I had a Fulkerson's osteotomy on my left knee resulting in damage to my peroneal nerve. So neuropathy. I kicked a solid wood door after a fight with my mom. Prior to that, having jobs where I'm always on my feet on hard surfaces. Not too bad when you get to walk around a lot, but then I took a job that required standing in one place for crazy long periods. Hours. My foot hurt like you wouldn't believe. Mind-bending pain. I couldn't find shoes that fit the swelling. I thought it was a metatarsal, the swelling was all on top. Went to primary care, x-ray didn't show anything he would have recognized, thought I was a junkie trying to score pain meds. Eventually I ended up in hospital with an infection in an ulcer. Was told no weight bearing. (This was when everything shut down when COVID first hit.) But my mom was sick and decided she couldn't walk either. Then a month after I got out of the hospital, she died. I had to take care of everything, and couldn't really do it without walking. I was truly unable to take a couple of months bed rest. Eventually I did develop osteomyelitis and had 6 weeks of IV antibiotics, had to go to a SNF. Now I'm in a wheelchair. I wish that primary had sent me to a specialist. But all he heard was pain, and all he saw was drug-seeking. I haven't walked in about half a year. Like really walk, I've teetered from A to B, but I can't walk my dog at sunrise to watch the birds. Can't do an art crawl. With everything else I've developed type 2 diabetes (so many antibiotics, no exercise, pain, stress, my gut microbiome is shot, etc.) I really don't know what's left for me 😞
I'm 43 years old and my life is over

I will pray for you . Stay strong. It sounds like what you’ve been through is a never ending nightmare but there’s is light somewhere, I promise.

FYI doc. I have had 3 doctors say keep the wound clean with a spray of water and peroxide. This keeps it wet and it won't heal. Use Betadine solution and let it dry . Do this till it is well.

I was told that keeping my feet dry is imperative.I wear bags over them when I shower.

Great explanation. Fortunately my foot is still intact. Still offloading it.

Kudos for the Video! Apologies for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Taparton Sturdy Nerves Takeover (should be on google have a look)? It is an awesome exclusive product for Getting rid of Neuropathy minus the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin at very last got cool results with it.
