Listening to this in '23 and thinking .. So the current Marvel Screwups are just that the "process" does not work anymore .. In the whole production of the MCU .. there never was a script .. all this credit that Kevin Feige gest for planning and preparation is just BS

Odin's beard is exempt from MCU beard war because, it would be like Zeus participating in the Olympics or Alfred Nobel giving himself the Nobel Prize.
Shaun O'Neill he also got rich off the invention of dynamite and the modern bullet. He then proceeded to creat the Nobel prize when he found out he was dying (because of all the dangerous chemicals he worked with) so that people would remember his name as something good.

When his brother died, an obituary was released about Alfred Nobel by mistake, Nobel read it, and essentially decided to create the Nobel Prizes so that he would have a better legacy. Let's face it, you'd probably want to change your reputation if you became known as the Merchant of Death.

etherious natsu dragneel Agreed. The wonderful thing about comic books and their movie adaptations is they allow for anything to happen, including bringing back dead characters. However over in the real world, I’m 99% sure it won’t happen at least for a long time. I’m very sure I remember hearing that RDJ thinks Endgame was the perfect ending for his character and he wants to act in other roles besides Iron Man and now he can. I do believe he said he was willing to come back for cameos, I’m assuming because a cameo role wouldn’t put him in a contract or conflict with his schedule for other films so he could still work on whatever he wanted.
Edit: I’m not gonna go searching for it but I’m pretty sure it was the JRE podcast with RDJ that talked about it, if you’d like some backup for what I said.

The repeat of it in Endgame was also improvised. It wasn't in the original script or take, they came up with it shortly before reshoots.

Tony does try to use the "wrist laser" in Avengers one but the levianthans amour is too thick according to Jarvis
Also in Spider-Man Homecoming, he uses a less powerful wrist beam to weld the boat back together.
Again in A1 in fixing the Helicarrier. The fight in the silo with Cap and Bucky for Civil War. And in Infinity War, and i think the battle in Endgame aswell
The wrist laser was always an unstable component, in ironman 2 he has to replace the lenses after each use for example.
Lasers are a humongous pain in the arse to weaponize.
Not to mention in the scene he's referencing Tony even directly states it's a 1-shot thing. Because War Machine asks him why he didn't do that sooner. So it's even explained in movie canon why it's not just used willy-nilly.
Super late, but he uses it:
Twice in The Avengers, once while fixing the Helicarrier and again in the scene you just mentioned.
Once in Civil War, to block an entrance that Cap was trying to get through during the fight in the silo.
Once in Homecoming to saunter the ferry back together.
Once in Infinity War to get into the "flying donut."
Once in Endgame to dispatch a group of Outriders in the final battle before he gets reunited with Spider-Man.
Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins (Odin) has the best beard in MCU no contest.

On the topic of Marvel villains coming back, I always anticipated the Red Skull's return. I knew when I saw it that he wasn't obliterated, but rather thrown across time and space (or rather just space once the Tesseract was established to be the Space Stone.) We'll just have to wait until next year to know if his arc is now over or if he's going to return for real.
Unfortunately, even if they do bring him back, it'll more than likely be a new actor in the role. Because apparently Hugo Weaving fucking hated making the first Captain America and working with Marvel. Even in his cameo in Infinity War and Endgame it was a different actor.

Considering that the bubble scarlet witch made around him condensed all the fire and heat from the explosion, and the damage done to the building around him, there’s probably nothing left of Rumlow except for a grease stain on the floor.

"Its too hard to introduce mysticism into the Marvel Universe..." Meanwhile, almost 3 years later and on episode 9 of WandaVision.
My favourite part of this video was Jeff Bridges, the guy who plays The Dude himself was constantly stressed about not having everything planned out. I want to see a backstage clip of the filming of the Big Lebowski with The Dude being super anal about all of his actions.

I don't think that they ever say that Bridges didn't like the movie. In fact, it seems like he really enjoyed it and wanted to come back for a sequel. It just seemed like when they first started production it was a huge pain in the ass.
I cannot possibly agree more when it comes to your breakdown of the Mandarin and Trevor Slattery. They both were woefully underutilized in the MCU.

