Every time I see a video about the rotational aspect of the golf swing, I'm grateful to see such a logical tip. For a perfect example of why this makes sense, just look at the IRON BYRON; it's a mechanical golf machine that wings on a totally fixed CIRCLE. There's no sway, no straight-back takeaway. It's a powerful, perfectly efficient CIRCLE. Great video. Thank you.
Thx for braving the wind to bring this video. Club path basics can never be stressed too much. Your channel and insight has helped take me from a 12hcp to 6hcp during 2023. More please.
Ok, I am back! Whichever way I look at it, this tip has transformed my entire game. Not only am I scoring way better, It has also reignited my love of the game which was waning as my tweaking was wrecking everything. Can't thank you enough Steve
Steve, months ago your driver video lesson saved my golf season. Was having slice problems. This is another that I’m going to work on my irons! Thanks!
I’m a Eureka swing golfer. I’ve said this before, Steve has changed my game. I wish he lived in 🇨🇦, I’d be treating him to rounds at the course and the pub. BTW, congrats on 100K subs, you should have more than any other online coach in the UK but that day is coming. Lastly, Steve and another online coach (not fair to mention on Steve’s channel) has absolutely the best sounding strikes. Keep up the amazing content.
Well this is ridiculous. I have been golfing for 20+years with little improvement, until now. This latest video just makes the swing so easy to understand. Nothing could have been simpler to follow and to put into practice. For the 1st time I now see the club on the same path and correct path. Its so easy to visualise the alignment stick and the club travelling on that line. It just make so much sense. I feel more confident than at any previous time. Well done Steve, I think you have just helped me in a way I would never have imagined.
Been following the same instruction from Tom Saguto recently, exactly the same principle here! It works SO well, changed my game recently! Great stuff Steve
Ok Steve hope your still doing your coaching videos as this is class as I know you were thinking about stopping them but hope you had a change of heart as your enthusiasm is second to none no matter the weather so keep it going pal 👍🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
What a great video. Easy steps explained and easy to follow. This is the sort of information and exercises I need as I have spent 30 years trying to break 100!. This year I hope it happens with this type of content. Keep up the good work.
Steve, thank you for keeping your videos simple. I purchased the GEM because of how simple it seemed to implement into my practice sessions. I was stuck as a 15 hcp for a decade, I am now a 8 hcp. Keep up the great videos , cheers mate.
Steve you are just a great coach and I love the simplicity of what you are teaching. Too often we get far too complicated with swing path weight transfer ,grip etc etc and you tell it as it should be. Thank you Steve you would be appreciated here in the USA teaching for sure 😊
@@dtmcbride that’s probably close. I’m a simple guy and when you’re on the course, there are no canes, so I’m wondering how to determine the correct angle in real conditions.
Tried this today Steve on the course. It works so well for my shorter irons, i get more distance and accuracy. However , sad to say I struggle with 7, 6, 5 irons. High tendency to slice badly. Maybe i am trying too hard becaue I am expecting great distance. In reality, i can see my face is too open to path as I swing from the path you described. Clearly I am doing something very wrong with setup. It has set my long iron game backwards. Any advice?
Every single time you post, I hit that like button. As you provide a nice and simple content. Plus you sound like my brother in law. Just don’t post anything after a few too many drinks as I can’t understand a word he says then. 😂
hi Steve , great video as always. i'm adopting your Eureka swing and I noticed that your stance is less open. Is that the case, or is it a camera angle?
Steve, good stuff but I find myself slightly confused on the backswing. What you say on tracing the club head on that angle makes sense, but for a while I've been following the advice about "starting backswing with hands in and tracing clubhead back down the line from ball position before turning". I'll try your technique but can you explain if both those techniques are effectively the same, or if you are saying not to take the clubhead back straight...? Cheers
Thanks. In part 1 your feet were lined up with red cane or straight then in part 2 it seemed you had opened your stance. Do we use an open stance or is that just to keep us from going over the top?
How many degrees or angle do you put on the white path cane. And do the two canes meet up in the centre of your standance? Great vid as always. Paul via Stirling
I can not wait to try this on range. How about after impact what is your swing path? Can you tell us so that would complete the swing path. Is it inside to inside ?
Biggest compliment I can give this tip is that it's one of only 2 I keep on my timeline... Mr Johnston and Mr Saguto take a bow! I was on the verge of giving up, I finally have hope again. One question though, does this principle stay the same for wedge play as well?
You have a little move at the top that looks a slight steepening of the swing plane. Not that it is a bad thing but apparently necessary in your swing. What is that move, what is the feel, why do you do it.? (other than making your swing work)
this is why golf is so confusing.I can show you tens of videos that state the opposite of what you said in your video.I am not saying that you are wrong and the other ones are right, I am saying that there are so many different opinions among the teachers on how to swing a club that the poor golfer , at the end he doesnt know anymore what to do
Absolutely Stefan….The GOAT Jack Nicklaus had perfect ball striking…..and his path was more vertical than inside….I’ve studied everyone; Hogan, Trevino, Furyk, Couples, Miller, Mediate, and listened to Mike Austin, Cowen, Foley….they all have different views…If Nicklaus is “old” school then count me in…No one has been better…not even Woods….This guy is moving the ball all around and He’s all upper body…sounds like he’s’ had too many Red Bulls….blah..blah…blah…
I think that keeping it simple is probably the best bet! In my journey to reinvent my swing, and to better my game, I’ve found that: ball positioning, grip “feel”, and timing of the transition between backswing and downswing, have been the best advice!
Your comparing professionals who have played since they were children had the best coaching, have hit a million balls? To amateurs which is ridiculous! What matters is impact, and this coach and most others on TH-cam are helping amateurs golfers who play once or twice a week at most get to the correct position. Hell most golfers can’t ever get into the positions a pro does
Steve, have enjoyed many of your videos but 100% disagree, i've stuggled for many years playing off 16ish in the last 2 years my handicap dropped to 7 with 1 adjustment, i changed my take away to straight back and up with the clubhead always outside my hands and yes, Eureka perfect contact almost all the time.. Maybe its just me but the difference is unbelievable.
Only goes to show how many different ways there are to strike a golf ball well. My teaching pro would not be happy with such a flat takeaway. He advises taking the club straight back for at least the first few feet??

