That round 2 ended so dramatically! OT, heals flying. I rlly like the damage denying idea in first g3, should definitely try it out with my opponent's orfist next time. How you play zorga is so efficient

I did it because i bricked a bit.
Ideally we want to win by controlling the g2 game. If we win it, they would naturally ride up and we do persona. If they do not, and we can ride up and kill that is also fine.
I only did the ride up instead of staying on g2 for more attacks because i rly wanted to plus and see the cards on that situation.
So the priority is as this:
-force a situation where they do ride up by staying on g2 (or if they do not/ you can win by riding up 1st, doing so).
-just in case we brick and they open for the deny play, we can do this. But if on the same scenario, we can keep up, is better to stay g2, generally speaking.

@@ZorgaVS When you said "staying on g2", do you mean literally not riding into your g3? I'm kinda new to vg in general as well, so i dont understand why you would not ride to g3 at all

@@erickgilbert7686 yeah, literally not riding into g3 for one turn. to put an exemple, imagine you went 1st, but you manage to put 2 rpds on board t2, then he rides t2, but can only call 1 rear. (2 attacks) vs your 3 swings.
if you would stay doing 3 and 2 swings every turn, that is 1 more attack you are doing compared to the oponent. this means the oponent is likely to be forced to ride into g3 before you, losing the persona ride tempo even if he went second for that game.
this is something that does also come up when playing against stride decksets, where dominating the early game is very important :3
(ofc this cannot be reduced to just call 3 attackers, because the oponent can also call theirs and swing into your rears to build and stronger board. many moves can be done to interact with this, so its important to not overcommit cards too fast aswell)

@@ZorgaVS Wow, never thought about that. So to put it in simpler terms, not riding to g3 is good against masques and stride decks?

If I were you I wouldn't damage the deny for the 2nd game and just go in for the kill on my first g3 turn because I have keel in the drop this way he can die faster before he can ot me of course because its fun to make ur opponent suffer on their first g2 turn.

Actually, one of orfist weaknesses is that it can be put undercontrol with plays like this. Ideally i would prefer to either stay in g2 or ride into a full powered turn 3, but i had no safe way of winning on neither of those plays. Riding up to plus and find rhe missing pieces while slowing orfist down was the right play here imo. Basicly it worked as a better g2 game as i managed to persona ride 1st one turn after but making sure i had full tempo when i would do so by using that turn to set things up.
Unfortunately he got the double defensive on my kill turn, but i think the play fullfilled its objective jeje

@@ZorgaVSThat's an interesting perspective there but I found most success based on my rush playstyle but I would sure love to try tempo gaming against it.
+Note: Perhaps if I were to play tempo I wouldn't ride into g3 and just swing his side.

@@nemothefish1906 yeah, i usually prefer to stay on g2 aswell but the hand was a bit bricky and i felt i could not keep up with it. But im not sure about the specifics. I think i will try to rewatch