I immediately thought of maleketh as well, mostly because Chris Eccleston is great. I'd say Ant Man 2 showed that they can successfully lower the stakes from the dizzying heights they've gotten to as well.
Malekith seems very flamboyant in the comics, I wonder how flamboyant Chris can be?
He's used the cutter again after. He used it in the scene when he was clearing the debree from the damaged propellors on the helacarrier after Hawkeyes mind control induced attack, you even see him eject the cartridge for it before jumping down onto the debree to dislodge it after cutting it. And used it again to try and cut through the hide of the of the giant air serpent armored things in the fight for new york.
Have a movie where after Endgame a portal opens to an alternate reality and Iron Man is ejected into our world.
All the avengers are pumped that Tony is back only to open it and find Jebediah. He explains that in his timeline Tony died redirecting the nuke into space and as Tony's faithful right hand (he wasn't a bad guy in his timeline) he took over as Iron Man.
This way he can come back for another movie with the option for more if he's up for it.

The Ironman: Armored Adventures series had the solution. The Mandarin's rings were advanced alien tech too complex to be understood and had been revered by early humans as magic, thus they are easy for the Mandarin (an asian mob boss with a samurai-like power suit) to integrate with his own tech.

Never understood why people say they ruined the Mandarin. He's pretty shit in the comics. At his best he's a 3rd rate Doctor Doom and at his worst he's a racist caricature.
I thought it was quite clever what they did with him, acknowledging he's the embodiment of western xenophobic fears and having the real villain essentially be the military industrial complex.

They didn't ruin the Mandarin because of his lack of characterization from the comics (which WAS racist), they ruined it because before the reveal of him being trevor, Ben Kingsley was killing it as the Mandarin. His videos talking to the American public on TV telling us about our dark history (which our education system tends to shy away from)with the Natives and ect. was ACTUALLY good and was compelling. Only for him to be some asshole actor when throughout the whole movie he was pretty intimidating.
I'd imagine what'd be like if the pre reveal mandarin actually had the ten rings. Such wasted potential.

For me the Thor beard is the best. I'm biased, Thor is my favorite. Named two of my pet rats Thor and Loki! Thor was the nice cuddly one, and Loki was just constantly bullying Thor. Those names fit them so well. Thor the Rat was my 2nd favorite pet rat ever. Vegeta the Rat was first!

You know what I'd do to reintroduce Trevor Slatterly/The Mandarin? After "Hail To The King" I'd have the underling guys take Trevor to where the Mandarin is, and Trevor's still doing his whole Trevor bit. When he's finally before the Mandarin, tall, imposing and regal, the Mandarin walks up to him, pauses for a bit, and then reverently kneels before him. And Trevor's whole demeanor changes, puts his hand on his head and says,"You've done well, my son. I'll take it from here." Bad ass.

Depends on what we're talking about when it comes to beards.
Style-wise, I think Stark's beard is the one that comes out on top. It's probably the most iconic when you think about the Marvel universe.
When it comes to comic-book portrayal, Kurt Russell, better-known as Ego, definitely fits the character's look almost to a tee.
Fully bearded would probably also go to Kurt Russell, especially in the actual movies because Jeff Bridges doesn't fully grow out his cowboy beard.
If we're talking about potential to grow out beards completely, then I would give it to Jeff Bridges because he can probably grow the biggest and manliest beard.
As for Thor, Captain, and Stark I think Thor has the beard that is the fullest, with a close second given to Captain. Stark doesn't ever fully grow out his beard and I can only imagine that is because Downey Jr. can't physically grow a full enough beard.
Lastly, we have Chris Pratt's, or Starlord's beard which has the most hero-aesthetic value, where his beard almost seemingly matches his helmet when he isn't wearing it.
Then again, these are all my own opinion, of course, and ultimately I think, with the exception of Chris Pratt and Downey Jr., that they are all pros at fully growing their beards. That isn't to say that Downey Jr. and Chris Pratt can't have a unique style, as all of the characters, in my humble opinion, have amazing facial hair. Chalk that up to stylists, though, because they are the real heroes.

I loved Armoured Adventures, I saw the whole series within a month. Now I listen to the theme every once in a while.
The animated show theme song IS in the Iron Man movie. It is Rhodey's phone's ringtone from when Tony calls him back after "driving in the canyon."