I’ll keep them coming. More in the members section of the channel 👍
just watched again, quite simply, this is gold! If you watch one TH-cam tip video in your life, make sure it's this one!
Awesome, thanks Simon 👍👍
Ok, I am back! Whichever way I look at it, this tip has transformed my entire game. Not only am I scoring way better, It has also reignited my love of the game which was waning as my tweaking was wrecking everything. Can't thank you enough Steve
Amazing Simon👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Like the video. you’re stressing the path. What is the angle of the white cane or how should we position the white path?
Brilliant video Steve. Tks and HNY to you
For me is this the best Video ever, sooo good.
Happy new year from Braunschweig, Germany.
Thanks, happy new year! 🏴 🇩🇪
Thanks for all your efforts. Happy New Year. Congrats on 101K subscribers, hope you double that next year.
Love it. Happy new year
Centred, path, straight left arm.
Centred, path, straight left arm.
That’s my mantra now, great video, as ever. 👏👏👏
Easy mantra to remember.
Enfin un coach qui cherche la simplicité ! Je vais suivre votre conseil! Nice drill! 🤗 from France

As someone getting back into the game after months this is a great starter tip thank you
The question is what is the angle of the path to the target line?
Best I could measure from the screen is about 20°-22°.
Maybe up to 30°?
Looks Like fresh air and clean. Just like oregon. Have fun and look at the scenery when golfing. Life is good.
You're a fantastic teacher, man. I'm a beginner. I'll be rewatching these in the Spring.
love this, thank you, ive not had the bug for golf since July last yr, but after watching this its getting the juices flowing again
Perfect, get to the range and hit a few👍

