I backed the KS and just recently started painting the minis. They're awesome and I very much like the ethos behind the team. They are crediting every single sculptor/painter/writer/artist and encouraging kitbashing and creativity. A breath of fresh air.
So glad you’re into Trench Crusade. I’m sure you’ll have several other comments saying the same thing but the red armored trooper you found is part of an official mercenary warband called “The Red Brigade” designed by Westphalia Miniatures and will be released in their Kickstarter in January
I very much enjoyed your Video on Trench Crusade. I think your paint scheme is awesome. I only discovered this Kickstarter in November and thought I missed it. However, I was able to jump on it via Backer Kit. I love the sculpts in the Court of the Seven Headed Serpent. Go Hell Knight's Go.
didn't want to pester you about it but I was really hoping you'd hear about and get into Trench Crusade! Can't wait to see what else you paint up for it
Thanks for saying that about the Blanchitsu style, it’s refreshing to hear. Derry girls was my introduction to Irish culture. I understand the faux pas.
Interesting stuff - never heard of it until a couple of mates at the gaming club started getting severely titillated about it .... looked at the kickstarter and nearly fainted, so I reckon there's a lot of promise in this, so would love you to get deeper into it.
The Warband I had chosen long before the big recent kickstarter were the Trench Pilgrims. Honestly, the Stigmatic Nuns drew me in. As a Sisters player, nun design in fantasy/scifi settings enjoyer...I love the idea behind them. The Anchorite Shrine looks epic, and the faction being zealots fighting the good fight against Hell is awesome. I almost went New Antioch, to be fair. Getting them printed and hopefully will start painting soon.
/looks at Andy in West of Scotland Can't fault the paint work, excellent as usual (Though once the black goes on, maybe the scheme heads to the "tangerine and blsck" of Dundee Utd)
I got in because I was following Mike's art, a game designed by Tuomas was just a bonus. I started by kitbashing my own Heretics from WWI and Fantasy kits... but I ended up backing for 4 other warbands. I'm currently knee-deep in planning a terrain board which I'll be working on with my mum!
Looks good, I've been vaguely aware of Trench Crusade but wasn't going to look further, but your content always piques my interest in things, so guess that's my new thing for 2025 lol
The red armored guy with a dog you liked so much is actually the preview mini from the upcoming "Red Brigade" Kickstarter campaign. It's a licensed third party miniature pack for Trench Crusade. The story behind the Red Brigade is that they are elite troopers of New Antioch who operate deep behind enemy lines and voluntarily accept suicide missions. Their red gear symbolises the blood of their fallen comrades (and in fact it is the gear used by them, redistributed to the living members of the unit).
@MediocreHobbies Yes, it is. I am really looking forward to the Kickstarter campaign. Sure, this is a mini agnostic game, but at the same time the red brigade looks so cool that it would be a shame not to buy the official minis for it.
You should buy some war games Atlantic minis and convert! Knights and ww1 and kit bash! Lovely paint scheme! Shield looks like a big slab of rusted iron. Also Welshman here, I got the orange joke🤣
Nice work really like the look. wish I had paid more attn when Kicking it, got on physical and one digital crew. I did not realize I should have got both factions in digital.
That colour scheme absolutely slaps (as the kids say….do they? I have no idea really..) . That faux is made me laugh. Love all this Trench Crusade stuff, it’s gonna be a plastic kit bash marathon for me.
Great Mintaure and great painting job:) Thank to you iv started usung contrast paints and i love them now.now i i need to find somoen in mine country whi print this Trench dudes...:)
Ok Andy, you are turning into my source on new hobby material! I'd never heard of this. Um, but if the Templars are the heretics, should you really have used a (Black) Templar cross on him? Doesn't that make him actually a heretic? Lots of fun as always😁
I went with first the Black Grail, because of the Plague Knight looking fantastic as a model. And then I did a learning game using the heretic legion, and discovered how much fun their basic rules are. So now I have to warbands.
Would love to see you mod up an Eire Rangers warband faction alternative for New Antioch. The lore they have in the book sounds very cool and gives you the chance to paint an Irish warband for a game 😜
I'm leaning toward court of the seven headed serpent for my first warband, I've got all the files and will be dragging my friends kicking and screaming into hell. (HA PUN INTENDED)
I've gone elbows deep into the trench crusade lore, it's brilliantly dark so far. I've got the Black Grail set via kickstarter, as I love the organic, plague ridden flesh on show for painting, but I'm kinda wishing I went for New Antioch, I'm digging their lore and look. Tbh, most of the factions all have their plus points.
I really wanted to get some of the Iron Sultinate. I love the basic line infantry (Azebs). I liked them mostly because you rarely see the middle east portrayed positively in miniatures. I probably will never get into it though as I don't really buy miniatures unless I play the game and my group play Infinity (which is so good it's ruined most skirmish games for me!).
You can be forgiven for liking orange and black, but then you painted the puttees tan 😅 I kitbashed some trench prilgrims from Citadel parts, now just need to find someone to play with
Great video! I initially backed the kickstarter just for the Rulebook, as I love kitbashing up my own units. But then a couple of my friends became interested and I ended up having to add the Trench Pilgrim and Iron Sultanate packs to my pledge for them to use 😅 At the moment I’ve kitbashed most of my own Pilgrim warband; and I have plans for a Trench Ghosts warband (a variant on Heretic Legions where they’re trapped in limbo and haunt the trenches)
Also I couldn't choose so I got all of them. Favorites are Iron Sultanate and Court of the Seven Headed Serpent. Just both have fantastic and unique designs
not sure if its been mentioned in the comments yet but there is an irish faction within the rules for trench crusade. eire rangers i think, not 100% without the rules infront of me =)
I was looking forward to TC, but after the whole Discord controversy, I've lost faith in the people running this IP. The miniatures still looks great though.. oh well.
@@AngryAcolyte You must be referring to something completely different. I'm talking about the devs banning anti-woke. If they are willing to do that, when who knows what else might be in store for the future.

