Is it sometimes hard for you or your students to improvise and be spontaneous in your Aikido training?
Is it sometimes hard for you or your students to improvise and be spontaneous in your Aikido training? Do you or your students sometimes get stuck in a routine?
In today’s video, I’m going to share a clip from a seminar I did back in 2018 with some of my sempai from Japan.
I enter as if I’m going to do Iriminage, but then I turn the opposite way that I would to do Iriminage. I just find it to be a really fun technique. And it helps my students keep a flexible and open mind.
    Let’s check it out.

Loved the reverse turn. Very nice reminder about the spaciousness of aikido. Thanks, Lia Sensei.

Aikido is a lovely art of making someone fall over, make a video of an actual aggressor with body mass and aggressiveness that actually wants to attack you, someone that just doesn’t “wait” to fall over

It is interesting that you pivot that way. It gives me an idea for series of lazy Aikido techniques in my channel. Thanks!
