BTW I see you are a cyclist also - I am now in Davis, CA (with plans to travel to Thailand/Philippines soon) but spent many years cycling out of New York City and still have cycling connections there if you ever visit. No doubt you are familiar with Strava and some of the Garmin features which allow live tracking also but I guess not possible to easily incorporate in IRL stream.
