I had this problem on a 2003 Honda Accord ex v6 AT. Symptoms were Radio, and Dashlights would turn off while driving followed by car stalling for a split second. Headlights would dim or get brighter on acceleration and deceleration like the car is starving for electrons from the alternator (or serpentine belt loose?). The code came up P0685 on a blue driver. The solution so far: 1) Checked the relays under the driver's side. EI main, IG coil, and since I was there Fuel pump. Took them off. Cut a regular house light wire. Somewhat held the relay end to the battery under the hood (Caution the relay is not protected anymore from the fuse box). I heard the relay click, concluding relay was good. 2) Cleaned the grounding wire surfaces around the engine bay from the black and white pictures I referenced on forums. The reference below is the Driver side/Passenger side instead of left and right. Battery negative to Car wall (driver side), Car wall to Transmission (under air filter driver side), Battery positive harness traced to the throttle body (2 small wires)(driver side engine side), Battery positive harness traced to a bracket power steering pump/injectors (Passenger side on the engine), Motor mount to car wall Passenger side near the serpentine belt. 3) After cleaning the grounds and checking the voltage on the battery and alternator the code is gone. The battery grounds are referenced (C101, C102 etc on forums) 4) I got another code for the throttle body P2101. That was because I took the air filter housing off to get at the Grounded wire transmission to the car body. I probably should have cleaned the throttle body but didn't. I'll clean it next weekend. hopefully, that will get rid of the code.

For example : Multi Port-Fuel Injection or MPFI, specifically these ones ( 3.1 Multi Port FI ) which were visible badges on side fenders of old GM cars from the early to mid 90's cars with the 3.1L V6 motors, such as the Chevy Cavalier Z24.
@@RBTheMechanic thanks for the response🙏 Was there a specific reason that you needed to replace all 3 relays instead of just the one controlling the ECM? I plan on replacing all 3 on my vehicle, I’m just curious if it was because it needed to be done or if It was preventative maintenance because those relays usually go bad at the same time or something?

I'm experiencing a similar issue and I have a P0685 code as well. I replaced the F1 main and ignition coil relays as indicated in the diagram at the end of the video, but not the fuel pump relay. I'm still having issues where the car will decide to stop working for a brief moment while driving and it seems like the whole electrical system just shuts down. Sometimes it happens when I'm driving down the highway and I try to roll down my windows using the power window switches, at which point the power drains and everything starts to shut off and as soon as I release the switches, everything starts to recover. Today, I drove my car and parked it somewhere and came back 15 min later to turn it on and nothing. The car wouldn't respond to my key fob attempting to unlock it. I got not auxiliary power when I initially turned the key. No lights, no ignition nothing. It's as if the battery were disconnected, which it's not. I was going to tow it, but came back an hour later and everything worked fine as normal. Do you think replacing the fuel pump relay also may remedy this? If so why? Thanks for your video. It was very helpful.
I WOULD SUGGUEST TO REPLACE BATTERY AND CHECK AND MAKE SURE SECURE CONNECTION ON BATTERY TERMINALS ALSO CLEAN OFF ALL CORROSION FOLLOW THE GROUND CABLE IT SHOULD BE BOLTED ON TO THE CAR BODY NEAR THE BATTERY WITH 10MM BOLT TAKE THAT OFF CLEAN THE SURFACE IF THE GROUND CABLE LOOKS BAD JUST REPLACE IT

This is a great video that was extremely informative.. but please stop calling it F1; it's FI. PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection).
oops will keep that in mind F1 is on mind because I always wanted to join air force after high school and F1 jet is the best
Thank you.
It the same real mechanics all know
Sometimes the lowercase letter l can look like a number one.
Are both of the brown replays the exact same part? 39794-SDA-902?
I think so
@@RBTheMechanic thanks for the response🙏 Was there a specific reason that you needed to replace all 3 relays instead of just the one controlling the ECM? I plan on replacing all 3 on my vehicle, I’m just curious if it was because it needed to be done or if It was preventative maintenance because those relays usually go bad at the same time or something?

Hey wassup I was having the same problem I change all 3 relay and my car still be turn off and back on while driving smh I had that code any suggestions
same here
My speed sensor caused this issue on my car. I unplugged it now it runs but yk.
And just to clarify, I have a 06 Honda Accord.
