Clams cooked in freshly ground coconut based tangy masala.
Cockles/Clams or Khubbe in Konkani are a popular type of edible shellfish in Mangalore. They are available in 3 varieties ie. Khubbe,Tisre or Kalva. They are collected by raking them from the sands at low tide.
CLAMS MASALA.
Ingredients :
Dry chili 10
Coriander Seeds
methi ( Fenugreek )
sasav ( Mustard )
1/2 spoon pepper
1 onion
grated coconut
garlic
1/2 spoon garam masala
Turmeric power
drum sticks
potato
