I am really glad that finally you have a PR Racing brand rc in your channel to review. It will definitely help to introduce the product to more entusiast. I made the "leap" to PR Racing about 3 or 4 years ago and so far had 5 kits from them [have not replace any parts yet], you'll not be disappointed.
I'm the same too! I took the plunge with them only over the last 18months, and I've not looked back at all! Amazing quality, how they assemble, no fettling needed at all, like Serpent everything just snicks together during assembly. I first bought the V3TR Pro, and from just doing the first few steps and rummaging through the kit I could tell it was going to be good. That immediately had my appreciation for PR. Then I picked up the SB401R which I race indoors on carpet, you'd swear it was running on rails. Then the S1V3 Evo R came along which I also race indoors. They are amazing kits and certainly need to be exposed more and made readily available in the UK.
Tyre sponges serving a dual purpose - they're quite effective packing materials it turns out!
Love how it has the front shocks mouted behind the shock tower to lower the center of gravity. Pioneered by Team Associated!

This looks great. I am loving the modern retro cars. It does have a higher sticker price than other cars in its range, but the quality is it there when you consider the metal parts. Little things like having the manual in a plastic cover/folder is a nice touch. Overall, this car looks like a great value. This company has definitely come out of the gate swinging. Thanks for the video.
I'm going to pick one of these up. We race on outdoor dirt at my local track. Associated with the layback trans does fine, but I want to try a rear motor. I think this is the one to try.
Quality is good, nice plastics and a mix of modern and vintage design all rolled into one. Easy build as well.

Hi Gavin! Completely agree with you on the Dirt Master and Genova. They maybe cheaper initially, but start adding some options to them to bring them up to the S1 RM spec and they soon become more expensive. The S1 RM is a quality piece of kit and for the price, a real bargain! (especially in the US).
I think you'll be even more impressed when you've got it built. It goes together nicely and I'm really liking mine. I look forward to seeing your finished build. It would be great to see it running on your local track. With the right tires and some suitable oil in the shocks, I think it would do really well. 👍

Gavin stop nit picking, it’s vintage looking remember, and there’s nothing wrong with plastic if they are made right. It looks like a very good quality buggy though, and I’m still having a blast with the dirt master, the cheapest of the three so far. Nice unboxing video look forward to seeing the build 😊

Very smart kit! Bit of an aside comment regarding the body style... I love the "vintage" style body and it makes me instantly wonder why the cab forward bodies have become the standard. Regardless of whether they shave seconds off lap times, what if the major brands (Associated, Kyosho, TLR, Schumacher, etc.) just went back to rear cab bodies? Why would it matter if the "retro" bodies were a tad slower since everyone would be using them so everything would be fair play? Anyhoo, thank you for another great video and excited to see the build & run. Thumbs up!
People that want to win would just buy after Market front cab ... I agree front cab is ugly
I would use the stickers as masks and then it can be painted in any colour and you wont scratch the stickers out on the track as its all paint.
That looks and sounds like a good bargain, considering all the upgraded parts it comes with compared to its competitors.

It's a very nice 2WD, thanks for the box review. One thing though, I'm 99% sure the Dirt Master has an aluminium motor mount 🧐 Now, let's see the build 😊
To be honest, the PR S1 Rm looks like a better quality kit than the other 2. Yeah, it's a bit more expensive initially, but you're getting 'upgrades' in the kit, which pushes the price of the other 2 much higher. My big question, for all 3 kits, is this: what's the spares and upgrades availability like? It's no good buying one then finding out that you can only get spares or upgrades from the USA or Japan. Personally, I'd probably go with the PR S1 RM, although at £189 the Dirt Master is tempting....
Currently it’s looking like all three are a pain for parts but the PR Racing will become the easiest in the next month.
It's nice to see new RC stuff coming out, but they really need to import it into the UK properly without gouging the public. It's just the same, as it was back in the 80s, when you couldn't get RC-10 stuff for love-nor-money because there were no importers. Come on companies, the UK loves RC stuff just as much as America.
