My Great Grandma, from Poland, had long hair for her whole life, til cancer came along. She wore two braids, I think, and had the crown or across just the top of her head. My hair is not that long, but I hope to have such a crown of glory, too! Loved this video!
You know both what you are talking about, and how to do hair! I appreciated how you showed the silhouette as being the important aspect of the style. The volume necessary for it, as well as the proper yet easy lines for that silhouette. This is essential information. It can get easy to get lost into what specifically is the elements of a look, and you showed it with ease. Thank you.
Oh, the 1940s is very clever! I'd have never thought to use the braid itself as a basis for the rolls. A lot of 1940s styles shown all over tend to be for shorter hair, so it's nice to now know what to recommend if someone needs to dress up for just one occasion, and doesn't feel like attempting a very challenging brush out!
@@jahirareyes1102 longer hair yes but mid thigh would be rare in any era 😆 elaborate hair was more typical for more formal occasions but most daily hair was relatively simple
Thank you for so much helpful advice and demonstration. I have coordination problems which make hairstyling very tricky, and I get so frustrated with videos which say, you just pin it.. like this... without actually explaining which movements to make. Love all your work!

I'm a big fan of easy 1940s braid styles since my hair is a bit long for a proper brush put these days 😅
But, it also had many elaborate updos as well i think which is what most people with longer hair did at the time,i suppose.

Found this fascinating but I don’t know the thing about the bobby pin! No wonder my hair has fallen out so many times!

I think I like 1900s best, followed by the 1940s. I found it really interesting how they basically covered the braid with the side hair for the 1940s.
THANK YOU for making this! I love historical hair inspiration that I can actually do!
Makes me miss my long hair - braided updos are so pretty!
Thank you for all these great tweaks to one basic style! Now I want to go home and play with my hair!
🥰
I sure enjoy your work
😃Great video. Love the intro 🥰. The 1900 is my favorite followed by the 1840😊
Thanks for the video. I always like it when they talk about hair care from that era. ❤
It's really neat how you can get so many styles. What about when you have really short hair?
❤❤❤ 😊
It's interesting how such subtle changes makes such a huge difference! Thank you so much this is super interesting and you look so cute!
I love your hair tutorials because my hair is practically identical to yours (minus the bangs).
This video is an actual godsend, thank you so much ❤❤
