thought process 😉

I have really noticed how often she changes her mind on fragrances, a while ago I decided not to get black opium because she said it was just too generic and basic, then I decided to try it at the counter and bought it anyway only to come across another of her videos where she raves about it lol 😂 I don’t take her advise anymore 😂😂

Some of these fragrances for example, Girl of Now, Delina Exclusif etc, I don’t even go near in Spring/Summer. They sit at the back of my cupboard until it’s really cold outside and then I will take them out and wear them. So what I am trying to say, is hold off until November and if you still don’t like/wear it, get rid of it then. Some people will disagree and will wear their fragrances year round, but I am not one of those. Wearing Girl of Now in Summer will completely ruin that fragrance for me. Don’t be too hasty 😜
I totally agree with this. I have been a bit too quick on the trigger getting rid of fragrances that I only reach for during certain seasons.
My hormonal shifts definitely change how I smell my perfumes! It happens to me, too.
Just 5 days ago you mentioned Narcisco Poudree & said it was really good & that you were happy to have it back. That video convinced me to want to get it lol now it’s in the decluttering pile 🤦🏻♀️
FWIW Narciso Poudree is my favorite of all the Narciso perfumes. Good performance on top of a super pretty scent. Very much everyday type of vibes.
I like this channel but it really encourages that faux minimalist lifestyle . Her consumption is probably way more than the average person with cycle of constant decluttering. That’s absolutely fine I’m not criticising that but people who watch her need to understand that a minimalist aesthetic not a minimalist lifestyle
She obviously only showed it because she got it as a gift from Fragrance Buy. What is deceiving is that she pretended to be glad to have it back in her collection, suggesting it is worth keeping it in her collection, thus selling it to the unsuspecting viewer, just to declutter it shortly after. Buying, receiving, selling, decluttering - repeat. Don't fall into the trap, influencers just doing what they are supposed to do: influencing, making $. And calling this a minimalistic approach is just making a fool of the viewers.
It goes to show you its all about the hype!!!!! LOL
This is why I unsubscribed from this channel. I'm trying to give it another chance but it's still the same that you and others in the replies listed. As well, describing a perfume as really beautiful and having a good performance yet not using it/decluttering it is so contradicting and hints to the lack of the level of honesty we subscribers expect.
Whatever you're doing, I love your videos........ the tidyness, aesthetic, nails, the sight of perfume bottles and the kitty 😺😽
The ones that you’re not sure about just put in a box and put them away for 6 months. Then take them out again after the 6 months and see how you feel about them. That way, they won’t be cluttering up your glass shelves. What I do is put all the ones that I will wear in the winter away in a box until it’s time to wear them again. Then when it’s fall and winter I will do the same with my summer fragrances. You had so many beautiful ones in there that I absolutely love.

I don't really get it, maybe it's a cultural thing but I feel like you "love" a lot of perfumes and find them "absolutely stunning" and then you add "but there is smg about it that's just not for me" or you get rid of them. Then the videos of you saying they're amazing are just useless, or totally misleading.
Thank you for a great video!❤ At one point I had 33 perfumes in my collection and for me personally it was overkill))) I struggled to decide what to wear and felt like I would never use them up. Now my collection is around 26 full size bottles and it is way more manageable. I sold some and used some up. And I enjoy the rest so much more! My goal is to have less and wear the best perfumes every single day! Lots of love from Belarus 🤗😍

