Their wine is very strange - here it’s a clear colourless liquid a bit like normal white wine, but in some other episodes it bizarrely looks white and cloudy. In reality any wine (including home brew) will not be much different in alcohol content to any regular wine - so maximum of about 15%. To get something that would make people react the way Tom did here you’d need to distill it. Then you could increase the alcohol content to above 40%, as with brandy.
