Crafting is fun, you can make nice gloves early on once you start finding flawless and perfect gems. I plan on making some Blood Gloves for my Pally and Hit Power Gloves for my Amazon once I find more time to play.
These new guide videos are simply incredible. As a casual but very dedicated fan of D2 (went to a midnight launch back in the day) there's so much I didn't know about the game. Lots of love for all this effort, Mr. Llama, S.C.
In case someone's already wondering: the affix for blood gloves with +2 to skills = ilvl 40 and +20 increased attack speed = ilvl 43. So if you gamble for heavy gloves to use for crafting after, make sure your character level is at least clvl 44 and 46 respectively. So clvl 46 is what you need to be to craft with the highest chance to get both affixes on your gloves ánd avoid higher affixes (that require higher clvls) to roll. Good luck!
@@JukeboxOddities you have to craft blood gloves, use a level 82 character to gamble and craft sharkskin and vampirebone gloves, heavy gloves are different and tbh not worth crafting anyway.

I sometimes crafted safety javelins in the past for my amozons if I started a ladder with that class and needed something intermediate before a Titan's dropped. You only really needed to roll Javelin levels, stack size and attack speed were a bonus.
Watching in 2x speed faster cast rate starts to sound like faster castrate. 20ish years ago when I first got into crafting (blood rings mostly), I was looking to trade for 40 rubies/sol runes ect. since that seemed to be the common amount. It took my first trade to realize that the number was set at 40 because that is the amount of space you have in your inventory. It took me two trips to my stash before being able to clear my inventory enough to complete that first trade. Once for charms, and misc items, but still couldn't complete trade, had to put cube in stash so inventory was completely empty, then could complete the trade. It was an epiphany for me to realize why the amount was set at 40 🤦🤯.
One day I saw on a random item selling site, which I like to look at every blue moon and all of their crafting packs came with junk facets as the jewel. This started me wondering, so I bought a handful of them to try and craft with... Crafting with facets made the godliest items I've ever made or even came close to making.. rare jewels don't seem to be any different from magic ones but there's something about facets that makes them easily the best possible jewels to craft with

It works, but there aren't any socketable items that give life leech. Not even jewels can give life leech. And the base amount of life leech on blood helms is not high enough for it to be worth it. DS armets (blood helm) can be godly for zealots with visionary, high ed and 2 sockets