Ooh, this was a fun video! Just FYI I love your longer videos…I usually put on my earbuds and listen while I do housework or walk on the treadmill.
I mean no disrespect here I just find there’s an interesting disconnect between the minimalist claims and all the collections compete. I also find it strange to love a fragrance and needing backups of it cause of fear of never having it again once it’s gone when there’s chances you never use up any of your fragrances.
I get what you’re saying Sarah. The fragrance rabbit hole (or collecting anything really) is a slippery slope sometimes.
EVERY TIME I watch one of her videos I get soo confused by her claims of minimalism lol I think she’s more like a hoarder in denial.
She’s to neat and tidy to be a hoarder she’s a collector nothing wrong with that. I’m just like why part with something you absolutely love just because it’s discontinued. I learned a long time ago that makeup and fragrances have a shelf life and nobody will pan a lipstick and tastes change.
Don’t even wear fragrances much and her collection is hundreds of bottles
@@SuperSarahbop I think her claims of being a minimalist are the confusion factor, just because she shoves things in boxes under her bed so they’re out of sight doesn’t make her a minimalist. I stand by what I said, she’s a hoarder in denial.
@raspberryswirl2004, if I’m a hoarder I’m a strange one as I don’t allow newspapers or flyers and I only have four forks. Also no shelves or furniture in my livingroom aside from the sofa. What’s happened is I’ve developed a hobby (thank god, didn’t have any before), not to mention side hustle which centres around perfume. One day, I will choose only a few fragrances and say goodbye to the rest. Mark my words 😂
Your method totally makes sense to me. I’ve only got a few perfumes but I know if I had more it would get overwhelming and I’d want my favorite favorites out and accessible. 💜 don’t worry about justifying what works for you ;)
I can’t get into the Delina scents. I’ve tried so many times. To me they’re awful. Keep Vanilla Woods and Decadence!
I loved this video! And I’m so much like you and my tastes have changed. I feel so wasteful not using perfume up. The more I smell different perfumes, I find I’m pretty basic and don’t need such a specific time/place perfume.
This was fun to watch! I had the Delicious cotton candy bc I was curious. But I can't stomach it .

Oh noo she skipped the commentary on cheirosa 40, that’s one of my faves! Was also so pleasantly surprised vanilla woods made it back- to me cheirosa 40 is a spot on dupe of vanilla woods but it’s even sweeter and longer lasting so I stuck with the cheirosa 40 instead of buying the vanilla woods. Was considering the nest Madagascar vanilla for layering it though. Great video!!

Perfume is such a personal expression. I love to pick a specific perfume of the day! It’s definitely a mood thing for me🤍 I also love how you have such a soothing presence which is calming to your viewers💗
You can just “use it up” by using it as a room spray
I like the idea if putting away a perfume you are not loving away. If you miss it, then it’s meant to be else declutter it. Brilliant! I am gonna use the idea for my collection.
I love both EDP and EDT of Crystal Noir-they always result in compliments from my husband!
I feel you, i only have like fifteen perfumes and sometimes i get overwelmed, so i put only like five or six perfumes on a tray, and keep others inside the drawer.
I find these declutter/organization videos super entertaining

I’m with you about orange blossom! It really bugs me when it’s in high concentrations. I also find myself struggling with Delina especially in the high heat. I’m really appreciating lighter fragrances now, but I’m not sure if it will continue so I’m not ready to declutter.
I really love your videos and the way you talk. Maybe consider condensing the introduction a little bit. It took over 8 minutes before you actually started talking about the perfumes.
A pattern I find in watching your videos is that you tend to let go of your niche and more costly high end designer fragrances. The easy wearing, sweet or floral designers seem to be your preference. Perhaps revisit your darker richer fragrances in the cooler winter months and avoid those niche fragrances from now on?
Thank you for this video! I love hearing about why perfumes don’t work out for people, I guess because it’s so relatable. It’s nice to hear you describe your thoughts and process of deciding. I also consider myself quite minimalist in most areas of my life (I also have only one eyeshadow palette and one foundation!) but I adore perfumes and handbags and also keep my personal perfume collection separate from those I plan to sell. To each their own! Ignore the lame comments- your videos bring so much joy!
You should have a tote or basket for "seasonal" and archived fragrances, so you can revisit them and not actually get rid if it.

Hi Ilythia, interesting comments and I go through some of the same thinking. Also, due to the 4seasons we really do have here in Chicago, I will like certain perfumes on Spring days but not want to wear them at all in the fall or winter, for example.

Great collection! I would keep the ones you're not completely sure about. I gave so many bottles to my mother-in-law that I regret giving to her. So be sure because if they get discontinued that will cost so much more if you try to find them again! :) I still regret giving my Catherine Deneuve away...
I wish I could find Deneuve. My best friend in college wore it and I remember how good it smelled.
I have the same way of organizing my perfumes! When I see my entire collection I get stressed out, so I only have out my favorites and keep my maybe pile separate to revisit them later. If I don’t pull for them within half a year, I declutter them.

