Be honest, the idea of Santa having his sleigh pulled by lovable huskies is pretty fucking awesome, and it would be an amusing thing to tell kids the reason why dogs seem to bark and howl at nothing all year round is because they miss Santa.

I feel like you should also also talk about DC's version of Santa Claus, he is able to yearly bypass constantly advancing security systems, designed specifically to prevent him from delivering coal directly to Darkseid himself.

One of these days someone has to write a story where Darkseid invades Earth just to kill Santa.
Every year, once Santa delivers the coal to Darkseid personally in front of all Apokalypes. The second he starts leaving, every time without fail, Darkseid immediately starts trying to kill him either with parademons and other soldiers under his command, or he’ll try to personally kill Santa. Every year for hundreds of years, Darkseid has failed to kill Santa because D.C. Santa is from a higher realm than that of the New Gods. It’s pretty hilarious when you think about it.

When I was a kid, my dad was extra af with making sure I believe in Santa. Every year I would write a letter to Santa, my dad would pretend to send it, and a week or two later I would get a reply letter from Santa. My dad make custom Santa Claus return address labels, and office of Santa Claus stationary that he would type it out on. He made it look official af, and wrote the reply letter completely in rhyme.
@Sean Wilkinson nah, my dad never went old school with it. He always typed out the letters, and printed them off on custom North pole stationary. He signed the letters with ballpoint pen like how you would expect somebody would sign a modern business letter. The fact that he spent extra money on custom made stationary and return address labels to make the letters look like genuine letters from Santa Claus is the real bow on the present.

Actually the theory that Santa was originally Odin is an actual theory IRL, I don't remember it entirely, but it's a thing.

One of our traditions is to draw a key for santa so he can get in. We would tape it to the door. When we would wake up the paper was replaced with a blank page and the key placed on top of it inside on the living table next to the tree.

Many magical beings exists in the marvel universe, of course there are witches, elves, Goddesses and Gods but there are also fairies (who Gambit flirted with I think, and the X-Man Pixie is part fairy), vampires, werewolves, Mermaids (different from Atlanteans) and many many more. We need them in a movie-obs we had elves in Thor, vampires will be in blade, I think moon Knight might introduce some magic beings(as they are supposedly filming in The UK and I hope that means Elsa Bloodstone who is a demon hunter and fairies are often from Britain in the Marvel universe) A Namor movie is hopefully coming so we've got Atlanteans and maybe mermaids. Wow I went off on one, could you tell I like the fantastical and Marvel comics
I believe the Namor movie rights belong to Universal and the only way to have him in the MCU is having him be in crossovers like Hulk. Most likely through the Fantastic Four movie given the history between the two.

I can't believe you guys skipped the best part: One time while delivering presents in Latveria, Castle Doom's defense system accidentally knocked down Santa putting him out of commission for the night, and Doctor Doom had to fill in for Santa to deliver the presents to the children. The Avengers then start following Santa Doom to an orphanage where they begin fighting him until the children woke up, and Doom had to tell the children that the Avengers were helping him deliver the presents. The story ends with Santa giving Doctor Doom a teddy bear...

I imagine Santa would give religiously appropriate gifts to people of different religions as long as they've been good, since Santa himself technically isn't related to any specific religion, the only connection he has to Christianity is that Christmas was originally about jesus, santa himself doesn't have anything specific to any religion as far as I can tell since no one ever says "Oh well you only can get presents from santa if you're christian, usually what happens is people either believe in another entity other then santa or they have a different thing going, so to summarize santa would probably give you a gift regardless of your religion so long as you've been nice and the gifts he would give would be religiously appropriate.

One of the my most memorable episodes from 90's X-Men was "Have Yourself a Morlock Little X-Mas", where they celebrated Christmas in a literal sewer. Saddest Christmas ever.

Actually, Santa is partially based off of Odin, its not just something thats done in the comics. The concept of Santa flying around in a sleigh is based off of Odin's war sleigh, which was pulled my an eight legged horse named Sleipnir. The idea of leaving snacks out is also based off Odin, in that children would leave boots full of hay and carrots out for a hungry Sleipnir and in return there would be presents in the boots in the morning.
I was told as a kid, that if I looked at Santa when he is deliving gifts, the elves would kick your eyes out with their pointy boots! My family was horrible 🤣

Odin IS actually believed to be part of Santa’s origin in real life, it just so happens that he is a character in the Marvel universe as well
The base was in "Korvatunturi" (in finnish korva means ear( but it might in this case be a modified version of "korpi" which means a far away forest) and tunturi is a type of arctic hill/mountain) but if you actually gothere irl there actually is an "official santas shop"

Here were I live chimneys are unnecessary so we don't have it. So usually they tell kids that Santa either comes through a window/a door, or the just appears inside the house, or he made the presents appear under the tree from outside.
The idea of santa being inspired by odin is actually something that comes from reality.
I grew up in a house without a chimney, so our version was that instead of the chimney, Santa climbs down the hot water cupboard. (With the added bonus that because the hot water cupboard opened onto the parents' bedroom due to weird renovations, they were able to pull a "dad goes to sleep for the afternoon because he's tired, and while he's asleep Santa comes out from the hot water cupboard to hand out presents and then head back out before he wakes up again".
Video was great, but I wish they would've mentioned Santa's escapades in the DC universe. Like how he braves apokalypse every year to give Darkseid a lump of coal

There's a FANTASTIC movie that came out in 2020, which is similar to the Deadpool Santa assassin story, called Fatman. Mel Gibson plays Santa, and Walton Goggins is the assassin. I highly suggest checking it out this Christmas.
