I felt so sad the whole time u were showing us that beautiful place! It's amazing!! I know it was a business retreat but I really feel that, initially, it was someone's home who loved it very much! That place is way too beautiful to go to waste like that!

Look forward to it. This location is really something else. I appreciate the way you pick out details I always ponder over. Nice to see a place that hasn't been smashed by the wrecking generation. The camera work was awesome it catches a vibe about this place like an energy that's still there. My favourite comment from this did tho is "Behold the Swamp" Class! Hope the wife recovers all good man. Would love to see a pic of this place in its heyday. It does have that swingers retreat/ hippie vibe about it. Look forward to the next one brother.
Sending love to your wife! I broke my leg 7 weeks ago, and am only allowed out of my boot cast at home! I know exactly how she feels! And it's hard and to walk after. It's like learning to walk all over! Take good care of her :)
Robb: Your video on the "MOUNTAIN RETREAT" TOTALLY blew me away since I have a long term connection to this facility.
I worked here for over 25 yrs for the founder beginning in the mid seventies. At one time it was considered the "Architectural Jewel" of Sterling Forest. It really pains me to see our former beautiful & unique facility in such neglected trashed condition.
I could barely stand to look at the condition of my former office located on the ground floor of the center building.

It would not be in this condition if it would not be for the @%$#& vandals.

The stairs in this house reminds me of the Escher print "Relativity" that was popular with all the "heads" back in the 70's. Don't ask me how I know...
I was thinking along the same lines, I also got the Feeling of a Frank Lloyd Wright kinda outlook similar to Fallingwater with ponds, stairs and decking

Ouch! I broke my left arm and that was a pain. I wish your wife healing and wellness on her journey to her broken leg healing. them poor old 1970's hunter original ceiling fans im surprised they were still free spinning after sitting so long with old oil in them
Those old Hunter fans were built to last. As an electrician, I've come across some that still worked after well over 20 years. Better then the crap made today...

I'm a real estate buyer and a complete 60"s and 70's Architecture nut could you please share with me privately where this Location (I.E.) address is as i would be interested in possibly purchasing it from it's current owner's that is if the price is right .. I too found it fascinating and was utterly amazed that someone or thing would just up and walk away from such an amazing and potentially profitable property

I think that it is a bit too large for a home and it would be difficult to maintain, With all the large windows, heating would cost a fortune. While it could be divided up and rooms created, it still does not feel quite right.

One of the coolest houses I've ever seen. I would've loved to have seen that house in its prime. The stone and woodwork was insane. So much blood sweat and tears put into building that retreat. Shame nobody has bought it and it's going to waste. Damn shame.

Is it up For Sale? You should ask the township....probably can get it for next to nothing. Like a tax sale. That is how I scored a beautiful 6 acre property with a gorgeous approx.125 yr. old cabin on it. Mind you I live in Canada and I don't know where you are...I assume the States.
