I currently own a rg and cant wait to trade it in and go back to a softail like a lowrider st The radio has no sound over 60mph The power to weight sucks, the rear suspension is worse than a softtails monoshock Its a pita to walk backwards out of a parking spot Unless your willing to spend thousands on audio/cam/handlebar and suspension upgrade a soft tail is far superior Its great for long touring and two up and storage is great but if you only do that so often and mostly shorter 2-3hour weekend fun rides the soft tail is better dont fall for the hype As laidlaw says really consider your riding Luckily they have a good resale so ill have no problem downsizing and modding a softtail to taste when im ready
That’s the only reason why I haven’t gone bagger. I don’t do any touring and most of my rides are local so my low rider s is perfect for me at the moment.
It is about as worth it as any car or truck out there. They are all aimed at 200% profit or more and count on them needing parts and service as often as possible. None of them are actually worth near the sticker price.
I recently bought a ‘23 Low Rider ST thinking I would never want a big bagger. Then I made the mistake of demo riding the same Road Glide during the demo days. It was so smooth and comfortable. Took me a bit to get used to my Low Rider afterwards, way different riding position. May have to get one someday 😂
I see your video review. I’ll check that out. Yeah it’s extremely smooth and the comfort was instant. With the lrs it takes a bit of work to dial in that comfort. I’ll def own a bagger one of these days
Ride the Indian Challenger, it’s a way better engineered bike and handles light years ahead of the Road Glide. If you want all of the above, go withe thenBMW K1600b. I’ve rode many HD Road Glides including a 22 RG Special last Friday, and owned the Challenger for two years but now own the BMW. BMW is the ultimate in comfort and handling. It’s 160hp hangs with a lot of the sport bikes. 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and 10.9 qtr mile with a ECU Bren Tune which adds 15hp.
I’ve demo’d a challenger and yes, it handles so much better vs a roadglide. Would love to test out some BMWs as well. Hopefully in the near future. Thanks!
i tried the street glide for me the motor was kind of weak hate de first gear to short to my taste for the same price i bought the Triumph Rocket 3 GT with the bags and wow 153 cubic inches instead of 107 ci for the Sreet Glide, yes the Harley have more wind protection and radio but i listen my music in my helmet what i like about the Rocket its the performance the torque is amazing and the fun come with the torque, a long first gear i like that if you try the Rocket their no way your going back to any other motorcycles, its so unique its a beast of a bike.
I have a new 2023 anniversary Tri-Glide. I do my own work and I just did my 5000-mile inspection. I found the front axle pinch bolt was stripped out in the socket. The brake fluid had almost 4% water content. The heat deflectors didn't have the special nuts crimped, so the lower screws were doing nothing. The spark plug wires were not tie strapped to the frame under the seat area. The adjuster on the rear axle was 3/16" wider on the right side compared to the left side and the triple tree is a few degrees to the right when the front wheel is straight. The ground strap in the trunk was disconnected. So I would say that Harley's quality control is not there. I paid $48000
Buy used. in 2018 I bought a one year old with just over 500 miles for a 1/3 discount off the price of new. I had to look for six months but it can be done. I also bought a Road king the same way.

i have yet to hope on a road glide or a street glide. need to get on that
You’d like it
I'm all about Harleys and always have been but the older I get the more I consider getting a Goldwing lol Not old enough for that yet though.
Goldwings are sick. I wish I could test ride one
I ride a street glide but the Honda Goldwing is probably the best motorcycle ever made.

Yeah, I prefer to stick to the used market
I don’t think this is a special? I just bought a special Saturday and all my chrome is painted black. Handlebars, engine, gas cap, mufflers, etc
I think you can get all black or chrome
What do you like more, the road glide or street glide?
I personally prefer the road glide

I’m 5’8” and I easily flatfoot my Road Glide ST. 🤔
You sure you’re not 5’5”?😅
Lol when you’re short every inch matters so I’ve checked. 😂 I have a short inseam tho. Im all torso apparently
it this machine reliable ? what about the heat emission from the engin ?
It’s definitely reliable as the m8 engine has been out for a while now.
Not worth it IMHO.
Good vid, thanks for posting. Ride safe!
Yeah not at that price. I’ll stick with my current bikes lol

I’d love to test out the rocket. I’m sure it’ll ruin every other motorcycle for me though
that's how i felt about the indian challenger. i was kinda intimidated at first but once i was on the road i was shocked. handled so well!!
It was one of the best handling bikes I’ve ever tested out.
@@IronBornRider awesome

We can be twins!
@@IronBornRider lol
Definitely not worth the marked up prices that dealers are charging for them.
Yeah a big reason why I’m not even considering buying one yet