You ever think about spraying the headache perfumes lower? Like at the waist? So youre not stuck in a cloud but still get whiffs

I get Alien Essence Absolue when I mix Alien with Boss The Scent for Her Absolute.
Don't declutter pink couture until you wear it around men lol. I was on the same page until I went to a family party and literally every guy complimented me. And then my boyfriend showed up and was like...what are you wearing it smells so sexy. And since then I've worn it a bunch and it always always gets compliments
Some days just want to start my entire collection over. Like I go from loving to can’t standing some perfumes in my collection. I wish I could just love a few and not need anymore perfumes. Darn addiction lol
I have an extra bottle of the Armani Si original formulation! I would ne happy to send it to you so you can compare the two on your channel! And enjoy the original formulation. The original is anything made in 2017 and prior. They Reformulated in 2018, so 2017 and prior are safe bets on being the original formulation. Its divine!!!

I wore Burberry Brit Rhythm twice this month and loved how I smelled all day, both times. (The lotion is not good).

I love Oriana. It smells to me like a Dior Poison that I actually like! I get the playdoh but in Oriana it smells good - ditto the almond. I don’t even know if almond is an official note and I’ve never heard anyone else make this comparison 🤷♀️
Is it just me or does Julianna’s Perfumes have an odd smell to them? When I bought some and I tested it I swore all the scents had a musky, animalic quality to it. I wasn’t a fan of any of them.
I’m not a fan either. For some reason when I try to wear them I get a really awful chemical taste in my mouth. I know that sounds bizarre but it’s true!

I also am not sure about Coco Noir, it smells a bit like an old lady for me and i am not sure if it went bad (because i bought it from someone else).
Why not have your boyfriend actually wear bleu turquoise if you’d like to smell it on him? Does he not like it? I have a few women’s perfumes I’ve given to my boyfriend, and he loves them and even gets compliments. Plus it’s basically a unisex bottle design

I don't like tuberosa, because it's too sweet, bubble gummy and "green" and sometimes orange blossom does that same, it just too much.

I am not a big Delina fan because of the incense.. it’s fun and I feel I need to keep it but I just…don’t grab for it ever.

Same here, I find la vie est belle too strong to my liking. I think I'm a kind of person who loves perfumes like the vibe of Chloe lines, miss dior blooming boquet, versace bright crystal, un jardin sur le nil something like floral, watery, fresh but i love my vanilla dominant perfumes such as mfk gentle fluidity gold and viktor and rolf flowerbomb. Hermes Un jardin sur le nil to me has an amazing watery fresh garden floral smell.

You are not unlike most of us. If we don't wear or like what to do? But it smells soo good on 10th smell again. I have the same issue.

I hear the new bottle of Note Vanille is much less boozy because the formula has changed. You may want to look into Celine Reptile to replace Bleu Turquoise. It reminds me of that one but more feminine and definitely more wearable.

I'm also not really a fan of the Tiziana Terenzi perfumes! I thought I must be crazy because everyone seems obsessed with them but I just...can't. I can't get behind them I don't know why, it just seems off to my nose.
I have tried a handful and the only one I ended up with is Cassiopea. If you haven't tried it, do so. It's not nearly as strong as most of them.

Elie Saab G.O.N smells great in winter. Only a tiny spritz on one wrist, La Vie Est Belle is $150 here in Australia, and it also smells better in winter.
Omg same happened to me when I bought can can a long time ago.... I sprayed it in the air and thought WOW this is nice...I wore it a few days later and when it dried down I just hated it!!! I decluttered that one right after lol

And yes hormones definitely play a role on your moodinesses when it comes to perfume . When I was pregnant I didn’t like 90 percent of my perfumes
When I was in my 20s I could only do citrus and aquatic
In my thirties I couldn’t stand them
In my forties most of my collection smell completely different on me
The stronger hard to wear perfumes smell rounder to my nose and the easy breezy perfumes are just blah and I can’t smell them at all after 30 minutes

Britney Spears perfume has been reformulated and doesn't smell like the original. Keep it if you love it because the original formula is gone.
