It is quite amazing how every question leads to an empty page. Even more amazing was the apparentness's (is that a word? Well, it is now) response - I suddenly had a sense of reading a book that's trying to convince me of being a person. What a circus. Once the pressure of getting somewhere is off the back, it's kind of fun to apparently be 😁

Hi Kenneth. Could you address this question in a comment or a video? In flow states, there is no self it seems. is what you're describing similar to flow but 24/7?

When the you, me, mine, my are dropped off ( my 'mind' becomes 'mindless'), there is no knower and the known.... there is no listener and the listened...there is no seer and the seen...so on and so forth!

I had this awesome 'direct experience' of waking up when one day I was driving on a sea side road... suddenly ...'seeing' the Sun was setting in the late afternoon!
The whole World is 1 single Sunset!!!
It seems to "me"that condemning the me /ego only promotes more searching, more confusion , and more self hatred.The ego is basically a sense of me that was formed in childhood and is the hurt, angry, confused child who then created his immature version of reality and continues to influence the supposed adult. That me is still demanding an unrealistic, unattainable life of purity, safety, certainty, dependency and a host of imaginary qualities Unearthing the buried me, examining, forgiving, accepting and integrating that part of you with the rest of the whole including the wiser self seems more realistic, and productive than trying to convince it it is not real. Yes it is not real, but it still define you if insist on ignoring it. Just don't believe it, but acknowledge that too is just what's happening.
Also, if there is an appearance of changes, cause and effect, what does that tell us about time?
And that sense of progression or regression, getting better or worse, evolving or devolving, etc...is all an illusion...not that the individual can seem to have their life more or less orderly and on a path...not that skills and knowledge can't develop...but really, essentially, nothing is changing. There isn't even that individual, and when knowledge or skill is looked into , there is nothing there. Literally nothing is moving, nothing goes forward or back, evolution and devolution, growth and decay have always been illusions...appearing to be there but really....just....not.....
Dear kenneth, if there is no one here, who is it that notices what is apparent? Shouldn't there be one who notices the conversation, pain, etc? Thanks!
Not Kenneth, but there is simply what is happening. Seeing, noticing, observing, etc happen without a subject doing them. Just as a storm appears to happen. There is no looking for the “I” that is storming. Expand this to all that is conventionally seen as a personal doing.