Steve love your enthusiasm and videos. If I followed this I would hook the life out of everything!
HI Steve, tried this process and it works very well.
Steve, thank you for keeping your videos simple. I purchased the GEM because of how simple it seemed to implement into my practice sessions. I was stuck as a 15 hcp for a decade, I am now a 8 hcp. Keep up the great videos , cheers mate.
I just love this guy! Happy New Year Steve!
Your the very man I been looking for
Hey 👋
Steve you are just a great coach and I love the simplicity of what you are teaching. Too often we get far too complicated with swing path weight transfer ,grip etc etc and you tell it as it should be. Thank you Steve you would be appreciated here in the USA teaching for sure 😊
I love your work coach.
Great video. Thanks v much.
Thanks, Steve. The stick set up is a different compared to you other videos. Is this a new arrangement to simplify the cane set up?
Brilliant as usual 😊
Great video thanks. What is the angle between the white stick and the orange stick and does it vary from club to club? Thank you.
Really good video well explained
Brilliant Steve
Great video Steve
Happy new year 🎉
Happy New Year👍👍💥
Steve, super video! With the white cane, how do you know if you’re laying it down at the correct angle to achieve the proper path?
I was also thinking about the same thing.
Glad you asked the question on behalf of myself and others.
Looks like 30-40 degrees or so
@@dtmcbride that’s probably close. I’m a simple guy and when you’re on the course, there are no canes, so I’m wondering how to determine the correct angle in real conditions.
Thankyou for this I definitely want to try it.
Hey mate what is the angle of the white cane on the ground to create the swing path? Cheers great video
Great lesson as always. Happy new year
Thanks. Happy New Year
Thanks Steve. I needed that one.😂
Love it brill thanks few more yards aswell
Great lesson Steve, have a great new year.
ok. very simple drill. I like
Come visit and do some coaching in the US please!
Steve, great video. Question, what is angle of swing path stick?
Thanks Steve. Happy hogmany, laddie 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
Hi just found this looks so easy but as a senior golfer my 7 iron 130 yards carry would I need more speed for this
Were do the hips move in this Steve
I sometimes think your as mad as a box of frogs BUT you are also the best and simplest teacher on this crazy Web.... Nice one Steve...
Ha ha 🐸…. Thanks, I think😉
hey, what’d you say is the approx angle of the path (white) cane in relation to the target line?
Check out www.eurekagolfswing.com for all the detail you need. Iron swing series has all the answers 👍👍👍
Thanks Steve
Just back from range, went from 150 to 155 yard 7 iron average to 175 to 185 average. Struggled with path a little but massive gain on yardage.
Watching the video your left leg appears to move to the left on the back swing is this to give greater stability or was it the wind !
Any advice?
I think the real problem is my back and hips are "locked up" after doing ceiling repairs and painting... Often up and down a ladder
Every single time you post, I hit that like button. As you provide a nice and simple content. Plus you sound like my brother in law. Just don’t post anything after a few too many drinks as I can’t understand a word he says then. 😂
Aren’t you doing a inside to inside down swing where club exiting on your left side and not going inside out swing?
Hi Steve when i start down swing do i stay inside to out or do i get the club head back on target line
Will Tha work with diver to
Hi Steve great video, silly question what angle is the white cane for the path…
Cheers Trevor
Yeah same what is the angle of the white cane on the ground?
Consistent posture also contributes
hi Steve , great video as always. i'm adopting your Eureka swing and I noticed that your stance is less open. Is that the case, or is it a camera angle?
Great video, makes you wonder why we would ever need another 😂. Thanks
Cheers
Are you consciously thinking tuck the right elbow on the way down?
From a clock standpoint is it fair to say that the down swing goes seven - two - ten?
Thanks. In part 1 your feet were lined up with red cane or straight then in part 2 it seemed you had opened your stance. Do we use an open stance or is that just to keep us from going over the top?
I can't believe you don't use a Spurk mat! A winter golf essential for me 😂 Cardrona is looking great... I need to get back there for a round 👌
How many degrees or angle do you put on the white path cane. And do the two canes meet up in the centre of your standance? Great vid as always. Paul via Stirling
Hey Paul, the iron swing series at www.eurekagolfswing.com explains all. Thanks Steve👍
I like your approach. I struggle with hip turn in my backswing. I think this may be part of the reason I hit thin or pushed sots😩😒
An early wrist set it the way forward, not coming inside, which leads to then coming over the top or a wild pull hook
Steve, it looks like you are aiming for the same path as in Eureka, but are not setting up open. Is this advocating a different setup than Eureka?
Love your channel Steve. In this you appear to come inside and then slightly over the top to me. Looks good though. I will give it a try.
Those horses are having a great time.
Thanks Steve. Question, your comments suggest that your not weight shifting consciously so do you just think 50/50 through both legs at address?

Old school vs new school simple
Steve? Aren't they telling us to keep the club outside hands" on the take away. ? Im a bit confused
Coming back so far inside isn’t great if like me you come back way under plane. Any solutions to that particular problem?
Steve, have enjoyed many of your videos but 100% disagree, i've stuggled for many years playing off 16ish in the last 2 years my handicap dropped to 7 with 1 adjustment, i changed my take away to straight back and up with the clubhead always outside my hands and yes, Eureka perfect contact almost all the time..

Sorry if I am mistaken, but I feel like sort of over the top movement
Guid yin.
You can wind up your legs, thus transferring your weight, without "moving off the ball." Hogan never advocated dead legs.
Forward shaft lean… minimized…? See these videos and slow motion…. Impact position?
Butt of club at target on backswing butt at target on downswing and let it go. Start with short wedges escalate through the bag…
Why a mat off tees? If you need one, get a Spurk mat, stays put after the hit. You’re welcome. 😊
My teacher is showing me the exact opposite of this lol
To many moving parts for weekend golfers.
But the GEM is inline with your toes.. 🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️
One plane golf swing? ...Nope. I find it way to easy to take the club to far inside when you're not turning well some days and you lose distance.
Another who thinks distance does not matter....
Very flat, don’t think Nicklaus, Woods, Watson etc could swing like that
You are to far inside and coming over the top
Loved this, ty!
I didn't rate it. 🥨