I love it. Got my court warband printed. Sultanate next.
Absolutely gorgeous Andy, looking forward to seeing more of these.
I didn’t get a full warband but I did order a few models that caught my eye. I’d really love to see you paint up the artillery witch!

Love to see more attention for TC! So hyped to paint these minis!
I will be starting with the Penitent Crusade from Bestiarum. The Grimdark Compendium did videos on two of their miniatures.
Those minis have a terrific anesthetic. I like them. I need to find out more about Trench Crusade apparently.

Glad to see you trying out TC! What terrain set is that? Is it one complete set or multiple sets pieced together? Thanks!
It’s the terrain from Kill Team Hivestorm and Brutal and Cunning together!
Definitely looking forward to painting the Red Brigade faction.
Loving Trench Crusade and glad to see you doing some content around it. Cheers!
Love it - I somehow knew it would be orange! Have a great Xmas!
This is fantastic I'm exactly in the same place with TC so massively inspiring!
Great, looking forward to seeing your drummer and pipe section 😂
Can't wait for my minis to arrive from the Kickstarter!
I saw trench crusade and jumped in, want to get my hands on some minis. I subscribed and will be looking forward to some more. Thanks

AWESOME ❤ MORE PLEASE 😂AND MORE KRIEG 😂THANK YOU !
Your Antoch Warband can provide parts for your Kreig army. 😀
Maybe even Steel Legion too ! ! ! 👍
Looks good
I'd love to see a battle report of trench crusade! Please do it
Finally, some Trench Time!
Funny you mentioned the Blanchitsu style, them choose orange which is actually part of the Zorn pallette. 😅 Fantastic looking mini!

Trench Pilgrims are the way :)
You might also check out the Grim Guard trench system for a ready to make environment.

lol the mention orange and irish had me in stiches
Yes, finally! More TC is more better ' and you already have plenty of Krieg Tanks to use as Scenery as well :) Battle of the Car Park, here we go...

Been hearing about trench crusade. But haven’t looked into it. If I did I would be the bad guy. I like the idea of fighting against the good guys.

I wanted to get some but shipping with Import tax is to expensiv and i dont have a printer
You don’t need to get these models, it’s an miniature agnostic game, you can use anything for it
I'm interested in play. But I'll likely be kitbashing a lot of what I play with.
Yeah it is still a miniature agnostic game so I'm excited to see what creations people come to the table with!
As for me, I would have painted the sheild white, just saying.
I really love seeing non-Warhammer content.
I thought you said the templars were to blame for Jerusalem, so why is this guy getting a templar cross?
I never said I was a smart man
Knightly orders still exist in the current time line. They aren’t fully trusted and the Church keeps them on a short leash.
That's a Maltese Cross, not the cross used by the Knights Templar, so it's good
Just claim he found it in the rubble and needed a shield 😂 ,,, as soon as I saw the decal I had heretical vibes going on
The end result looks more brown than orange so maybe you shouldn’t be so worried about losing people
im looking at getting a resin printer almost solely for this game. its got a chokehold on me at this point
If you're in the Dublin Gamers Guild group on FB I'm gonna try organise a campaign to start in the new year if you're up for it?

Aesthetic is great, but 600+ bucks for all digital files and rulebooks? Sure Jan...
it was 399 for the all digital bundle. 666 for the files and all the physical models
